Chapter 4 - World's Distortion

"Ohohoho what will you do? Hug me to death?" Nero asked in a teasing voice.

"You shall see, in a few seconds" said the cat as it created 8 ice spears out of nowhere.

"Ugh no chanting.. That might actually hurt" said Nero with a smile on his face."

"Oi oi Nero san. We better run from this thing. In our world there isn't magic at all.. This is too dangerous." Said subaru in a worried voice

"It looks like I guessed right about your identity from the start hehe" said Nero as he kicked 2 ice spears away from him.

"Hmm different world? What nonsense are you speaking humans?!"

the cat said as it sent more ice spears after Nero.

"It's quite difficult to fight like this.. At least tell me your name and race." Nero said with an obvious irritation in his voice

"The names Puck. Although, it doesn't really matter since you will face death in a few minutes. I am a contract spirit. I was contracted to Lia, the girl you just heavily injured. Said Puck full of anger

" Why don't you heal her? Don't you have something like that?" smiled Nero.

"Hahah I would if I could kid, I don't know what kind of demonic arts you mastered, but not only did you almost kill her with one kick, you also send some kind of evil energy into her preventing me from healing her or even so much as touching her or else I might get infected too." Said Puck sadly.

"My name is Nero and my temper is short, I couldn't listen to her nonsense about us, being the thiefs. Also, my kick was pretty light so she shouldn't have been injured that badly.. But ey, I guess that she was just too weak haha" laughed nero.

"Yo-You ALRIGHT ITS BEEN DECIDED. THIS WORLD IS ABOUT TO BE DESTROYED BY ME THE ANC-"

"Wait puck "cough" "cough" don't do it.. " using her last strength Lia tried to persuade Puck.

" Lia.. Eh human what are yo-"

"Are you alright?" subaru said in a worried voice.

He gave her a l.a.p pilow. And tried to stabilize her body so that she wouldn't have any more inner injuries.

"No Subaru you idiot don't touch her!" shouted Nero

The 8 Curse Kicks Of Eden

When I was young, I was practicing taekwondo. But, I got to the point where I can kick so strong, that I can create a severe side effects to the enemy.

I named them Curse Kicks.

So far I know 8 Curse Kicks.

And this one is specifically called The Curse Of Bohemians - side effects are -

Heavy internal bleeding to the point of almost instant death depending on how strong I kick someone.

Also, if someone touches the victim of Bohemians curse... They will become a victim as well.

The curse will crawl out of the victims body like a parasite, and as long as you are touching directly. It will get into you and you will start bleeding as well.

"Too late, at least I will witness the process" said Puck in a monotone voice.

Red web strings came out of Lias mouth and crawled onto subaru's body.

It was like out of some horror movie. Subaru couldn't move out of fear and the webs crawled inside of his mouth.

Silence lasted for a few seconds before he felt an abrupt pain somewhere around his neck. It continued down into his stomach. It was eating him alive along the way.

"ARGHH"

"WHAT A PAIN... DID SHE REALLY HAVE TO GO THROUGH THIS MUCH PAIN.. THIS IS INSANE"

Subaru screamed hysterically

"Haah.... Actually, this curse is a lot weaker than the first one... Since it just crawled out of her body it's a bit weak.. But anyway. I am sorry that this happened to you Subaru.. I will bury you properly since it's my fault you got caught into this. Said Nero sadly.

"I see.. It's weaker. So, maybe I can still save Lia" said Puck full of hope.

"I wouldn't do that if I were you. Like I said, even if it's a weaker version it will still kill you.. That's why I just said goodbye to Subaru." said Nero

Subaru was lying on the floor twitching now and then.

It must have hurt a lot.

"Don't you have any way to save him and lia? Said Puck

"There is none, they are done for."

There is nothing I can do, I am only a human." said Nero.

Puck quickly caught onto that and said "Does that mean that I can save her?"

"I don't know how strong your heal is.. So I can't tell.. Also... This was the first time I've ever seen magic, however I have an acquaintance that is supposedly the strongest healer from this country." said Nero

Puck - pov

"Ferris huh.."

We can't afford to owe someone from the opposing candidates or we will be used.

And there is no guarantee that they will help us. They might want something from us and by the time they agree to the healing, Lia will be dead. But it's our only chance.

This guy is a monster and there is no guarantee that he will let us go, but I need to try and escape.

I form a flying ice bed and carefully put Lia on top of it.

"We will retreat. I will try to talk with Ferris."

Nero-pov

"Hah? Do you think that I will let you go?" Sneered Nero.

Puck was nervously fidgeting at the though of Lia dying, so he pleaded Nero for mercy.

"Please I don't have much time.. Just let me save Lia and I will give you a rare treasure"

"A rare treasure? What does it do" asked Nero.

Puck frowned as he said "The ornament of the beasts. It's basically a magnet for monsters."

"Well, Isn't that just asking me to get killed?" smiled Nero.

"No actually, it definitely is worth much, you can either sell it or use it. With a good strategy you could kill many beast monsters and sell their hides, fangs and crystals." said Puck

"I see.. Interesting.. Give it to me and you can go" said Nero.

Puck hesitated for a bit, before throwing the ornament to Nero.

Killing intent surged out of Puck as he slowly said.

"Do as you like human, however, I am warning you, don't use it for anything wicked or else I will hunt you down."

"Daamn chill kitty cat. That's some intent you've got there. How many did you kill? A thousand?" smiled Nero.

"This ornament was given to me, to protect someone, I only gave it away since it's useless for me and I need to save Lia. Farewell human, I hope that we will never cross paths again." said Puck.

"Alright alright.. Go"

As Puck left I looked at subaru still twitching on the floor.

I crouched down and whispered into his ear.

"Subaru, can you hear me?"

No response.

"Subaru, i am sorry"

Still nothing.

"You did it, she will live. All thanks to you placing her body in a good position.They will make it to healer in time. " said Nero

With the last bit of his strength subaru showed him a thumbs up before passing away.

"Alright, I should get going now."

All of a sudden, the world twists and my vision turns black.

Shit, did someone attack me out of nowhere?
