Prestige System To Rule Over All

Chapter 3 - Prologue: Part 3 Perks

{Now that I believe that I have explained what is to be expected from you, why don't we start by letting you choose your and your helper's perks and both your background, your bodies, and your stats.}

After the figure finished speaking, a white transparent square that is 15 cm x 15 cm appeared in front of Reeh. It was thinner than a sheet of paper and there were words written on it.

{That is the system panel and those words written on it are the perks that you could choose from. Since this is the 1st Test, you could choose 3 perks for yourself and another 3 for your helper. That means that you would have 6 perks in total since whatever your helper learns and obtain will be yours, while your helper stays the same with 3 perks.}

After listening to what the figure said, Reeh looked at the panel and focused on what were on it. He observed that they were highlighted with different colors.

"Excuse me, but why are they in different colors?" Reeh asked the figure with curiosity.

{They are in different colors because there are some that are exclusive to one test. For example, Red Perks could only be used on the first test, Orange for second, Green for third, Blue for fourth, Violet for fifth, and Black could be used in any of the test. They were put there in those colors randomly so choose wisely. Just because they are labeled as exclusive, doesn't mean that they would help you with what you want.}

Reeh looked again at the panel but this time he focused on the Perks that were highlighted Red and Black.

In the Red section, he noticed perks that were always featured in fantasy novels, cartoons, and movies. But he was disappointed because they were perks that didn't resonated with him such as invisibility, flying, and Super Genius. These did not interest him because of the description of the Perks.

For [Invisibility], it said that he would be invisible all the time, and it means ALL the time. Why would he choose that? He was given a chance to live a better life but then he would be invisible to everyone. Reeh didn't want to live like air.

[Flying] was just disappointing. It said that Reeh could fly, which excited Reeh, but then it stated that he could only fly at a maximum velocity of 10 miles per hour(about 16 kilometers per hour). He first thought that with this perk he would be able to arrive earlier than taking a car to drive, but even if he takes a shortcut, it would only result to about the same amount of time or even less than a car that would be on the road and going along with the speed limit. So Reeh didn't hesitate to move on.

[Super Genius] was just as described, Reeh would become a super genius. Reeh wants to be at the top and accomplished but that didn't mean that he would put his time of living his best life aside just to live most of it in a research lab because humanity would use his intelligence as an excuse for their own advancement. And if he refuses, he would be shamed and belittled, Reeh is confident of that. So he didn't choose it

Since the Red Section had perks that Reeh didn't want, he turned to the Black Section and he was elated. The Black Section had perks that he always wished and imagined that he could have, and now he could actually have them for himself. He saw things such as Telepathy, Telekinesis, Future Sight, Auras, Time Control and many more.

Reeh took his time to look over the choices and he finally decided on what to choose.

In the end, he made his helper have the Perks: [Bane of Heaven-Tower of Babel] [Transfiguration] and [Cloning]. Reeh chose these for his helper and himself because what better way to connect than language. He also thought that he would be able to have a loyal army (of employees) through cloning themselves and then transfiguring them into different people.

For himself, Reeh chose the Perks: [Time Control] [Telekinesis] and [Fast Learner]. He felt that having these will make his life easier. And by having cloning along with his fast learner will allow Reeh to learn as much as he wants without expending his own time.

Okay, Perks: check. Next, Body, stats, and background

------------

Reeh's Perks for the 'First Test':

[Bane of Heaven-Tower of Babel]: One will be able to speak and understand a whole language after hearing a word of the language and understanding it. Note: One could also read and understand 10 words of the language to learn the whole language. (Author's Note: And of course it would be written in English because that's what I'm proficient in. Although it's not my first language, it's easier for me to write in English than my first language for the reason that I believe is due to exposure.)

[Transfiguration]: One can change anything into something else, it all depends on One's imagination. Note: Sometimes, less is better.

[Cloning]: One can make as much clone that One wants. The clones will disappear after they get killed. The Base (the one that made the clones) would recieve the information that the clones learned anytime or constantly by synching the brainwaves. The clones will not have any of the perks and skills of the Base, only the Base's body and initial intelligence (Base-ically, One's capability to process knowledge obtained before he obtained the perk). Base could manually control the clones or have them automatically function by giving them commands. With automatic, Clone will personally act on what it thinks is the correct way to accomplish the command which could be different than the Base's d.e.s.i.r.ed process and outcome.

Note: Suggested amount of clones made in one day: 1

[Time Control]: One can slow down time for up to 5 times and speed it up to 2 times. Any more than that will strain One's mind and might cause permanent brain damage. Note: Remember, the Tortoise won against the Hare.

[Telekinesis]: One is able to move anything with his mind. Note: one of the perks that could be improve through practice and constant use.

[Fast Learner]: One could learn things by only being exposed to it 1 or 2 times. Note: One actually have to be focused for the information to be retained with only 1 or 2 exposures.
