Overlord: Blue Citadel Alternate

Chapter 14 - 「ThereBeDragon」

The next morning, Jack opened his eyes partially as he felt something straddling over his c.h.e.s.t. As if they had taken a seat on top of him. He could feel someone's gaze. A blurry combination of white and red could be seen through his eye lashes. Raising a brow, he opened his eyes the rest of the way to find a golden haired dark skinned elf on top of him.

"They're multiplying..." He didn't lift his arms as Ninya's head was resting on one and Zesshi's was resting on the other. He was essentially pinned down with this small elf staring down at him.

She was wearing this devilish grin on her face with an excitedly energetic look in her eye.

"Lord Ainz~" She chimed in a mutedly as she rested her hands on his shoulders as she leaned forward. "He's outwardly conscious now."

"Lord Ainz..." Jack repeated for a moment before his eyes traced on over towards Momonga who was standing there with Nabe. "Oh, the Dark Hero..." Imitating a slight yawn he would smirk a bit. "You took the name of your Guild as your own?"

Momonga just chuckled slightly as the man seemed to realize this since he hadn't really looked into him since his arrival. Though even then, Momon seemed genuinely interested in another player being present. In a way he found that he wasn't alone, there was finally someone to relate to.

The Dark Hero looked over the two women who were on the bed at either side of the player known as Cipher, who often introduced himself with his true first name. "Who's the Elf?"

He knew who Ninya was, but he wasn't sure who Zesshi was. He never met her, never learned about her. While he had come here to give him a quest to find out who took over Shalltear's mind, he was definitely curious about this new face.

"W-w-w-w-ives!?" Aura squeaked as she hugged herself in defense, shrinking to the side before falling over Ninya and plopping onto the floor.

"You're kidding right?" Jack looked over towards Zesshi who was grinning herself. He just let out a sigh of indifference. His eyes went over towards the edge of the bed.

Ninya's eyes popped open the moment the small elf fell over her and she raised her brows as she peered over the edge to look at her. "Uh… What's going on… Again? Who's this?" She pointed down towards the small elf before turning to look at Jack only to see another Elf without pants laying beside him. "Oh...?" A brow raised she shifted her gaze towards the Elf on the floor.

Jack sat up as he was essentially freed from being held down.

Ninya didn't know how to react to this. She woke up to another woman in their bed and a small elf falling over her.

"I'll tell you more later when we're on our way to the Royal Capital," Jack informed her as he pat her on the shoulder before looking over Momon. "State your business, Momon."

Momon looked over the girls for a moment before narrowing his sights on Jack. He wasn't quite sure whether or not he could say anything about Shalltear in front of them, at least not directly.

As Aura jumps to her feet, Jack slides off the bed and stretched slightly, popping his back.

"For Twelve tons of Zolue Solution I'll tell you what you want to know," he stated with his hands folded behind his back with a slight smirk across his lips.

"Why isn't the Vampire in the Land of Karst moving?" He phrased his question carefully, rolling his armored digits against the outer plating of his t.h.i.g.h.

"The Black Scripture, a special operations unit and national secret, of the Slane Theocracy used a world item in order to achieve mind control over the undead… They're a worrisome bunch," Jack stated as he walked over and picked up Ninya's clothes and brought them over to her, before tossing Zesshi her pants. She seemed to still have no control over her legs as he hasn't healed her yet.

"And you know this how?"

"I encountered them near the Forest of Tob last night..." It was a lie, he had encountered them near E-Rantel. Jack would look over towards Zesshi, before glancing back to Momon. "She's a Demi-God."

Momon raised a brow at this as his sights rested on the girl. A demigod? There was such a thing in this world? It sounded interesting, though so far it seemed that these Great Gods were all at one point players that became worshipped as otherworldly beings.

Ninya looked to Zesshi who seemed to be beaming, as if she was being shown off, and raised a brow. This female elf was a descendant of a God? So was he collecting strong women or something?

She didn't appear to be anything like herself. Ninya knew that Jack was initially after her because of her resemblance to his younger sister, or at least her boyish appearance.

Zesshi was cute, attractive even, but most Elves generally were unnaturally attractive. Then there was that glimmer in her eyes that Ninya could see. The want for violence, s.e.x.u.a.l d.e.s.i.r.e, vengeance and the sought after child she wished to create.

Zesshi was a Monster.

"Partner?" The elf seemed to purr as she pulled herself closer to Ninya and that's when Ninya noticed that her legs were limp. As if she had been disabled, yet Jack hadn't healed her or repaired the damage. She wasn't even complaining or showing any sign of pain.

Her eyes drifted to the ear which was pointing out the most, as her hair was tucked behind it.

"Don't look at my ears..." Zesshi snapped suddenly which caused Ninya's eyes to rest on the girl's face. A smile appearing on her face as the nonassertive girl ceased looking at her elven ear.

"Sorry," Ninya muttered quietly before sitting up against the headboard as she was pulling on her pants under the sheets.

Zesshi on the other hand didn't bother putting on the pants. She was more interested in the duo talking as well as Nabe who was watching her sharply as if she was a threat. Next thing she knew there were bags being brought in through a portal that suddenly appeared in the room. Both of the girl's eyes widened as another small elf appeared, a boy in a girl's outfit.

The clothing the two elves were wearing reminded her of the Seventh Seat, the one wearing a school girl outfit with pink rimmed glasses. Were these other people whom were conversing with Jack also Gods? She licked her lips as things were beginning to become a bit more interesting.

