This chapter is written before Jingshu was reborn, which is the first chapter of the continuation of the article. Li Ling returned from the expedition and what happened after the couple quarreled.

Li Ling saw that his usually docile little wife became abnormally angry. He stood there stunned for a while, then turned around and left the house.

He opened the door and was shocked by the sight in front of him.

Li Ling was sitting on the steps of the corridor of the hall. He held his head with one hand and closed his eyes. When he heard the noise, he immediately became energetic and almost jumped up from the ground.

 “Why are you here?”

Jingshu asked, glancing at the dew on his clothes and the darkness under his eyes, she was surprised: "Did you sit here all night?"

Li Ling neither admitted nor denied. He looked at his wife and asked, "Can I go in?"

This man was really horribly cold, but his behavior of sitting here stupidly all night still moved Jing Shu a little.

"This is your house, why do you ask me?" Jing Shu said with a dull face, then turned aside to make way for him.

Li Ling raised his eyes and glanced at his wife, then walked into the house.

Jingshu followed in and couldn't help but ask: "Why are you sleeping outside?"

"Didn't you drive me out?" He looked at her with open eyes and his tone of voice was calm.

Jingshu was so angry that she was speechless.

“It’s still early, please go to bed and sleep for a while.”

 After saying this with a dull face, she turned around to go out, but the moment she turned around, her hand was held tightly by Li Ling.

He was very strong, and without any effort he pulled the struggling little wife into his arms. He held her slender waist, looked at her and said: "I know that the child is gone, you are in a bad mood, you take it out on me, I wouldn’t blame you either.”

He actually thought that her actions yesterday were just to take out her temper on him.

Jingshu tried to break away from his grasp, but she was still held tightly in his arms after using her strength several times.

“You still care about our children.”

 After a long time, she couldn't help but shed tears and complained with choked sobs.

Seeing her crying, Li Ling immediately panicked and loosened the hand holding her. Jingshu broke away from him and turned to the inner room.

 After a while, Li Ling also came in. He stood in front of her, but Jing Shu turned away, refusing to give him a good look.

“I asked the doctor that your miscarriage is a bit strange. Don’t worry, I will find out the truth. If someone recklessly harms our child, I will definitely make him pay a heavy price.”

Ever since the miscarriage, Jingshu only cared about her grief, but she did not expect that her child would be harmed.

"I know you have suffered this time. If you don't want to have any more children for me in the future, I don't have a problem with it. Let's just adopt one from the clan." Li Ling said.

Li Ling is the heir apparent to the Duke, so he should value his heirs the most.

His words surprised Jing Shu.

She slowly turned her head, her face still cold, and she lowered her eyes and said, "I really don't want to work hard to give birth anymore, but I can't make you so tired that I have to marry you, so I might as well just take a concubine. Maybe, If you have a noble woman you like, I don't mind if you take her as your equal wife." What she said was to test him, and it was also a last chance for each other. If Li Ling agreed, then why would she still want to do it? Just make a clean break with him and divorce him. If he can really be responsible, then this life will not be impossible.

He listened to her words and was silent for a long time. Jingshu glanced at his cold face and couldn't help but said again: "Don't worry, I will tell my grandmother and mother about this. Li Ling still didn’t speak.

 “You agreed?” Jingshu asked again.

This time, Li Ling smiled.

He rarely smiles, and when he laughs suddenly, it makes people feel a little panicked.

"You and I have been married for several years. I never imagined that you would look at me like this." He said this calmly, with unconcealable disappointment in his tone.

 He refused.

Jingshu felt a little comforted in her heart, but it still didn't show on her face. She was about to open her mouth to test again, but saw Li Ling's face darken.

Although he doesn't like to laugh, he never gets angry with her. This is the first time that he has done this today.

Jingshu didn’t dare to test it any more and simply shut her mouth.

Neither of them spoke, and the room fell into an awkward silence. For a long time, it was Li Ling who finally broke the deadlock.

He put his arms around her again, softened his expression, and sighed: "I know you are sad because the child is gone, that's why you don't believe me, and I won't be angry with you."

Li Ling was indeed not a man who was good at understanding women's thoughts, but after hearing these words, Jingshu couldn't help but feel warm in her heart. She leaned in his arms for a while, then got up and made the bed, and then made the bed herself. He took off his clothes that were wet with dew and said, "Husband, please sleep for a while."

He got into bed obediently. Just as she was about to turn around, he reached out and held her: "It's still early, so you can sleep with me for a while."

 Speaking, he put her on the bed without any explanation.

This guy has always been difficult to deal with in bed. After being outside for half a year, Jingshu thought he was going to torment her this time, but unexpectedly he just held her tightly. Jingshu didn't see him move for a long time and was about to close her eyes. While she was recuperating, he whispered in her ear: "Miscarriage will hurt your health. I was really anxious yesterday. You can survive and take care of yourself for a while."

Jingshu didn't sleep all night either. She nestled in his arms and fell into a deep sleep after a while.

 She had a dream.

Dream that she could no longer have children and was actually harmed by her good stepmother. She cried sadly. Li Ling wiped her tears and said words of comfort to her.

Later, she saw Li Ling put on the dragon robe again, and he put the phoenix robe on the table for her with his own hands. There were several cute children surrounding them, chattering and calling their parents.

 She was brightly dressed and smiling, and they lived a happy life.

This dream was very long, but clear. When Jing Shu woke up, she saw that Li Ling was sleeping soundly, but his arms holding her did not loosen at all.

Jingshu took out the letter and the letter from her sleeve pocket and quietly tore them into pieces.

 She should trust her husband.

 Find back the confident self you once were, and get along with Li Ling in a different attitude, and they will both be happy.
