Little Du and Dulir were both confused for some time before Dulir recalled Merlin saying the words 'High Tier combatants' and instantly understood and came to multiple conclusions.

Many emotions flashed passed his eyes, before settling at satisfaction and becoming less tense.

Little Du also noticed that part and asked hesitantly.

"You want to fight?"

"I want to, no, I need to kill. Once I have enough, I will go up and kill those fake dragons. Just point me in a direction, I will kill all the enemies. All you guys need to do is hold off the enemy's peak Tier 4s, and I'll manage the rest."

Hearing this boastful youth, Little Du, who was actually around 50 years old frowned, while Dulir had a shiver run down his spine.

He knew exactly what this outsider was talking about.

With Arcania by his side, he could grow indefinitely as long as he could kill. It was highly likely that he had already grown past the limit of his plane and therefore had wandered the empty void, somehow surviving its curse energy, and Entering this plane. Somehow, this plane was just perfect for him, limiting the power of all creatures to just below tier 5, which meant that as long as he could kill Tier 4s, he could also reach the peak of tier 4 within even a few hours!

This was the most terrifying part about Arcania! Although it was an accursed power, that very power it gave was something no one could doubt.

Dulir leaned towards Little Du, and waved his hand towards Merlin, causing him to be unable to hear their conversation.

After a while of talking, the two came out of the barrier and Little Du said resolutely,

"Alright. The Du Clan is currently at war with the Shi Clan. IT is not a silence war, but an all-out war. Currently, most of our experienced soldiers have gone to the battlefield and have been there for the past few years. You should just go there. You can just go wild. But make sure you do not kill a single Du Clansman."

"For now, go and rest. You can leave tomorrow with the next batch of new recruits we are sending over."

Merlin revealed a sinister smile before nodding and followed the guard out of the room towards his resting room.

Back in the study room, Little Du and Dulir, both sighed simultaneously and looked at each other with resigned looks.

They were currently losing the war. Although the Shi and the Du clans had the same number of peak Tier 4s, with the overall strengths of such people more of less equalling out, The Shi clan clearly had almost double the number of lower levelled Tier 4 combatants.

This war was naturally not initiated by them, but was started by the Shi clan for a random reason that a member of the Du clan had stolen clothes from a member of the Shi clan without giving any details.

This war had been on for almost 2 years non-stop, and for even more baffling reasons, the Supreme leader, the one who rules over the entire Dwarven Empire, had not stopped it, not even condemning the war in the slightest!

At this point, the Du clan already knew that this was a conspiracy against them, but what could they do? They knew that in the boundless worlds both ruled by and not ruled by Arcania, power meant everything. As long as they had power, they could even go as far as overthrowing the Supreme leader. Alas, they were simply too week to even maintain their current position as a top clan, and would sooner or later be demoted to a regular clan, or even be fully devoured by the Shi clan!

At such a moment, fate seemed to have blessed them by sending over this odd 'human' named Merlin who somehow had the support of Arcania!

With just the fact of having someone who could use Arcania by their side meant that they would easily be able to surpass the Shi clan in no time.

Dulir had explained to Little Du before accepting Merlin's request,

And that was why they had allowed Merlin to go to the battlefield. This way, they not only would be able to harm the Shi Clan quite a but, but would also have a powerful ally, if not supporter behind them once the fellow was done with killing in the battlefield.
