Reincarnation Of Third-rate Swordsman

Chapter 61 - Fifth Floor - II | Snow Monster

"We're not on the 5th floor?"

"I'm not sure yet. But we will know it after we managed to leave this place. So, the question now is how?" Kim Shin spoke as he looked at the endless flat snowy field. The place was an open area which made it difficult for them to choose where to go.

Plus, the snow fell heavily that caused a thick fog which limits their sight.

"Let's go. We can't just stand here and wait for ourselves turned to an ice sculpture." Kim Shin said as he frowned and then walked forward followed by Old Victor, who's still shaking because of coldness brought by the occasionally blowing air.

After a couple of minutes. Victor who's on the verge of falling, couldn't help but questioned Kim Shin.

"Where are we heading?" He asked in a weak voice. However, as if Kim Shin didn't hear him, the young man still looked seriously at the foggy distance.

Kim Shin who's cautiously inspecting their surroundings as, they carefully advance, finally sighted a village like-place at the distance behind the thick cold fog.

"Is that village?!" Victor exclaimed as his eyes lit up when he saw the silhouette of a village at the distance.

"Hopefully..." Kim Shin uncertainly answered, but he also hoped it's a village, so they could warm their freezing bodies.

Threading the thick fog, they finally reached the front of the old and quiet village as their foot mark carved on the snow was quickly coated with heavy snow.

Kim Shin then looked at the old man beside him and said; "Old Victor, get ready!"

Hearing Kim Shin's order, Victor's twinkling eyes died down. He knew what's the meaning behind Kim Shin's words.

They're still in the 'Killer's Tower' and there might be an ambush waiting for them. Then, Victor clenched his magic stick and nodded his head in response to Kim Shin's words.

Kim Shin also gripped his long sword then he nodded his head in signal to Old Victor as they cautiously walked forward.

Entering the village, Kim Shin and Victor looked around and weirdly found a couple of wooden huts while some were already ruined and heavily covered by white snow.

What weird is, they couldn't find any sign of someone living or lived here.

As they survey the surroundings, Kim Shin deeply frowned then questioned himself.

'Who built this village? What the reason for making this village inside the Tower?'

It was truly weird. It doesn't make sense at all.

Shaking his head to brush off his weird thoughts, Kim Shin then ordered Old Victor.

"Old man, summon some of your stone golems and let them scan the whole village just to be safe."

"Roger!" Old Victor affirmatively replied like an old soldier as he then chanted something and 'BOOM' the ground shook, and five 3-meter tall stone golems appeared near him.

"Go, check the whole area! If you guys found something inform me immediately. Move!" Victor strictly commanded his stone golems. And the ground shook when the stone golems moved immediately at their master's order

Then, Victor looked back at Kim Shin and asked, "What's next?"

"Hmm, let's find a good place to rest first. I know that you're already freezing." Kim Shin softly said. Obviously, he's concerned at the old man's health condition.

"Hehe. So, thoughtful of you, young man..." Old Victor teasingly said as he weirdly smiled.

"Don't misunderstand me, Old Man. I'm not worried about you. I j-just....Nevermind." Kim Shin which's trying to reason abruptly stopped and ignored the cheekily smiling old man.

Inside the wooden hut.

Kim Shin and old Victor were sitting near the fiery campfire made by Kim Shin.

While meditating, Kim Shin suddenly asked old Victor who's lying inside the green sleeping bag, "Old man, how's your golems?."

He finds it weird. He didn't know why Victor's stone golems were taking so much time just to check the small village.

"Hmm, they seem like on the way back here. AH!" Victor who's checking the location of his golems by sensing them suddenly cried out.

Kim Shin frowned at the sudden cry of Victor then he asked, "What happened old man?"

"One of my golems just died...Urgh! Another one was killed by someone or something" Victor answered.

Hearing Old Victor answer, Kim Shin quickly stood up. Then,"Let's go find out what happened." He said as he immediately ran outside which hurriedly followed by the old man.

ROAR!

A loud roar could be heard at the distance when they got out of the wooden hut.

"What is that?" Victor asked in worry after he heard the deafening scream that struck a fear in his heart.

"I don't know. Let's go!" Kim Shin simply answered as he urged old Victor and rushed to the source of the roaring sound.

Afterwards, they eventually arrived behind the village. And they could find Victor's stone golem gripped on the neck by a white vicious humanoid monster.

"Yeti?!" Kim Shin uttered as he frowned when he saw the 15 ft tall covered in long, white fur monster.

The monster's hands and feet are wide and flat. It's eyes are icy blue while it claws, and flesh are ivory white. They really looked like an ape with a thick and white fur. But what's different was the twisted horn of the yeti.

"If there's a yeti here, then it means there's a nearby mountain around here..." Kim Shin murmured in realization.

Since, yeti are normally lived in a snowy mountain top.

[Yeti Lv. 25]

The yeti's level showed up above it's big head.

"Are you ready to revenge for your golems, old man?" Kim Shin spoke with a smirked on his face towards the shocked Victor.

"M-me? Of course!" Victor stuttered when he answered. The roar earlier made him fear the white monster as his heart beat wildly.

"Then, come on!" Kim Shin spoke loudly as he immediately rushed at the white monster followed up by the hunch back old man.
