Overcoming The Beast

Leon trained the rest of the day. He quickly broke through and reached a bottle neck at the peak of level three.

"Why do I need to purify all my energy to move to the next level? Let's go back shall we. Hopefully we'll make it before the competition.

The boy, snake and tiger ran through the desert. The snake sat on the boy's head and the tiger ran besides him.

The snake reached the edge of Leon's head then moved out till only its tail was stuck to Leon's head using ice. It stared at Leon right in the eyes as he ran. Leon looked like a lantern fish with snake sticking of his head. The tiger saw this thought it was funny but held back its laughter.

Leon looked at it right in the eyes. He noticed its eyes were a black color.

"Hey what species are you?"

The snake shook its head saying it didn't know.

"Youre clearly more talented then this idiotic tiger that can't even use Berserk Flame. The other of its two abilities. You used Frost Ray earlier which is one of the more complex abilities of the Frost snake species."

The tiger was offended by Leon. It then wondered how did Leon know it still hadn't fought a beast until now.

The Frost snake happy by Leon's compliment turns invisible. Then a thin can be seen forming in the sand as it appeared forming around a small rock. It then crushed it and slithered back up Leon's body, onto his head.

"You know strangle and... stealth?"

Leon was surprised by stealth. It wasn't an ability Frost snakes could learn.

Frost snakes are, a three voidstar rank beast, normally light blue scaled and their defining feature is the bright turquoise eyes. They are of the snake and ice beast category of Beast. Most known variations are Red Eyed Frost snake, Black Frost snake and White Frost snake. With each having more talent then the other.

Going through several of his memories Leon finally found what he was looking for.

The species of Ghost Snake, normally also a three voidstar beast, however they have a variation of BlackEyed Ghostly Snake which is a four voidstar beast. BlackEyed Ghostly Snake are born from devolving from a Ghost Dragon making them much stronger from normal snakes.

If I remember correctly Frost Snakes learn these skills naturally: Freezing Bite, Frost Ray, Strangle.

Ghostly snake learn: Ghost form, Possession, Stealth and the BlackEyed Ghostly snake uniquely learns, Death Stare.

"Ghost snakes do learn stealth."

Leon said "You are most likely a hybrid of a Ghostly Dragon and a Frost Dragon. That devolved."

The snake didn't know what to think of that but it then saw the surprise on the tigers face so it nodded in agreement.

"Pretty impressive. Probably the most talented contract beast on this continent right now." The snake acted like it was given.

The tiger looked at the snake with envy. You're the most talented beast in the world while I'm not talented but also stuck with a time bomb. Leon looked at the tiger "Don't worry soon you'll be as talented."

The ground underneath them got up. Leon had already sensed the beast so was ready jumped back. The snake also not surprised stayed stuck on Leon's head. The tiger was terrified and fell off.

In front of Leon was a large spider. Eight Long hairy brown legs with a small body. It was two meters tall and had sharp fangs.

"A redstar soul beast, the BrownWolf Spider. This should be easy. Frost snake finish it quickly. And you, come here."

The tiger ran to Leon while the snake jumped in front.

When Leon had awaken his memories he had stopped using the Slaughter qi as a repellent. He would normally just sense the beast and walk around them. He had sensed this beast top. But wanted to test out the Frost Snakes Fighting ability. He already knew the tiger's from his past life.

The frost snake slithered up to the spider. It then opened its mouth. Ice energy collected and shot out in the form of blur Ray of light. The Ray was aimed right for the spiders head. Which it easily dodged by bending it's legs.

Leon watched from the side and had already took out the throwing knives.

The snake then swiftly bit into the spiders leg causing it freeze. The spider had not really taken the frost snake as its opponent so it hadn't dodged but seeing its leg about to break off. It was enraged. It used its other leg to wipe the snake off.

The snake with its small body was thrown to the ground. Sticky white silk shot out from the spider's abdomen. About to trap the snake but failed as the snake appeared a few meters away. It then disappeared in plain sight and tried to bite the other leg of the spider.

"It knows stealth as well, useful. But it used it to carelessly there is a clear track of its body left in the sand."

Silk shot out trapping it. The snake was then being pulled by the spider through the webbing.

Leon threw three throwing knives. Two cut off the spiders front legs while the third pierced into its head, killing it.

He then went up to the snake and cut off the silk tying it. The snake slithered out and climbed up Leons body and sat on his head.

Leon then went up to the spider and cut it into pieces. In it he didn't find a core but he kept the meat to eat later. The tiger just stood by and watched. It had been impressed by Leon's skill.

"No core. Expected."

He setup camp. "I'm hungry, are you guys?" Both of them nodded.

He grilled the meat of the spider and took a bite. Although it didn't taste great it had much more energy then most of the food he had eaten till now.

"I'll have to kill an orange soul beast if I want to find a ruinic core." Leon thought as he took a another bite of the meet.

He gave the tiger some of the meat and took out a few pieces of NetherWorld ice for the snake to eat.

Seeing the snake eat it Leon was amazed internally. He hadn't focused on this earlier but how high of a resistance does it have to eat it like candy. "Truly a descendent of a Dragon."

Finally they walked the rest of the night and reached the town.
