NPC into Player: Let's Wreck This Game

Chapter 68: Grode Chest Plate Cursed Gear

Bloom just sucked a cold breath of air at this moment. He knew the huge difference in replenishing twenty percent and eighty percent with one gulp in any fight; it was like the difference between life and death.

He checked his own gold coins, and he found it wasn't sufficient to sustain buying many potions of the high caliber.

"Ok, give ten village intermediate potions of Hp and Stamina, plus three of the will power potions."

"At once, sir," the NPC then leaned under his counter, and then straightened up himself while the potions Bloom asked for were all present in front of him. "Here they are, the total price is two hundred and thirty gold coins."

Bloom took out the amount needed, before feeling some loss of paying such a huge price for just mere twenty three potions. 'I need to learn alchemy and save money, that NPC is really cunning and greedy,' he thought to himself, while taking the potions into his inventory, then leaving the shop.

"Have a good day, sir," the NPC shouted in an excited tone in his voice that made Bloom much angrier, 'I should find a way and steal this shop,' he muttered, as he went again towards the auction house across the street.

Bloom didn't last for long inside the potion house, so when he crossed the street again, he had no hope for his gears to be sold.

However when he just passed the doors of the auction house, he received a series notification of selling his gears.

"System alert: the gear you put on auction was sold at five gold coins. The coins are automatically added to your account."

"System alert: the gear you put on auction was sold at one hundred gold coins. The coins are automatically added to your account."

"System alert: the gear you put on auction was sold at one hundred gold coins. The coins are automatically added to your account."

"System alert: the gear you put on auction was sold at one hundred gold coins. The coins are automatically added to your account."

He checked the alerts with no reference to what was sold with what, however he realized that his level three sword was sold for five gold coins only.

"A fair price," he muttered when glancing at the prices for level five gold grade gears. He was sure when players started flooding the villages, these prices would be long gone, and he might sell level five gold rank gear for ten gold coins at most.

"Sigh, it's trade, always fluctuating, always unpredictable," he sighed while going to his seat again, opening the interface search, and then started to think.

"My main problem would be in the defensive gears, as my defense state is really poor."

He started looking for the most common type of gears he could use to boost his defense; chest plates.

He didn't set the search requirements for high this time, starting from level ten green grade first.

A short list, slightly longer than that five swords list he had seen before, appeared in front of his eyes. He rapidly glanced at the items, focusing on their prices and the main stat addition plus defensive skill.

"Sigh, the cheaper, the weaker," he was upset because what he saw there didn't suit his taste. He cancelled the search and restarted another one, while making the grade silver rank.

This time the list only had fifteen chest plates for the weapon wilder faction. As he just started to glance at them, he was instantly interested in one of them.

"Grode chest plate: Weapon wilders only. grade silver. No level required. A cursed chest plate, cursed by the shrines. No one allying to any shrine can wear it. The chest plate is cursed, so its stats are reduced and its grade is demolished.

Current grade stats: Res +20."

He was attracted to this chest plate due to its unique description. "I never thought to find cursed gears by shrines, never thought gears could be cursed by shrines!"

The current stats didn't interest him, or even make him worry for a single second. He was cursed, he was there at the place of this chest plate, and he understood how mighty and effective these shrine curses were on his stats!

His stats were cursed by the shrine of death and life elders at the same time, and he only stayed with the basic ten percent of his original stats!

"If this chest plate is like me, then I have found a gem!" he muttered, before he hurriedly saw the price. "Wow, only ten gold coins only? that's superb!"

Without any second thoughts, he hurriedly bought the chest plate. The auction ended in less than one minute after placing the bid, as this was the rule set by the owner of it.

"System alert: the auction of the gear you took part in ended, and you got the gear. The gear is automatically transferred into your inventory."

"Let's see what you are made of," Bloom was curious to see if the chest plate had any change after buying it.

He took out the chest plate, and it wasn't heavy at all. It was a thin piece of curved plate, engraved with many small writings that he didn't recognize.

"Enchanted, huh, he muttered, as he started to investigate the data of this silver colored chest plate.

"Grode chest plate: Weapon wilders only. grade silver. No level required. A cursed chest plate, cursed by the shrines. No one allying to any shrine can wear it. The chest plate is cursed, so its stats are reduced and its grade is demolished.

Current grade stats: Res +20.

The Player needs to equip it so more info will prevail."

"Huh?!" Bloom didn't know why this seemed quite suspicious, but he had nothing to lose. What would go bad then? Be more cursed? So he hurriedly equipped it, and it perfectly appeared on his chest.

The next moment, a system notification popped up.

"System alert: Player has equipped a cured gear. Player is already an enemy to one shrine at least. Player is already cursed by one shrine at least. Player can equip the gear and the gear is bound under his character. For more info, please return to the gear info page."
