Overcoming The Beast

Leon didn't have as much control on the Blood Sparrows evolution as he did with the tiger because he didn't form the Blood Oath contract. Now that he had broken through to summoning Scholar he could finally contract another beast.

He had expected to contract the frost snake but changed his plans. He needed to get control of the evolution for the sake of the Blood sparrows future.

He went around the egg and drew the formation. He then dropped his Blood and activated it. Soon he felt connected with the sparrow. He could understand the egg better.

Inside the egg the sparrow's Bloodline was fighting the evil energy inside. It was weak and looked like it was about to lose. The only reason it was able to hold up so far was the amplifying Bloodline rune Leon had given it.

Leon's hand moved crazily. He now had enough soul energy to create basic formations. He created an absorbing formation for himself he then punched into the egg.

His hand sunk in as the Blood Sparrow unconsciously recognized his energy because of the Blood Oath. Leon used the formation to absorb the evil energy. And pulled out as fast as possible. If he took any longer he would ruin the evolution. Leon gave the formation to the tiger and tail beast.

This allowed it to absorb the evil energy faster and stoped it from going towards the Blood Sparrow.

"The Bloodline actually has intelligence." This had surprised Leon, rather then passively fight the Bloodline had awakened and actively fought the evil energy.

He used the last of his remaining soul energy to create a Blood strengthening formation. He then sunk it into the egg. The Bloodline would most likely use the formation to strengthen itself.

Now he had done everything he could. He took out a healing pill and ate it. And silently cultivated until the sparrow hatched.

It took a while but it finally did hatch. The egg broke and a bird more then ten times it's original size appered. It had reached a meter long. With a wing-span of around 3.3 meters. From the size of a head.

Leon didn't look at it he went to the core and resealed it.

"Looks like these chains are just for show, to think they the seal break."

The core healed back to normal. Leon didn't absorb more energy because if he did the island would crash. He still had to find the dream beast.

Leon unsummoned the serpentine tiger. It didnt have any changes.

He then turned to the Bird.

"So how are you?" Leon looked at the Bird it had completely transformed. Not only was it bigger its feathers had all turned crystal ruby like. The Blood Sparrow looked a mixture of elegant and ferocious. The flowers had completely disappeared and so had all the white feathers it had.

The Blood Sparrow responded with a chirp. It said it felt amazing. Showing off its wings and new feathers.

"So you have awakened your Bloodline do you know anything about it?" The ruby feathers were probably because of its bloodline. A Blood Demon Dragon is usually black and dark red.

The sparrow responded with a no. It didn't understand it's bloodline. It didn't get any abilities from its Bloodline either .

It gave a loud chirp and started to look around. It then flew around the room it was still happy as ever.

It finally landed on Lin Feng's shoulder but noticed. That it didn't fit anymore. It grew a bit sad and didn't know what to do.

Leon had long been thinking of how it changed. "It has reached the peak of level one orangestar with a little fighting it'll break into a two orangestar beast. It's potential is around six voidstars."

Leon went for the real question he wanted to ask "did you learn any new abilities"

The bird looked at Leon confused then flew into the air. It's eyes turned completely white. Feathers flew off its body and compiled to form a small serpent like creature, barely a meter long, that shot into the wall in front.

The serpent crashed into it silently, leaving only a small depression but Leon was shocked. He ran up to the wall to check it wasn't an illusion. It was actually there.

"that wasn't a snake it was a wingless Dragon! Did it actually learn Dragon slaying magic?"

He could feel the Dragon aura still on the stone. "That ability would easily be able to kill an orange soul beast, and severely hurt a yellow beast." Although the damage it did to the wall was negligible the wall was made of a special type of stone- Dragon blocking stone. known for being able to capture dragons it. It was so strong almost nothing could damage it.

For some reason he completely forgot about himself making a large dent into the wall.

He then saw the Sparrow fall.

He ran up to it caught it like it was his baby. He held tighter then anything he had ever held before. He could see it had grown weak after using that skill. He quickly poured all the Blood energy in his body. The Blood Bird absorbed it and woke up.

It flew up into the air. It chirped five times and each time a sphere of Blood formed. It then started becoming smaller while the spheres grew bigger absorbing the Blood energy costing its body. Finally it was a bit bigger then before it evolved it chirped once more. The spheres slowly compressed into small dark red balls that flew to the sparrow's head. They levitated above the sparrow's head and combined to form a six pointed crown.

The Sparrow then happily flew down to Leon's shoulder and made itself comfortable. Because of the Blood Oath it felt close to Leon. As if Leon was its family member.

Leon was blown out of his mind. The transformation the Blood Sparrow casually showed was almost to much for him. He was already happy seeing the Dragon slaying magic but now this he was about to break his persona and sing and dance in happiness.

"The blood bird actually formed a Pure Blood Body! I clearly underestimated its talent. A Pure Blood Body is a body type rarely seen in blood beast. It turns their body completely into liquid. Allowing them to easily regenerate and most low level physical attacks to have no effect. Th only down side is that low energy could be fatal as the whole body is made of energy."

"At the peak of the skill I have read legends that you evolve into an undying beast that can regenerate completely even with a drop of Blood!"

Leon who stood their in shock heard a crack snapping him into reality. The chains holding the core broke one after another all snapping like rubber bands.

Leon looked at the small hole the sparrow had created. Inside the whole he saw the hole suddenly grow deeper.

"The sparrow hit the chains in the wall!" Leon shouted.

"If I knew these chains were going to be made out of paper would have been more careful!"

Leon ran out of the room back to the room he entered from he stamped his foot and was brought back to the surface.

"Why do I have to always do everything in a hurry."