As each bag was brought in, Jack would scoop it out of the hands of Mare and Aura and tuck them into the item box of his. Twenty Four Infinite Backpacks of Zolue Solution, each holding five kilograms of the stuff.

"If you'd like to have more of the Solution, just visit Carne Village sometime. The Baleare Family will be experimenting there to make and improve upon current trending potions." Momon said as he avoided saying certain terms like New World, This World, etc.

Nodding lightly to Momonga, Jack tilted his head to the side as he watched Aura glancing over at him. It wasn't that squint she had given him last time, this time it was a curious gaze with a pink tinge to her dark elven skin. She had this wide closed lip smile.

"Thank you for your time," Momon would finally say before turning towards the door.

"Mister Momon!" Ninya called out as she stood up. "We're going to be heading to the Royal Capital later, would you like to join us?"

Jack glanced over at the two before looking to Ninya as she was standing there in b.a.r.e feet. For a second there, he was imagining her without legs again, just floating there rather than standing.

Momon stared at her for a few seconds before nodding, "We can talk about dragons."

Jack frowned at the mention of Dragons, though the simple mention made him want to use the High Dragon cash item he had in his item box. A High Dragon was a rare a.d.u.l.t female dragon, an apex predator, which would follow him.

Ninya smiled awkwardly at the idea of talking about Dragons. The last thing she wanted to do was talk about the Platinum Dragon Lord again. Her eyes drifted towards Jack, seeing he wasn't enthused about it either. She let out a sigh and shrugged, "Some of them don't like players..."

Momon froze the moment she shared that word, Players.

Zesshi also went wide eyed as the word was mentioned and her eyes locked onto the human girl. She wasn't a member of the Theocracy and she knew about them? Her eyes darted over towards Jack.

"Speaking of..." Jack tilted his head to the side, "The Platinum Dragon Lord came across her, the Vampire, and got his armor pretty banged up."

"Calm down Nabe," Momon reached out hesitantly before placing a hand on the Battle Maid's shoulder. "They're not our enemies, but it's good to know who is."

Ninya blinked a few times when his reaction to the word Players was far from indifferent or gone without being understood. Momonga had known what a player was. Then it occurred to her, could he be a player? It made sense since those Dark Elves seemed to be in his service and could access some sort of magical gate like thing she had never seen before in her magic studies.

Her eyes moved to Jack, believing her already knew the moment they met as Momonga knew him by name since the very beginning. Just what was Jack really? Lying about his origins, it seems more was coming to light and the more that was coming to light, the more she was intrigued. However she had to admit, she was hurt by the fact that he didn't just tell her the truth and that Momon had gone along with his lie as Momon was a liar too.

"How about we meet up at another time? We're working an urgent job, and we can't have anymore people in our party, it may cause a problem." Jake informed him before ushering the duo towards the door and letting them out.

Momon and Nabe looked at one another before they began to make their way out of the Inn.

"I'm going to unleash a Dragon on the Capital, make some Chaos, what do you think?"

Ninya's eyes widened at this, as did Zesshi's. How was he going to summon a Dragon? They were a rare species here, was it that easy to just unleash one somehow!?

"Or we could ride it to the Capital..." That idea was rather appealing and definitely one way to show off his prowess over a powerful creature of all things.

Taking out a High Dragon Voucher-like object from his item box, he activated it.

The two girls watched as he started poking at the screen from the other side of the room. They weren't entirely sure what he was doing, but Ninya at least knew that it was an interface of some kind.

Working on the humanoid appearance first, he'd make her at least five foot seven inches with a slender-androgynous frame with small b.r.e.a.s.ts. Her skin was a pale glistening peach with gentle patches of dermal highlights. Curves didn't necessarily matter to him. He continued to give her delicate facial features along with subtle patches of skin-tone dragon scales on her neck and pelvis.

He gave her jaw length greenish white hair with green horns sticking out of her head pointing behind her. She had small pointed ears and the ability to sprout jade colored wings. Her eyes matched the color of her wings and horns.

She was beginning to look like an expensive doll for a fantasy line of collector's edition figurines.

By the time he was done with her humanoid form, she looked to be someone who was between eighteen and twenty two. He started on the Dragon form. He chose a floor legged High Dragon with excellent jade colored scales with aquatic blue runic patterns.

When it was time to choose her various job classes, he chose a handful of magic jobs and various others which he had unlocked while playing YGGDRASIL and leveled her accordingly as a level one hundred High Dragon Guardian.

Glancing up as the personality algorithm screen appeared, his eyes rested on the two women on the bed. Now what was he going to have this Dragon be like… He was feeling a bit awkward with their gazes on him. Maybe he shouldn't have said anything about bringing a dragon.

So he began typing away, giving her the everso artistic name of Yuno. Her primary personality trait being that she was a kūdere, an individual who is outwardly emotionless, cold and cynical; while inwardly they are truly caring towards the ones who win their heart. He made her curious, compassionate and a capable killer, but she was also someone who would generously heal others for very little cost. She was to have a crush on him, to want to protect all those considered his friends. Oddly enough he even added the idea of her liking cute things to excess.

"It kinda looks like he's painting something..." Zesshi stared for a good few minutes before suddenly there was a bright light which hastily overtook the room, forcing all those present to shield their eyes.
