Chapter 30 - Mephisto

After he killed the Undead Minotaur, Kim Shin looked around him and discovered that, he's in the middle of the corridor with a number of doors.

Looking around Kim Shin tried to remember the path to the room of the Accessory Artifact.

Eventually, Kim Shin made a decision and quickly took the left path.

Advancing forward, the path ended to a corner with a right path.

Taking the right path, Kim Shin reached a big square like corridor with 4 doors; 2 at the left and another 2 at the right side.

CRACK!

At the midst of his advancing Kim Shin heard a sudden sound seems like a broken glass and when he looked down, he found a fragments of a broken white flower vase at his right feet.

'SH*T!'

He cursed in his mind.

At first, the four door slowly open, when it was only half-open it suddenly opened widely and,

slammed heavily on the wall.

WHOOSH~

Multiple Undead Minotaur came out of the four wooden doors.

Whew~

"Fortunately, it was only an Undead Minotaurs.."

Kim Shin sighed in relief.

Although it was only a numbers of Undead Minotaur, his pathway got blocked by them.

Holding his sword on his right hand. Kim Shin quickly dove in the middle of the Undead Minotaurs and start massacring them.

He easily decapitated them, with their slow movements. They could not hit him even once.

While grumbling, Kim Shin continue to move forward after he cleared the Undead Minotaur.

At his way, Kim Shin encountered a few more Undead Minotaur.

The path his traversing was turned left and right for a multiple times.

And finally, he reached the end of the dim-light corridor.

A massive black heavy metal door was blocking his way.

'Why is it close?'

Kim Shin thought.

What he remembered is, there's indeed a massive metal door. However it was already widely open when they got here.

So now, that it was suddenly sealed. Kim Shin keep his guard up.

The massive metal door slowly opened.

What welcomed Kim Shin is a figure of a person in the distance clad in black cloak at the bottom of gargantuan black altar in the center stage of the spacious-lengthy Cathedral Hall with a numerous of long broken wooden chairs.

The Cathedral Hall was filled of small white candle that illuminating the dark spacious hall.

Complained by the person in the black cloak standing on the blood ancient symbol painted on the Center Stage of the Cathedral Hall at the bottom of the Gargantuan Black Altar.

Even though the distance of Kim Shin at the person in the black cloak is too far to hear what it's saying.

Kim Shin definitely heard it behind his ears.

'Its not a monster!'

Kim Shin was overcome by shock as he heard the archaic voice of the person in black cloak.

"Yes. Maybe I'm not a monster. However, it could be, No, because I'm partly a monster. Did I answered your question?"

At the sudden answer of his thought, Kim Shin could not help but to felt dread and unease. He could not hide anything from this person.

'Who is he?..'

"Who am I? I'm the sole survivor follower of the Undead King Emissary and the owner of the Cathedral you just sneaked in.. Mephisto."

The sudden pressure descend after Mephisto's words.

"It seems like I'm done here.."

Murmured by Mephisto as it looked at the gargantuan black altar above him.

Despite of the increasing pressure in the atmosphere, Kim Shin still tried to appraise this mysterious person.

At Mephisto's reprimand. Kim Shin realized what's the hidden meaning behind Mephisto's words.

It seems like Mephisto is telling him that he knew what Kim Shin's thinking and doing.

"Mmh. Although, I'm already detoriating after the ritual I had completed. I'm still multiple times above of your level.."

"What ritual?"

"The comeback of my Majesty The Undead King on Yggdrasil and you will never witness his reigning.. Haha."

After Mephisto's revelation it suddenly started laughing maniacally that reverberated around the Cathedral Hall.

"He's mad.."

Kim Shin muttered on shocking revelation as he watched Mephisto laughing like a lunatic.

"Now, that I'm already done talking to you. You can die now and serve the King!"

After his declaration, Mephisto immediately advance forward to Kim Shin.

'Damn..'

'If it goes to worst I might just gonna die once again. Heh!'

Kim Shin brushed off all his thinking and quickly activate all his skills.

The pressuring atmosphere Kim Shin felt earlier quickly gone as his power soared up.

Shockwave appeared around him, it's his first time to activated all his buff skills at the same time.

The ground he stepped on crumbled as he instantaneously appeared before Mephisto like a quick lightning leaving a disintegrating red aura behind him.

Another shock wave explode at the collision of Kim Shin's black iron sword and Mephisto's golden skull staff.

" Fireball.."

Mephisto slowly chanted.

'Goddamned madman. To shoot a fireball at close distance?'

Kim Shin quickly jumped backward and swear, annoyed at Mephisto's despicable act.

The fiery fireball with a size of a basket ball swiftly flew at him. Even at his over a hundred stats, the fireball that Mephisto's shoot was so fast.

Fortunately, Mephisto is currently weaken or else, Kim Shin probably already got burned by the fiery fireball. If, Mephisto is already this strong on his weaken state.

Red fireballs rained down on Kim Shin. However, Kim Shin managed to dodge the flurry assaults of Mephisto and made counter attacks.

A big red magic circle with a different ancient symbols like ancient chinese characters in the inside, appeared as if painted on the ground where his staff stomped.

At Mephisto's call, the ground where the red magic circle at, suddenly started to crack.

The crack continue to get bigger. In the midst of the crumbling ground. A giant black left hand came out from the cracked ground.

The giant black hand grasp on the ground and slowly climb out that caused the ground greatly destroyed.

"ROOOOOOAAARRRR"

It made a deafening roar.

When the monster finally climb out of the ground.

Kim Shin finally realized what monster is it.

"Minotaur.. it's a bit Huge!"

Yes. It was the same Undead Minotaur that he just massacred on the way. However, there's a little difference. A big difference rather.

It was too Humongous.

Now, that it's already standing it was almost 10 meter tall armed with a massive black bastard sword with its bulging muscle it could wield the Giant Sword with a simple swing. Although undead, it's on much better state than other undead monsters.
