"It's over. Get up you wussy!"

Realising there was no response from the struggling chief. Since this was not a direct order, nothing actually happened to the chief when he did not respond. Merlin simply squeezed the soul segment using his own boosted soul, resulting in an extreme pain throughout the chief's body, without creating any actual wounds.

"Now, get up soldier!"

"Ah! Yes sir." The instinctual response to a direct order was brought out from within the depths of the chief's mind. It had already been 20 years since he had entered the police force, and at the age of 30, he became the chief of headquarters in Staten island, with a direct force of 50 under him at all times.

But the memories ingrained into his subconscious through the hellish year-long military training still remained, and was brought out by Merlin's yell.

"Good. Now listen clearly, every time you disobey an order from me, you will experience this kind of pain throughout your body, and if you completely disregard my orders, you will die. So follow me like an obedient dog or just f*ck off and die"

"Yes sir!"

The reason Merlin was taking so much effort to control this person, was because he was a player, just like Merlin himself. He was a person who could be grinded to reach around level 3 during the remaining time of the tutorial. This chance could not be forgone to level-up a human this easily, who will be under his control. The last time he met a player, he seemed to understand the gist of levelling up and had already become proficient in magic. But such low-level spells and casting ability would only cause you to fall prey to faster moving enemies. This was why is was so easy to kill them, and why Merlin was first becoming stronger, faster and more experienced in close-quarter combat, before moving on to magic.

"Good, now tell everyone of your soldiers to pack up everything within this place, even the reinforcements on the windows and walls, and put it all into suitable transportation. You will then go to the Bay bridge and meet up with the rest of the force there. Ask the people to meet with Sean, and tell him that Merlin sent you to become part of the group. Don't forget to show him the brand on your chest.

It is my mark and he will let you all in. Also, tell him that this 50 strong army of yours will be under your control only, and not to be split into the other groups, and you will be one of the group leaders. My third in command is your new position"

"Yes sir"

When a soul pact was formed, a scar would also form on the body of the weaker being. This scar is a mark created from the imagination of the stronger being, and so the weaker being was later called the marks, and the stronger was called the marker.

In Merlin's case, all his marks had a symbol of an elemental storm. This was Merlin's strongest spell as an elementalists, which consisted of him using the exact same amount and tier spells of every single element at once, resulting in utter chaos. A spell what was only comprised of chaotic elemental force and mana, and in theory, if Merlin had enough mana, he could create one that could even injure Zero.

But just creating one storm, the size of Merlin's head, would consume half his mana to create and the other half to move according to his will for a brief moment, when he was at his strongest.

The 50 soldiers left in their vehicles to move towards the bay bridge through the path Merlin had shown. He also instructed the chief to stop by all police stations and pick up all officers, and other survivors within the stations.

He also told him to stay clear of people with blue markers on top of their heads like Merlin's own. The reason he didn't directly give orders to the squad, was to keep the moral of the group high.

If someone new suddenly came and took over their group, they might not follow Merlin's instructions whole-heartedly, but if their own chief gave the orders, they would follow them without a single objection.

With this, Merlin was about to continue his massacre, when he spotted a faint presence behind him, hiding behind a corner.
