These bird puppets are similar to the ones distributed to the rest of the people.

However, these are of higher hardware, quality and configurations. They are made to build and repair other things. The moment the turret was destroyed, the birds flew there and started repair it at a visible pace.

Within three seconds the turret was reinstalled.

As for the self-regeneration of the equipment? It still works, but it is way too slow to use in such a heated moment.

The attacks resumed and the cavalry was bombarded. When one of the centaurs hit the bird puppets out of frustration, the puppets' bodies collapsed and a small rock was launched out of those collapsed bodies.

It had a homing function and it was locked on the attacker who did it.

At that moment, it destroyed itself with an explosion similar to the destabilization of a Divine Plane cultivator's whole Divine Plane energy.

*BOOM*

Of course, the target of those small rockets is obvious for anyone. The centaurs.

The outer dome of the formation started fluctuating soon. The laser beams are not stopping. All aimed at the centaurs, the intruders that dared to take the live of the Hub's employee.

The people outside who had their eyes fixed on the blurry dome started having a faint inkling of what is happening inside. They could feel the explosion from every direction.

Fifteen minutes passed.

Several turrets were destroyed. Several guns were broken. Even a couple of spheres hovering the sky were also taken down. But right now Centaurs became frail.

The attacks was almost over. Icarus finally stepped out of his room. All the centaurs are sprawled on the ground. He walked to the nearest one and checked their breath. They are about to die. He wanted to end their agony witha single move and they will be severed from any relationship they had with the hub.

"No, don't kill them. Why do you think the hub stopped attacking?"

All of a sudden, Philip's words were heard through the wrist band.

Icarus was surprised, but he nodded. "Can you sedate them?"

He asked the Hub. He was unsure if it would work, but the Hub replied through a text in his wrist band.

Soon, the sedation was done. Dozens of Centaurs were confined in Divine Dimension fragments without their will and were brought into the Hub.

The dome formation was disabled. The bird puppets moved around and started repairing the path, garden and the walls.

Soon, the hub looked like it was never even attacked.

Christos who was watching this was stunned.

The city that looked vibrant and lively is now looking a lot like an abandoned ruin.

The streets were deserted and the city is surrounded by beasts from all sides. Just like the scout captain predicted, the pack of Yena made the whole forest move. The beasts couldn't take it anymore and ran for their lives.

And to their dismay many of those beasts are infected. Only then did people realize that the disease that was given by these Yena can be transmitted through physical contact. This made the whole situation worse.

The soldiers that went to fight these beasts all got infected and brought the disease back into the city. And then another realization dawned on them. The cultivators and mostly humans are extremely weak and strong against this disease at the same time.

It is indeed a weird concept.

But here is how it worked.

The cultivators are weak in a sense that the symptoms are working way harsher on them than on the beasts.

The loss of hair, loss of strength in bone and muscle, etc.

But they are not dying like the beasts did. For some reason, their immunity system albeit unable to deal with the symptoms worked great in keeping them alive.

However, that wasn't a good news for a lot of them. Because they were left vulnerable. Many people that ran like tyrants in this city are now bedridden. Since the young master who ruled the city the city is such an incompetent man, it wouldn't be an exaggeration to say, it is one of the most corrupt places there is.

And that corruption of course led to a lot of oppression towards the weak in the society.

So, now that the strong are vulnerable, the weak bared their fangs.

Assassinations, robberies, raping, looting. The crimes increased overnight. And among all of these activities, there is one common point in most.

A disposable weapon.

A handgun.

Even Sam didn't think such a coincidence would occur. Just like many other Thalassa territories, handguns are being sold in this city as well.

However, the business wasn't that good because the class difference between the oppressors and oppressed is way too high. The only business that happened here is from the outsiders.

But this sudden change brought a shift to that. The only the people who sold realized the reason behind the previous lack of sales.

The power difference between the strong and weak, made the weak so afraid to even fight back. They just couldn't even bring themselves to fight as they became way too worried about possible retaliation with increased force.

But now that the other parties weakened, the weaker ones bought guns like crazy. Ninety percent of the new found crimes in the city involved guns.

The young master and the scout captain couldn't care less about this. They don't care about the lives in a general sense, but right now they could have used those forces.

In fact, they did have the mind to convince these sick and vulnerable to launch suicide attacks on the beast tide.

That was their main concern and now they are dying like flies. They went on to search for the person who was selling the guns after learning about their usage.
