Reborn As A Cute Loli

Chapter 45 - 40 Ancestor-level inheritance

In the temporary camp of the Yan Clan in the periphery of the rainforest in Wuxi City. Several Immortal-level cultivators, we're kneeling like students who have done something wrong. Meanwhile, two cold-faced middle-aged men were silently gazing at them.

None of the immortal-level cultivators dared to let out a squeak. The atmosphere was very tense. If their gazes had been a little bit more power into it, it could have frozen the blood of low-level cultivators. Even the elders were experiencing chaotic qi circulation due to the pressure.

Fortunately, the confrontation was broken with a sudden commotion outside.

In front of the entrance of the Sacred Palace Trial Grounds, the three pillars which haven't had any activity for a long time lit up, followed by ancient bell sounds which resounded in the whole Moxi City.

*Ding* *Ding* *Ding* *Ding*

Each strike of the bell penetrated deeply to the residents of Moxi City.

Three pillars... four bells...

This represents the highest possible inheritance which could be taken from the Sacred Palace Trial Grounds, which is at the superior ancestor-level.

The city instantly erupted into a hubbub. Meanwhile, betting places experienced a second wave of customers. This time they are betting on who was able to activate the superior ancestor-level inheritance instead of which inheritances would activate.

Meanwhile, inside the trial grounds, Rinley looked at the familiar statue in front of her. There is no mistake that this is the place.

She had been circling the area in the last few hours and this is where the signal from the map brought her.

"Damn old man, would you die if you don't parade your face?" Rinley mumbled.

"*Cough*" Suddenly she heard a sound from the statue, "Dearest disciple, you're finally here?"

[The statue can talk?] Rinley was surprised but quickly regained her composure.

"Master," Rinley greeted respectfully. She still needed those treasures so she needed to play the good disciple now. Fortunately, it looks like her master didn't hear her mumble.

A light enveloped Rinley and she was transported to another place.

As soon as Rinley disappeared, two youths came out from behind a tree.

"What did Rinley say? Master?" the shorter youth said.

"Since when did she have a master?"

the other youth answered the question with another question.

The two carefully observed the statue before walking away, still mumbling to each other.

"That statue looks familiar, where have we seen it?"

Rinley materialized inside in a richly decorated courtyard, but before she could further observe the surroundings, she noticed a flash of white suddenly rushed into her.

She was about to dodge but as the white thing was about five meters away from her, an invisible force field barred its way, making it tumble to the ground.

"Whitey!" Rinley called squealing in excitement.

"Rinrin!" the thing transformed into a humanoid and answered. He is as tall as an average teenager. His eyes were emerald green and his white hair dr.a.p.ed upon his shoulders, it looks contrasting to his vivid blue robe. However, the most noticeable thing is, his features were somehow similar to the previous 'Rinley' that they could be mistaken as siblings.
