Overcoming The Beast

Inside the clan hall the elders were alerted by someone leaving.

"Someone left the Clan."

"It should be the thief, I'll go with theses four and while you stay back and continue the inspection In case it's a decoy." The head elder, Rafeal said.

Out of the fifteen elders that were present five summoned thier beast and jumped on them as they chased in the direction Leon escaped.

Like wind they all headed for the city. Each with different beast. The head elder Rafeal had summoned his trusty BloodPierce Horse. Another elder had summoned a DarkWing Eagle. The other three followed with a Bloodtail Wolf, GrassLand Snake and a Majestic Seahorse

They all swiftly moved through the city. The head elder Rafeal with the BloodPierce Horse ran through streets towards the gate of the city. The horse looked like a red light as it galloped in chase of Leon.

The elders with the Dark Wing Eagle and Magestic Seahorse rose to sky. They pursued through the air. The other two elders were behind but tried to keep up.

Leon who had been running felt the soul senses sweep through the city and a few locking on him.

Even if he used Formless aura to remove his presence the elders would still be able to see him running through the city. If he walked they would most likely lock the city down and corner him in. He had to make it out.

Leon took out the Two lives rat he had kept back in his pocket when leaving the ant nest. It stared at Leon wishing he wouldn't say what he was about to say.

"I know you can predict their movement. It won't be had for you to survive just don't get caught or easily." Leon ran formless aura and gave the art his aura. He then erased his own aura as he let the rat run in a random direction.

"This won't fool those old men but their beast..." Leon smirked as he continued running.

Leon was able to confuse the Beast chasing after him. The Blood. Pierce Horse took a sharp turn. Feeling the stronger aura it used the skill Blood Chase. It's speed tripled and it even started to float off the ground. It finally used Its skill that allowed it to fly.

The elder felt something was off and was about to stop the horse. However before he could do anything the horse stamped its front hoove into the ground, causing it to break and reveal the sewer. The breaking of the ground revealing the two lives rat. The horse stared at the rat seeing if it was the target.

"It not the target, go after the real one."

The horse turned to look around and didn't know. Seeing how the horse lost track of the thief the head elder was surprised. He used his soul sense but couldn't find them either."

"Don't stop just run to the gate, I don't think he has a high enough cultivation to jump over the city wall." The horse listened, it jumped back onto the street and ran towards the gate.

The two lives rat wiped the sweat of its brow and ran through the sewers to live its free life.

With all the commotion other beast master living in the city started coming out of their house.

"Hey do you know what's happening?"

A man who was on the roof of the building with glowing eyes responded "The Bloodling Clan's elders are chasing after something. I can't tell what though."

"Should we help? They might owe us a favor because of it."

"No, let's watch for now, we don't know who they are chasing."

Leon had started walking with the elders redirected he had time. He waited until the five soul senses he had felt before steeped through the city to start running again. He had barely ran halfway through the city but he knew the Elders would be soon surrounding him.

He heard a "screeee."

Leon reflexively jumped to an alley next to him. Hidding in the shadow. Above him a Black feathered eagle zoomed pass. It had man sitting on it.

"They changed strategy. Rather then chase just lock in."

He changed goals as well. Rather than trying to leave through the gate he would go to the Flaming Tavern. If he could he would have Pace help him leave using the Flamesmith Clan's power. Although the Flamesmith Clan wasn't powerful Bloodling Clan couldn't go to war with it. They would mostly just check the spatial rings and allow the members to Leave. It would scar future relations.
