Odin In The Wizarding World

Chapter 32 - Are you f.u.c.kin kidding me?

Following the second task, Edward sees Barty Crouch is waiting for Harry, as he leaves the boad that brought him back to land. From a distance, he can hear Barty tell the boy. ''Congratulations Potter, fine achievement. Well done boy. I'm sorry we haven't spoken, after all your story is one I've heard many times. Quite remarkable. Tragic of course, to lose one's family. Never whole again are we? Still, life goes on. And here we stand. I'm sure your parents would be very proud today Potter.''

Before Harry can apparently say anything, Mad-Eye approaches them, instantly adressing Barty. ''Bartimus! Not trying to lure Potter into one of the ministry's summer internsh.i.p.s are we? Last boy who went into the department of ministries never came out!''

Hearing Mad-Eyes words, Barty walks away, leaving a baffled Harry and a crazed ex-auror behind. Seeing Moody look after Crouch, Edward is surprised to see the wizard unconsciously flick his tongue for ony a millisecond. Filing away this small detail in his mind, Edward leaves with his friends and family.

Despite giving of the appearance of a proper gentleman, internally Edward is fuming. -How dare this old Merlin wanabe of a headmaster put his life and those he cares about at risk.- Had the old a.s.s head only put his life on the line, the former Allfather would be pissed of, but not to the degree of considering to massacering all the people currently residing at Howards, that he is now.

Following the second task, servicing his fans and seperating from his friends and family, Edward storms into Dumbledore's office. Blasting the lare wooden door out of it's frame with only the wave of his wand, he finds the headmaster feed his phenix as if nothing happened.

''Ah, I see you have artived as expected, Edward or what ever you want to be called?'' Asks Dumbledore as if all what was happening went according to his predictions.

Smirking Edward asks. ''Good that you know who is going to raise this place to the ground old man. By the way Edward is fine. I kind of got font of the name by now. Now tell me why?''

''A very interesting question...'' States Dumbledore, as he makes himself some tea. ''... Do you want some?...'' Having his own burning rage already dwindle down ever since blasting the office doors, Edward nods. While making tea for the both of them, the old man rolls Edwards question around in his mouth. ''... Why?... Why are we heare?... Why are we doing what we are doing?... All good questions. As expected from someone blessed by the God of Magic... No easy question.''

Recieving a cup of tea, Edward only smells it for one a moment, before letting the cup including it's contents fall to the foor commenting. ''Sorry, but I prever my tea undiluted with Truth Serum. Nice try by the way, the mint is a nice addition...'' Seeing cracks appear in Dumbledore's confident appearance, he his question less general. ''My question was not aimed at the nature of all thinks, but your interference in today's challenge. You tasked the Merpeople with keeping the captives and you had the sea weed attack and burry us...''

''How did you guess all that?'' Interupts the headmaster Edward, unintentionally confirming his initially unproven suspicion.

Smirking, Edward tells him without giving anything away. ''It isn't that hard, all thinks considered, is it?... Any way... Why all this extra drama? You must have head suspicions regarding my true identity from early on, but why risk it? Why risk me turning all murdery and kill every one, including yoir precious pig Potter?''

Seeing the old man visibly frightened, but refusing to give into his fears, Edward hears Dumbledore ask.''What has Potter to do with me testing your abilities?''

''Oh, please stop assuming the obvious to be concealed!...'' States Edward, feeling insulted by the headmaster's poor mind games. ''... Hermione told me everything about the last three years... Come on the philosopher's stone? The basilisk? The timeturner? You are obviously pushing Potter to be the hero, fattening him up to receive a tragic hero's death. But why involve me?''

''For the greater good good of the people...'' Comments Dumbledore, more to himself than Edward, while contemplating something. Arriving at some kind of a conclusion, the headmaster asks him. ''... Why do you d.e.s.i.r.e the Elder Wand?''

''Hahaha that's what you are asking me? Nothing else like why I am here?...'' Asks Edward baffled, before telling the old man honestly. ''... I want a wand, that can withstand my magic. The wandmaker of the Diagonal Alley told me my magic was similar to that of elfes and that no wand of his could withtstand it long her. So he told me about that Elder Wand that might be able to do it.''

Unable to believe what he is hearing Dumbledore asks the former Allfather. ''So you only want the 'Unbeatable Wand' to work for you like any other?''

Seeing the answer to that question to be self evident and already answered, Edward doesn't even bother to answer and insted asks. ''Why Potter? Aside from being the only person ever to survive the deadly curse, what makes him special? We both know that there are at least three sure ways to do that by the way.''

''It was prophesied for him to defeat Voldemord...'' Explains Dumbledore, before getting interrupted by Edward.

''Was his name specifically mentioned?...'' Asks Edward, only to find the truth written into the headmaster's face. ''... Are you f.u.c.kin' kidding me?''

''It can only be Potter or Longbotem and Nevill is just an idiot?'' Explains Dumbledore disturbed, his beard angrily whipping around.

''Hahaha! Are you really the most powerful wizard in the world?...'' Asks Edward, before noticing the old man's dum face. ''... Let me tell you prophecies are in a eay nasty curses to who ever knows them, because the one having knowledge of their content are destined to be the inevitable cause of the prophecy coming to pass. In your case that leads to you literally making Potter the one mentioned in the prophecy, by simply assuming him to be just that.''

Stammering and still delwelling on Edwards words Albus says. ''I don't understand...''

''You don't have to...'' Comments the former Allfather, before demanding. ''... You just have to answer my questions satisfactorily or else...''

Feeling the immense magical power gather in and around Edward, Dumbledore nods feverishly saying. ''Yes, yes, yes...'' While reaching for his wand. ''... What do you want to know?''

Noticing the old man's actions, Edward asks straight away. ''What do you mean when saying 'for the greater good of the people'?'''

Mid motion, Dumbledore hesitates before saying. ''Once I thought it to be the ultimate justification for us wizards to subjugate the Muggels... Back then, I seeked to overthrow the International Statute of Wizarding Secrecy and establish a regime in which wizards would have been placed above Muggles, for their own good... Back than I had to fight Grindelwald after having seen the error of our way... Now I am fighting Voldemord, who wants to do just the same, only not for the greater good, but just because of bloodline supremacy.''

''Bloodline purity?! What a joke? The first wizards in history where all muggle borne...'' Comments Edward, confirming a long forgotten theory regarding the first wizards. ''... Wizards and Muggles a like, just want to f.u.c.k their relatives and feel good for doing so...''

''An you boy are not any better then them...'' Interrupts him Dumbledire, before explaining. ''... I have seen how Hermione is looking at you and you to her. Don't even try to deny it... Having twin wives will not stop you in the long run.''

Lifting his shoulders Edward says. ''I wouldn't deny, that I have some feelings gor my half sister, but until she has turned sixteen, I will not encourage her feelings. At that age, I am not even entirely sure, that she will not fall for a girl until than...'' Shacking his head, he continues. ''... Now about that Longbotem boy...''
