Overcoming The Beast

Leon entered the city. He easily passed in. Thunder Lion City was a smaller city on the Lighning continent. It didn't have a ruling clan so was rune through democracy.

Leon found the auction house. It was called the Lighning Steel auction house. Leon entered and walked to the counter. A man sat there stating aimlessly at the ceiling.

Leon asked "When is the auction at the Lighning Steel auction house in Lightning Titan city?"

The man woke up. He had been sleeping with his eyes opened. "The next auction? you should be talking about the yearly auction. It will happen in two days."

Leon just walked out and ran out the city. He summoned the Dragon and had it use Ghost Walk as much as it could. It needed to get to Lighning Titan city before the Lighning Spirit Butterfly egg was auctioned.

It took a day to reach Lighning Titan City. The Dragon was mentally tired. It had used ghost walk so many times it had almost exhausted its infinite energy.

Leon entered the city after paying a visitor toll. He had entered the city. Leon barely had any money on him. He was planning on snatching the egg from the person who bought it.

He spent the rest of the day at an inn. The inn was quite far and in a desolate part of the city as all the good inns had been completely booked.

Leon left for the auction. He entered with the crowd and sat down on one of the normal seats. He hadn't unsummoned the Cold Mist Ghost Dragon. It was following Leon using ghost form.

At the moment it was in the ground under Leoon. It's head through Leon's body.

The Auction started. With dazzle and gleam lightning bolts landed on the stage. A woman with beast like characteristics could be seen on the stage. She had Fox ears and tails. Three fluffy tails swung behind her. She stood tall and said "Welcome to the yearly Lightning steel auction. We have many things today, a few that might be out of your wildest dreams to see in reality. So let us start."

Leon judged her "A higher Beast Clan member. She traveled far to get here. I need to go to the Clan as well. To bad it's on the Holy Continent."

The Higher Beast Clan were an ancient clan. In that past they were called the Beast Slayer Clan. They were however cursed by a strong beast to take on the forms of the things they slayed. Soon they lost there name as the Beast Slayer Clan. It was taken by another clan while they had become the Higher Beast Clan.

It was an interesting history. Unlike beast that may evolve to have human characteristics like the Blood Harpy. The Higher Beast Clan didn't gain any advantage with the features. Some were born with wings but couldn't fly with them.

However they eventually spent there time in repentance and were forgiven by the Beast that cursed them. Although they didn't lose their features, they were born with better affinities and were faster in learning abilities then most humans.

They were also accepted by the Ancient Beast Clan as a side clan. The Ancient Beast Clan was a secret Clan Leon had stolen the Qilin beast from in his past life. The Ancient clan members were all strong beast. Many evolved into human form and joined society. It was impossible to differentiate between them and humans from the outside. They however didn't have soul books, but had insane human strength and abilities.

"First item, a Lightning cloud Fruit. A rare fruit that can evolve low grade Lighning beast. It can even give the Lightning element to other element of beast. But also had the chance of teaching a beast the ability Lighning strike."

Leon was interested, but that was all. He still couldn't have it. He spatial ring had no gold. He could make money easy such as selling the Blood of the Cold Mist Ghost Dragon. Forgetting that it is Dragon Blood, As an origin beast it would allow serpent beast to evolve into dragons similar in species. Making each drop beyond priceless.

The Auction continued more valuable items were auctioned, each put doing the last. Finally the egg was auctioned.

"This egg is of a special beast called the Lighning Spirit Butterfly! It has a potential of five voidstars. What makes this species unique is there ability called Lightning flap. It makes it one of the fastest five voidstar beast ever."

Most people already knew about the Lighning Spirit Butterfly and so didn't need an introduction. Only a few were surprised.

Someone in the VIP seats bidded. The bidding continued as other people bid. Finally. The VIP seat won. Leon had the Dragon check who it was. Leon shared the Dragon's sight using the Blood Oath.

"That should be Hendrick Thunderbird. His son should be Brice Thunderbird, the person who had contracted the Lightning Spirt Butterfly in my past life."

The Auction continued. The Lightning Spirit Butterfly wasn't the big last auction item. No one knew its real value. Until it hatched.

The Auction reached its final item. The Fox lady spoke "Everyone the final item will unveiled. It something so special that it honors me to be the one to present it to you." The item was revealed.

The item was a bone. It was pristine white like any other but had a carving on it.

"This is a bone of a Bluestar level thunder Lion. But what it's real value is the carving on it. The carving is something that the owner and auction house could not decipher other then the first few words."

The lady smiled and said, "Those words were the name of an art called Thunder Titan's heroic art."

The audience head been amazed by the fact the bone was of a Bluestar beast. Now it held an art. Even the most uneducated person in the hall knew that name sounded strong and the art was valuable.

As for the more scholarly people who knew many arts were even more shocked.

Leon was one of thrones people "Thunder Titan's heroic art. An heroic art! Why have i not heard if this in my past life? Heroic arts are one of the strongest arts to exist. The creation of the art was a turning point in history. It was used to win wars or save a population."

Bidding went up fast. Soon someone in the VIP section bought it for twenty million gold. Leon had the Dragon check who it was. It was an old man Leon didn't know of.

Leon had the Dragon return to him. He then left with everyone else but diverged in between and followed Hendrick. Hendrick flew in the sky towards another nearby city run by the ThunderBird Clan. Leon had the Dragon carry him behind.

When they were far enough from the city Leon got ready to attack. Leon's plan was to steal Hendrick's spatial ring. Hendrick was a smoking master. He was much stronger then him. Leon was going to use the Ghost Form as his advantage.

The Dragon used ghost walk to appear behind Hendrick. It then flew came out ghost form chopped off his hand with the spatial ring and entered Ghost Form again.

Hendrick continued to fly, it took him a while to notice his hand was gone. Since the perfect crime had been commuted he couldn't find any clues. He summoned five beast and had them check. But they couldn't find anything either.

Leon had the Dragon move far away. Leon broke the seal on the ring. He took out the egg and Everything else that was useful and threw the spatial ring away. The spatial ring had a tracker on it that was complicated and almost impossible to break quickly. Hendrick had already sensed that spatial ring when they returned to the real Realm. He had used time to break the seal so Hendrick was already on their backs.

Leon and the Dragon entered the other realm and then made of with everything he needed. Hendrick found the ring but seeing he didn't lose much other then the egg. He knew it was someone who had been at the auction, he made his way to the Auction
