Kaguya

There, standing in front of her stood the despicable man she did not want to see.

His hair slightly disheveled, beads of sweat running from his temple and out of the breath. Why did he look like he ran a marathon?

If Sosuke knew what she was thinking he would've told her otherwise, it wasn't that he looked like he ran one, he really did considering the distance of his work place and their home.

"Is there something you need?" She asked holding back the urge to smack him with the plate her tea cup was sitting on.

In their previous life, he never did this. Although he was there by her side, it was only during social gatherings, he never once bothered to visit her during her pregnancy.

Did reincarnating change something? Looking into his eyes she saw the same eyes he looked at her son with. She massaged her temple, closing her eyes for a bit. She can't believe, she won't believe that this gaze of his meant something.

She cursed to herself. This is nonsense, don't delude yourself Kaguya. She utterly crushed the idea of that man ever loving her. Lest she remind herself of the events that occurred in their last life.

She was a fool to have ever thought that man would ever love her, loving him for so many years almost made her have hope. Tsk. After she has her baby she will ask for a divorce and cut ties completely with him.

She silently watched as he caught his breath, the ever so gallant Sosuke made is way towards her.

"Are you alright?" His monotonous tone was cold, yet it held some warmth to it. He has never asked her how she felt before, she was too taken back by his question that she gazed at him questioningly.

At this very moment she wanted to see what was in the head of this devil, since when did he start concerning himself with her life. Possessed? No, can't be. I doubt any demon or spirit will be able to overtake this black-hearted fiend.

If Sosuke heard her thoughts he would've vomited blood.

"Oh, it's not everyday 'husband' visits me, I'm fine on my own" She emphasised the word 'husband' with a smile that wasn't a smile.

Her words seemed to have affected him as he hung his head. He immediately lifted his head and stood before her. He still had a domineering air about him but in an instant it disappeared as he knelt before her, but not before asking her if he could touch her belly.

She really didn't want him touching her especially when he touched that vile s.l.u.t, she forced herself to nod with a fake smile.

*In this lifetime ML has not yet come across Yukari, FL refers to their previous life

When she felt his hands c.a.r.e.s.s her swollen belly, she felt strange. She quickly discarded the feeling and took it as nothing. In response to the damned man's touch, her baby kicked. This brought a award-winning smile from his father. Kaguya had to admit he was indeed a unfairly handsome man, however to the reincarnated her, he was nothing more than a pretty face.

"He's a lively one" Sosuke commented. Kaguya looked at him with narrowed silver orbs.

"What makes you think it's a boy?" She inquired.

"A feeling" he replied curtly. A feeling ? She inwardly rolled her eyes, since when did he ever act on 'a feeling'?

After that she completely ignored his presence as if he were nothing. She thought he would've burst from anger from being ignored but he just watched her patiently with a warm gaze.

She was starting to get uncomfortable under his watch. How was she to make plans if he stays by her side all day. Sigh. She would have to save it for another time, it's not like he would be by her side everyday.

If he was going to just sit there and do nothing she might as well make use of him.

"Choose a colour" she said out of the blue.

"...Blue" Sosuke answered after much thought. Kaguya stopped and looked at him, my favourite colour, huh.

She didn't know if he just said that on a whim or if he remembered it was her favourite colour. She lightly shook the thought away and went back to sewing the baby clothes.

It was almost time for dinner, and he had yet to leave. Not long after they were called by a maid servant that the bath was ready. The master had his own bathroom connected to his study room, however whilst madam was busy sewing a sweater for the future young miss/master, master had told the old maid to prepare a bath for madam and ensure it was 98.6 degrees. Warm and not hot.

*Apparently 98.6 degrees is the perfect degree for women during their pregnancy if they wish to bathe

It was the first time Master openly asked for something on Madames behalf. The old maid was very happy for Madame, it seemed Master truly did care for her.

Kaguya had been surprised when she was led by the old maid to Sosuke's study, leading her directly to the large bath through the door of his study. When she questioned the old maid, the old maid may or may not have told a little white lie on Masters behalf, this was to ensure that Master and Madame cultivate their marriage.

Kaguya was hesitant at first but entered only keeping a towel wrapped around her slim figure. She felt the temperature of the bath was perfect and felt relaxing, that was until Sosuke walked in with a towel wrapped around his waist.

"What are you doing in here?" She asked coldly.

"Is it wrong to want to bathe with my wife?" He countered.

Since she was already comfortable she would just treat him as air. She turned her head away in annoyance. Kaguya watched him from the corner of her eye, if he tried anything funny she would end his brotherhood.

Meanwhile, while she was keeping her guard up a certain rogue was watching her with a heated gaze. Being stared at so intently was making her uncomfortable, she felt like throwing something at those damned peach blossom eyes of his.