Since all the chains broke the core was most likely going to collapse soon. He would have loved to stay and absorb the energy but he still had to find the Dream element beast.

He already knew its general location from the All sensing Formation. Sadly he couldn't use it again as the paper got ruined because of how weak it was.

"I really need to plan more."

Leon didn't stop for anything he just ran. The Blood Sparrow flew off Leon and followed. Leon was already running faster then before because of breakthrough to summoning scholar. He used the Eruption rune to keep on giving him boost in speed.

Bly and a few Bloodling members saw Leon's shadow pass by them. Bly recognised Leon's figure and felt the Bird looked familiar.

He remembered Leon from earlier. Seeing him run reminded him of the stranger that had appeared in the forest.

"Follow that cultivator. That Blood Sparrow is mine!" Bly shouted. Then ran after.

The cultivators around him also ran after Leon. Two of them summoned beasts, a Blood Wolf and A Blood Crane, they jumped on their own beast and went ahead.

Leon sensed the new chasers. From their auras he could tell it was Bly and his helpers. He could feel them catching up so he started running even faster.

Bly shouted "You! stop right now I Bly the inherited of the Bloodling Clan will forgive you if you break the contract with the Blood Sparrow you have. I will even allow you to become an honorary member."

Leon ignored this. He made the Blood sparrow shoot feathers as it flew behind him. He also started forming a sleeping rune in his hand.

The two who were riding their beast caught up to Leon and they attacked. The Blood Crane attacked with feathers like the Blood Sparrow while the wolf shot a beam of Blood from its mouth.

Leon and the sparrow dodged both the attacks. Leon kept running the sparrow responded with a continuous shooting of Blood Feathers.

Far away Bly summoned his soul book. He then summoned his Blood Spirit Fairy which was his beast best at range combat.

He said "Elder Rafeal summon your Blood Pierce Horse and take me with you."

The elder really didn't know what to do. He felt the chase was some bickering between the young ones. When he had become the head elder he thought he had been promoted but rather had been given a glorified title while being demoted to baby sitter.

He summoned his soul book after chanting and then his Blood Pierce Horse.

The horse appeared running out of a vertical summoning circle. It was a Blood red and had a sharp horn on it's head. It was boldly running on the air rather then the ground. The elder grabbed Bly and jumped on the horse.

The horse accelerated forward.

Leon now felt things got serious. He sensed that aura of a strong beast coming at him fast.

A Blood Pierce Horse. A five voidstar beast that us at the yellowstar level.

It didn't take Bly to catch up.

Bly shouted "I'm giving you one last chance to give up the sparrow..."

Before he could finish Leon took out the Fire sealing chain.Leon threw it and tied it around a tree. He used it to turn to the right. He had sensed the dream beast.

In front of him was a black goat with hooves on fire and Stubbs on its head. It had big dark eyes and was barely half a meter long. Behind it was the barrier holding everyone in.

On his left was Orion and his group with their summing beast trying about to attack the goat.

Leon pulled the chain back into his spatial ring and used the eruption rune as strongly as he could. He caught the goat which was unable to react to the sudden change in the situation. Easily put it to sleep using the sleeping rune he had created as it was a redstar beast it couldn't hold any resistance.

Orion shouted "wait you..."

Leon obviously didn't wait. He formed a simple hardness rune. He stamped the rune on as he fell through the barrier. He then entered free fall towards the ground the Blood Sparrow had made it through as well.

Up on the island. Bly and the elder reached the barrier. Bly went to the spot Leon jumped out of he hit tried to jump through but couldn't. He hit it as hard as he could yet it didn't work.

"How did he get through! Elder I thought you said we were completely trapped on the island! How did he get off."

Now the Head elder started feeling nervous earlier they had tested the barrier to see if they could leave. He had used his strongest attack yet it didn't work. Then he had confidently stated no one could leave, now he started sweating.

Orion walked up to the barrier and touched it. "It is hard. That cultivator created some type of rune which he used to break through."

The head elder felt like he found some light in this darkness to save his pride he said "Yes Young Master, that boy most have been a runic cultivator that is why..."

Before he could finish everyone saw Hera put her hand out of the Blood Barrier.

She looked confused "What are you guys talking about you can clearly go out."

Bly and Orion tried again yet they couldn't go through. "Is it only certain people?" Bly said.

From behind them the few Bloodling Clan members who were left behind made it.

They continued to run "Young Master do not worry we'll continue the chase, my Blood eagle may not be good in flying in jungles but an open sky is its domain." The man and the few followers jumped out of the Blood barrier.

Everyone watched in shock. Bly was confused "Why...? how were they able to go through? and why did they not stop?"

The head elder answered "I think they didn't know about the barrier. They didn't understand the voice and joined us after we tested the barrier. I think we can go through by running."

Bly didn't wait he ran back and then ran into the barrier crashing into it. "Elder I think you don't know what you are talking about."

The elder was furious on the outside. Internally he actually had no idea what was happening. He walked up to the barrier and put his hand through. The barrier didn't have any energy in it. He then reached his hand out to the space in front of Bly and Orion.

It was hard. He then remembered the rune Leon had created. Although he was no runic master he knew a few runes. He figured out everything out. He felt so stupid he didn't bother explaining and jumped off the island.

In his head he thought "Young master will kill me if he found out we wasted time on Such a a stupid trick."

He turned to look back to see the island was the same distance from him. He could see that everyone was staring at him as he stood their upside down in the air. The elder knew he was falling so it could only mean one thing.

He shouted "Young Master come with me the island is falling its going to crash on the ground soon."

Everyone soon figured this out they all jumped. As they did this the island started to crack and break into pieces.

The Blood Pierce Horse also jumped off the island with Bly, it then caught the elder. And rode the wind down.
