After the exchange of giggles and chuckles, Elaia felt some pain on her arms.

She looked at her arms and she saw some bruises appearing on the surface of her skin. "Ugh. Not again."

D then looked at her with concern, "Why do they keep appearing like that when you don't even move a muscle from this bed?"

"It's my illness. I don't know what kind of illness is this. There were scars and bruises appearing on my body and sometimes I feel like I'm burning in hell, like what happened earlier that's why you found me inside my bathtub."

D reached out to touch Elaia's arm.

The moment his hand touched her arm, all the bruises disappeared.

They both looked at each other. Clearly surprised and confused.

"Did you see that?" D asked for confirmation.

Elaia nodded. "Do you have any healing powers?"

"None that I know of." D answered.

D put back his focus on Elaia's arm that he was still holding.

Elaia couldn't contain her curiosity so she asked, "Then how is this possible" as she points towards her arm that was still caged by D's grip.

"Honestly, I don't know. But what we do know right now is that I can take away the bruises."

They were both silent when suddenly Elaia's phone went off. It was her mom who is calling her right now.

"Hello, mom?"

"Elaia Athena! When did you have a boyfriend?! And why didn't you tell me about him?!"

Elaia g.r.o.a.n.e.d and wiped her face with her hand frustratingly, "Mom."

"Don't 'mom' me! Am I still your mother?! You don't even care to tell me about your boyfriend! Does he have dimples like you've always wanted? Quick! Answer me!"

Elaia blushed out of embarassment. She can see by D's smirk that he heard her mother's ranting.

"Hello aunty." D butted in.

Elaia slapped D's arm and mouthed 'What are you doing? Are you crazy?!'

Elaia's mom shouted on the phone and said "Oh my god! Elaia! Quick! Turn on the video cam! I wanna see my future son-in-law!"

Even if Elaia doesn't want to, she knows that her mother won't stop meddling with her personal affairs. "Fine. There." Then she focused the camera so that both her and D can be seen by her mother.

The moment her mother saw D's face. She squealed.

"Really, mom?! Are you still a teenager?"

Elaia's mother started punching into the air. "I'm so proud of you, Elaia. He's even more handsome than your dad when he was still in college." Then she sighed dreamily.

"Mom!" Elaia w.h.i.n.ed.

D chuckled then greeted Elaia's mom. "Goodmorning Mrs. Chase"

Elaia's mom smiled, "Oh cut the formalities! Just call me Elena or 'mom'", then she winked.

"Oh my god. I want this floor to swallow me right now. You're embarassing me, mom!"

"Oh shush! When did I ever embarass you?"

'I remember so many events' Elaia thought as she shook her head.

Elena then turned her full attention towards D, "So... What's the name of my baby's boyfriend?"

"D. Just D." D answered.

Seeing that Elaia's mother was still waiting for him to say his whole name. D then said politely, "D Arthur Hunt."

Elaia looked at D like she was saying 'Really? You now have a full name in an instant huh?"

D squeezed Elaia's hand. And looked at her like he was saying 'just go along with it'

Seeing that the couple was in a lovey dovey atmosphere, Elena smiled.

Elena straightened out her posture then said to D with a serious tone, "Okay. For the final verdict, can you smile at the camera, D?

D do as he was told.

Elaia's mother squealed again. "Elaia! He have dimples! Like with an 's'! I now know for sure that you really must be happy with your boyfriend!"

"Really, mom?! My happiness all goes down with dimples?" Elaia w.h.i.n.ed.

"Uhm. Yeah? That's kinda your weird obsession." Then Elena laughed.

Elena turned to D then said, "Don't hurt my daughter, D. You've been warned."

"I promise I won't," he paused for five seconds then added, "mom".

Elena giggled. "That's more I like it! Elaia, keep this one." She winked again then ended the video call.

Elaia sighed. "Sorry about mom. But really, D?! D Arthur Hunt?!" Then she chuckled.

"Your second name is Athena so I just think of a name that starts with 'A' and 'Arthur' is the first one to pop in my head."

Elaia nodded then crossed her arms. "What about 'Hunt'?"

D smirked then answered, "Well, you're a 'Chase' so I've gotta be 'Hunt'."

Elaia blushed then tucked some strands of hair behind her ear as she mumbled, "Idiot."
