Sivan opened his eyes groggily and looked around, not understanding what is happening to him.

He wanted to move hair off of his eyes, but he couldn't move his arms. Suddenly, the realization of what happened to him, dawned on him as he jerked and tried to get up.

But he was completely tied up with all kinds of restrictions.

"What the fuck?"

He cursed and looked around. He is in a completely dark and empty room. In fact, there is nothing in the room except for the stone chair he is sitting on. At this moment, the door opened up and the darkness in the room was partially gone.

Sivan looked at the person entering the door with a tense mind and relaxed a bit when he saw the clan's leader.

"What is happening here? Why am I held like this?"

"To remind you of your place. I have been watching for the past few days. You didn't seem to have noticed this, but you are getting really cocky will of your demands. What would happen, if I took a docile and proper young man and forcefully let him take your body?

I think I will have a much easier time dealing with him than you."

"Hmph, do you really think it is that easy? There is not a single person in my cultivation who can match my mental energy. It would be an impossible task."

"You are pretty confident about yourself. If only I could confirm your words by trying.

But I don't have the liberty to do that right now. I have someone that wants to talk to you. Be obedient and talk to them with respect. Alright?"

Sivan didn't reply, but the clan's leader didn't really care that much.

The light in the room was turned on immediately and through the door, Godfather and his son came in.

"Sivan, meet the head of the Divine league. He is called the Godfather and this is his son and the right-hand man in the Divine league, Mornd."

Sivan looked at both of them with a frown.

The old man, godfather took a turn around Sivan and started observing him keenly. He even touched him a few times to get a better look.

"Indeed. If the body is not this good, it isn't worth stealing. I am talking about myself of course. With your previous cripple history, I can understand why you would want a body. But you picked the best one you could get your hands on.

Congratulations."

"Thank you."

"Now, that we got that out our way, let's talk business.

I heard that you got a set of memories from Sam's soul. I want to learn about the formations he came up with at Gaja clan."

"I cannot help you there."

"Sivan, he is polite in asking you. That doesn't mean, you have a right to reject him." The clan's leader spoke up.

"Don't scare him. Let him talk."

The old man said casually before asking.

"Why can't you help me?"

"Because I will not be able to find out what and how he made those means or whatever you call them. I might have gained his memories, but the theories he already had in his brain before I took his soul are way too hard for me to even comprehend.

It would take a lifetime just for me to make sense of any of it. As for my understanding and decoding of what he recently made? That is impossible."

"Really?"

"Come on, he is not that dumb. In fact, that bastard is way too smart for his own good. He is definitely not going to use something that is already within his head before he met me. He would have thought of a completely new annoying thing out of nowhere."

"That makes sense. But you are the one that understands him best at the moment. Are we on the same page here?"

"Yes, we are."

"Okay, then. Your clan leader said that you have a plan to attack the Gaja clan. I want to hear about it."

Sivan frowned and looked at the clan leader. The latter nodded.

Only then did Sivan start speaking. He might hate the clan's leader to guts, but this is related to the Mari clan, the clan of which he is going to be the future head, he is definitely not going to let some differences come in between him and the clan's leader when the situation is serious.

After explaining the plan, the godfather nodded.

"Even though you said, you cannot do much against those new formations and stuff, I still want you to take a look. I need you to think of a way to destroy them all with minimum casualties."

"I said, I cannot. I am not that smart."

"This is not a request young man. You better…"

*BAM*

Before he could finish his words, a guard came crashing into the room as Sin walked in. His aura is a bit chaotic as he looked at the Godfather, Mornd and the clan's leader.

"It seems like you completely forgot who I am since I am not being that active." He said as he walked toward the clan's leader slowly.

The clan's leader felt coldness gripping his heart. He didn't expect that Sin would be here and he would even know about this meeting.

"How fucking dare you? You dared to bring my son here. I wonder what you will be doing next."

Sin muttered as he pressed forward with his energy pressing on the clan's leader.

Mornd who is standing on the side frowned and said.

"Sin…"

"Shut the fuck up." He was cut off and Sin removed Sivan's shackles.

"Are you alright?"

But Sivan just brushed off his arm and turned to the Godfather.

"I want this partnership to go on. We will be defeating the Gaja clan together. But the clause would be that, no matter what happens, Sam is not going to survive. You can take his soul if you want and gain his technology, but I am the only one who gets to kill him.

If you agree to that, send your people. I am more than willing to work with you."

Sin frowned as he looked at his son. He then looked at Mornd and then at the Godfather.

They also looked at him. They could clearly sense the killing intent coming out of him.

"What Sin? You want to go?" Mornd asked.

"You are speaking as if you would dare."

Sin said as he walked close to him. Mornd looked at Sin in the eyes but soon couldn't meet his gaze. He felt oppressed, weak and powerless for a moment.

He gritted his teeth and shook his head to get out of the trance.

"Let's go Mornd. Our work is done here." The Godfather spoke as he ignored Sin completely.

Mornd went past Sin and walked towards the door.

"Clan's leader. I will be staying in touch with you. You better remember the deal properly and don't try to play the usual Mari clan tricks on me."

With that, they left.

Sivan was let go and he went back to his own residence.

"What the hell is wrong with you Sivan? You are cooperating with Divine league now?"

Sin asked as soon as he entered the room.

"What? I can't cooperate with the Divine league? While you can act all chummy with an enemy clan member?"

Sin frowned and said.

"Divine league is something that you shouldn't be mingling with."

"I don't care what you think. You lost the opportunity to lecture me about these things when I was a kid. You are not going to get it back now, just because you want to.

I am cooperating with the Divine league no matter what you say.

I don't care what you think of them.

I don't care if you want to whisper this information into your friends' ears so that the stupid Gaja clan can be saved.

But in two months, I will be going against the Gaja clan with all of my strength and I will kill that bastard Sam and the rest of the Gaja clan for trying to protect him."

With those words, he left.

Sin's energy riled up. He has an urge to grab his son and smack some sense into it, but he couldn't bring himself to do that now. It is already too late to do that now.

"I don't know why you were so obsessed with this situation. I am telling you, this is not going to end well. There is a reason why I don't participate in the disputes between the Gaja clan and the Mari clan.

It is nonsensical to get in between.

If you really want to kill Sam, find another way. Using the hatred between these two clans will only end up triggering something really big that is going to blow up on a massive scale."

"I don't care."

"Your wish then."

Sin left the room.

The next day. Afternoon. Gail got a letter and brought it to Sam.

"Divine league and Mari clan. Two months. Let's see how things go then."

Sam said with a smile as he looked at Gail.
