Overcoming The Beast

Leon flew on his Griffin high in the sky. The Blood Contitnent was very far. He would have to reach the Desert of Desolation, Where the Flamesmith Clan was and then go even further.

On the way he sat and cultivated the Blood God's art with that Blood Harpy egg in his hand. He had formed two thousand one hundred and twenty runes in total. He sat and slowly formed runes on the Griffin.

Leon thought about the Blood Harpy's evolution as he cultivated.

"The Holy fruits I bought are: Holy soul evolution fruit, Peacful Mind fruit, Soothing Soul Flower, Bright Blessing rock and the Holy Sun branch."

"Other then that I bought two blood materials: Refined Blood essence and Soul blood of a Fairy."

"The Council of Fire was holding out on us earlier when I got the Soul evolution fruit." Leon thought. "The peaceful mind fruit is rare as well, it allows beast to stay calm and learn faster. It even has the chance of giving the ability Peaceful mind."

"The other three, are all natural occurring materials in the world that have absorbed holy energy and then formed. They hold a lot of energy, I probably only needed one to complete the evolution but since I could buy all of them, I bought them to make the evolution stronger."

Leon then looked at the egg, "I need to find a good Blood energy source for it to evolve at."

Because of the Blood God's art the Harpy was going to keep the Blood element for sure even after it evolved. He had to strengthen its and his own affinity as it evolved. He planned the Harpy having both Blood and Holy main elements.

Leon had decided when he had contracted the Blood Sparrow and found out about its holy bloodline to go down this route. Unlike the Butterfly which he wanted to transform completely to the Life element he wanted the Harpy to retain the Blood element.

"Holy beasts..." Leon let out as he thought of the path he could have gone. He could have evolved the Blood Harpy completely to a Holy beast. The Holy element was one of the stronger elements, as strong as the evil element and in cases even stronger.

However Leon didn't like the Holy element that much, he had a bad history with it. In his last life he was chased By Holy beasts and Holy cultivators and even almost killed by them multiple times. Other then that Holy beasts would reject his existence because of the Slaughter qi. He was already on the edge making it a main element, if he made it the dominant element he would be more scared of the Blood Harpy, or rather Holy Harpy then the Evil Chimera.

The Pride Beast killing him because it could not live contracted was unlikely compared to the Holy Harpy killing him in the name of justice.

"This why I need the Blood element." Leon said. The Blood God's art was already enough assurance that the Blood element was going to be a main element. A heavenly rank art had much more influence then a few materials. Leon even bought two Blood materials to be sure.

The Refined Blood essence was similar to the Pool of Fire Essence. It was blood essence compressed and purified multiple times. Leon had bought a bottle of it. Other then that he bought soul blood of a Fairy. This blood was to help the Harpy with its Fairy Queen's Blood Spears spell.

As Leon was thinking he heard the Phoenix in the Soul book complaining to Leon for not summing it for so long.

The Chimera on another page was really getting annoyed by this Phoenix. It had long since stoped looking at this Phoenix as something comparable to itself. It only reinforced its pride as it thought it was The Most perfect and fierce beast.

Leon summoned the Soul book. He had not looked through it for a while. The soul book was still at the rare rank. It was about to rank up to unique, it would when Leon broke through to the fifth throne.

Leon flipped to the first page. The Phoenix page could be seen. It had a circle with a golden border. The inside was a nest of Fire. The fire would transform into Phoenix like shapes and fly around then join the best again. The small Phoenix sat snuggly in tbd center sleeping. There was no beast name written for the Phoenix, he would have to level the book up a rank to see its name and species.

The next page was the chimera. The circle had the Golden etchings on the border. The border had turned black. The inside was the chimera sleeping. It was sleeping on a black and white lotus that floated on some type of black liquid. Small similar lotuses floated around. It name was written Evil Chimera (Pride Beast).

After that page was the Cold Mist Ghost Dragon. The circle on this page had a white border with the Golden etchings if that Blood oath art. The inside was just mist with the Dragon's eyes could be seen moving around.

Leon was surprised he still couldn't see the Dragon completely. He had barely seen it as even when it was summoned it was just a collection of mist.

The Dragon's name was also written, Cold Mist Ghost Dragon.

Leon then flipped to the next page. It was the Blood Harpy. It was just a Red egg in a white world. The border was a ruby and also had the Golden etching.

Finally Leon reached the last page. It was the storm Spirit Butterfly. There was a circle with a emerald border. The inside was a beautiful lush garden of blue lighting like flowers. The Butterfly could be seen to move form flower to flower and dancing between the glowing blue lights the flowers released. It's name was written, Storm Spirit Fairy.

Looking at the the Golden etching less border Leon remembered he could from a blood oath with another beast. He decided that he wouldn't form one for now. He had already bonded his life to four beasts, and now with another soul book he would have more choiced then he imagined, so he would have to be picky.

Leon unsummoned the crimson Soul book of Fire and manifested the black and silver soul book of his past life.

He flipped through the first two pages quickly. It was the silver unchanging egg and the now impossible to hatch black egg. The third page held the Griffin.

The circle's border was a florescent blue. The Griffin was paused as it flew through a lighting filled sky. Leon saw that as he started at its eyes he could see a black lined star in them. Leon turned away form the book and looked at the Griffin in front of him. The Griffin turned to look at Leon. Leon saw that it didn't have the star in its eyes.

Back at the Soul book Leon flipped the page. This was the most latest beast he had contracted the Ifrit Beast. The border of the circle was a Black and red. In it was the Ifirt in a fiery sky. The sky was filled with many swords. The Ifrit was jumping from one sword top to another.

Leon closed the Soul book. This soul book was also at the rare rank. It's rank had dropped from what it was in his past life.

The soul book pages of beasts were all the perfect environment for beasts that they thought up for themselves. They were normally changed after an evolution. However they could also change because of a Beasts boredom and to want another place.

The higher rank the Soul book was the better image and place it could form. At higher ranks the Soul book would even list down the species of the beasts and a summary of abilities and attributes.

Leon unsummoned the Soul book. He had gotten used to forming runes and his other hand was doing just that. He had formed around two hundred more runes.

The Phoenix was on his head sleeping and enjoying the wind go through its feathers.

Leon looked around and could see the desert of Desolation was right a head. Sadly he didn't plan on going to the Flamesmith Clan. He had the Griffin speed up.
