Reincarnation: A New World

Chapter 26 - Bloody Percy

Having comprehended Mage Hand, Nora already set her sights on her next goal, she asked Sev, "What other Level-0 spells would you recommend?" her smile seemingly taunting the awestricken Great Mage.

"Well, shouldn't you take a break?" the breakneck speed of which Nora learned scared him to the point of no return, "That must've tired you out..."

"I'm fine. I could do a few more..." at the sound of Nora's words Sev's face paled. "Fine, fine..." his unwanting steps taking far longer than they should to reach the board. Sev then carefully wrote out two more common Mage spells, the Level-0 Candlelight, and the Level-0 Mage Eye

Candlelight creating a dim candle-like light which said mage can freely manipulate within 2 meters. On the other hand, Mage Eye being far more like Mage Hand, creating a controllable eye which allows a Mage to see through said eye.

In a similar fashion to Mage Hand, Nora managed to skip the incantation stage and within a few attempts wrangled control of both of these spells. Mage Eye, in particular, bringing an odd sense of self as an external perspective shifted the general view of the surroundings.

Soon enough, Percy walked up to Nora and asked her a few questions about the cultivation manual she'd given him. After a few minutes of deliberation, Percy made his way back to one of the many classroom chairs and started to cultivate. Slowly a few minor cuts no larger than papercuts appeared on his face. The blood barely breaking past the skin through the cuts. Gradually, slightly larger cuts began to appear. The cuts began to exponentially multiply. One turned twenty, twenty turned a hundred. Blood profusely bled through the now thousands of cuts. With each and every single one of Percy's heartbeats, a wave of blood leaked out of each and every cut. Even Sev, who had witnessed many atrocities in his time fell silent as the young boy turned into a pulsating mass of blood. Each heartbeat creating a series of squelches. The blood-soaked uniform slowly disappearing before an even greater mass of blood.

Great Mage Mirlie terrified at the sight ran towards Percy before being yelled at, "Don't touch him! You'll kill him!" only Percy could end his cultivation, otherwise the cuts which have been spouting blood would begin to overpower the cultivation's creation of blood. Turning Percy into a bloodless husk.

"Just give him some time, it's not even that bad" Nora having seen much crueller cultivation techniques didn't even bat an eye at the sight of endless blood, "I think I'll call it for the day, I'm quite tired..." a false yawn stretching over her face, yet, the two Great Mages were completely affixed on Percy. "Fine, but you better clean it up, otherwise it'll reek of blood for a very long time..." pointing at the quickly forming puddle of blood.

Nora casually left the three in the classroom as she made her way back to her dorm. She really wanted to delve into her cultivation. She really wanted to advance with her 'Demonic Witchgod Transformations'. She could already feel that with a few good nights of cultivation she could complete her first transformation, having full replaced her heart. The power which Sev wielded seemed very appealing to her. If her transformations did eventually grant a new affinity, she may get to learn and analyze any and all interesting powers which she stumbled across.

Undeterred, Nora reached her dorm and quickly activated the secret array below her bed. Seemingly disappearing from the world, being replaced by the near-perfect illusion. Without a second thought, she jumped into cultivation and in turn sat on her bed in a lotus position. The purple core in place of Nora's heart had grown substantially from when it first had formed. Everything had been progressing fine until in the midsts of her cultivation, Nora heard a faint female voice speak from behind her, although barely audible the voice deeply terrified every fibre of Nora's soul. Something about the voice seemed completely wrong, the slow pronunciation of each word made the entirety of the encounter far eerier, "What do we have here... Hmmm... Interesting..." the voice paused, Nora's mind raced in the silence until the quiet was broken once again, "A dragon cultivator... wait, those dragons aren't from this world." the being behind the voice instantly seeing Nora's cultivation and the origin of the 'Dragon Kings Incarnation'. "You'll be quite entertaining to watch... Let me spice things up..."

Nora instantly felt an insurmountable surge of demonic energy collide against her body. The only release, a bloodcurdling screech as the insides of Nora began to reform and reconstruct. The single purple core shattered into 9 segments. Each of the segments reforming into 9 smaller cores. An inconceivable myriad of inscriptions appearing on each of the cores.

Under the duress of the demonic energy, the demonic array which Nora had inscribed on herself failed and Nora's appearance adapted to her true form. The pale skin turned ghastly, her eyes shifted, her pupils morphing into vertical lines, the brown pigment turning a bright golden.

Signalizing the end of the energy, a *Ding* resounded in Nora's mind.
