Re: Life In One Piece

Chapter 1 - Prologue

Romance in today's world was very different from what it used to be. Most couples no longer met each other face to face. Instead, they met on online in places like Tinder, Snapchat, and Facebook.

Was this a bad thing? Well, it didn't matter to me. A man's got to do what a man's gotto do.

And that's to relieve himself however he can…

Swipe-Swipe-

In my bedroom, late around midnight, I was swiping left and right in one of the dating apps on my phone. After some time, the fatigue from my job hit me and forced me to doze off.

However, -Twink- a notification for a match appeared on my dating profile.

Without delay, I narrowed my eyes on the phone screen once again.

"Her name's Isekai Kami…? Is she Japanese? She's hot for sure though!"

I began to think of what to message her, formulating the perfect opening message in my head.

Buzz…!

Right then, a message came from the woman that made me raise my eyebrows in surprise. Women initiating the conversation first, especially hot women, was kind of rare in most cases.

[Hi, Magnus! Through a lucky draw from millions of profiles across the world, you've been selected for reincarnation.]

"Huh, what…?"

I rubbed my chin and began to think what she meant. Maybe her English was just poor, and this was her way of saying that she liked my profile.

You may call me optimistic if nothing else…

Type-Type-, I sent a simple message which read: [Thank you. Your profile's very intriguing too!]

Beep…!

Another message immediately returned from the other side.

[Would you please provide your consent to see the world of One Piece?]

'I don't know what she meant… but I would sure like to see her in a "One Piece",' I thought to myself.

[Yeah, sure I guess… but I like to get to know people first ;)]

I waited patiently for another five minutes but no reply came. With no other choice, I declared her a catfish and decided to fall asleep.

… Little did I know that this was maybe the last time I'll wake up in this world.

Zzzz…

Zzzz…

Soon a white light enveloped me and took me away from this world.

Inside a large laboratory in the North Blue Sea….

Containers with live specimens, unique chemicals, microscopes, and dissection equipment were placed all around the room. In addition, there was a large capsule in the middle of the lab.

Currently, two people had focused their gaze on the large capsule.

One of them was a large man with long golden hair which reached his waist. He had a long thin black mustache and a small beard. The man was wearing a gray robe with the number "66" on it.

This was Vinsmoke Judge, also known as Garuda and the king of the Germa kingdom.

"So, you're saying this specimen somehow survived the incubation period?"

Vinsmoke Judge's eyes were fixed at the capsule at the center of the lab.

The capsule was filled with a liquid fluid with a small baby inside it. There were also multiple metal tubes attached to the baby's body.

"Mhm, yes. He truly has the will to survive… He was just one in a thousand clone sacrifices we breeded to experiment the lineage factor."

Next to Vinsmoke, there was old man wearing a lab coat and holding onto a notepad.

Soon the old man adjusted his spectacles and continued, "While it's miracle this clone somehow survived without adequate resources, his genetics are still much below what we have prepared for the princes… Do you want to use him?"

Vinsmoke Judge stayed quiet in thought for a few long moments. Then, he turned his glance to the old man and answered, "He still has the genes for complete obedience in him. He can be a good soldier… or at worst, we'll discard him if he's useless later... For now, continue his incubation until he's ready."

"Yes, General!"

The old scientist bowed to Vinsmoke Judge and began to write something in his notepad.

Vinsmoke Judge's eyes lingered at the capsule for one last time -Step-Step- before he took strides towards the exit.

After an unknown amount of time passed….

I opened my eyes once again to see my body of a 4-5-year-old boy.

I was lying alone on a bed, alone, in a small room with white walls. There were tones of medical equipment placed around me with nothing much else in sight… except for a few weird snails with equipment attached to them.

"Huh… What the f.u.c.k?!"

I blurted out, still doubting the absurdity of the situation. No matter how hard I tried to 'wake up,' I couldn't ignore the life like feeling of the humidity in the air, and the feeling of my short-stubby limbs.

"No way! Is this reincarnation or something?" I smiled bitterly to myself.

Thuk, Thuk- Soon I could hear footsteps approach my room.

Creak… In a moment, an old man with droopy appearance and a grey bowl hair cut walked into my room. He was wearing a white lab coat with a black stethoscope with him.

Presently, his eyes were narrowed at me. He seemed to be examining me closely in complete concentration.

"Welcome to this world, clone 0354. Your genes must be installed with the language program… So, do you understand me then?" The old man said, his voice calm and clear.

'Clone? What the hell is this sci-fi world?'

My mind went through a large amount of emotions right then. But for the sake of my safety in this unknown world, all I did was nod and go with the flow.

"Okay, I'll perform a few more tests now before you're ready to leave."

The old man grabbed a nearby needle and pricked it into my arm, drawing blood from me without my consent.

Away from the view of this old man, an ugly grimace had formed on my face. Although I absolutely hated medical tests, I wasn't too sure I could refuse this old man so readily.

"Sigh… Just where exactly am I?" I muttered, my voice soft and gloomy.

The test continued for a few more hours, after which the old man began to guide me to another place.

In time, I was taken out into an open field that seemed to be some kind of floating platform.

I could see structures that resembled castles; every structure was a tower, a turret a keep, or a complete castle. They were all topped with curving conical spires and had a brick-based appearance. There were also many flags with the number "66" and "Germa Kingdom" written all over them.

At this point, it couldn't be clearer…

"I am in the One Piece world!" I screamed with excitement and madness.
