Runaway Goddess: Mischievous Third Miss

A rumour is spreading in the imperial city, an expert who disguises himself as a Martial Warrior defeated seven Fighter Kings in a single strike. The rumoured expert is a youth who is about sixteen or seventeen years old. No one knows his name or background. Eunuch Lao quickly went to the side of the emperor in a fast but calculated pace. He is the one who inform the emperor about the enigmatic expert. Serving the emperor since he was young, he already knew what the emperor was thinking. Sure enough, once the idea pops up in his mind he quickly called him. Eunuch Lao is not surprise at all.

"This servant greets His Highness," Eunuch Lao said as he saluted.

"Eunuch Lao, this one wanted you to find that mysterious expert and rope him to our side. General Ren and General Bai are not getting younger. We need some fresh blood to strengthen our strength," the emperor said with a serious voice.

"This servant will oblige His Highness orders," Eunuch Lao said and quickly leaves.

The emperor is pleased as he continues to fantasize and enjoy in his own world. A powerful expert by his side means power. He won't be worried about the ferocious General Bai or the gentle but fierce General Ren. He could still toy around the other generals as they all came from a humble background before they gain power but the two old generals' families existed since the foundation of the Xing Yan Empire.

He doesn't have a problem with General Ren as his third granddaughter is betrothed to the crown prince. Regards to General Bai, he doesn't have any daughter or granddaughter. The old general is also hard to please. If it weren't because the Bai Clan is indebted to the imperial family, he would never let himself be a servant of his.

Today is a rare peaceful moment in the Ren Manor. Due to the incident with the crown prince, Ren Liqin quickly left to the Iron Fortress Academy together with Ren Hualing. Ren Lifen also left to enrol in the Mythic Falls Academy of Magic. Only the silent and aloof Ren Huan left in the manor. Hearing this news, Ren Zhilan frowns in disp.l.e.a.s.u.r.e. She is still not done playing with them around and now they all left? This is like an insult to her.

Ren Zhilan doesn't have any prejudice against Ren Huan as he has a quiet and aloof personality. They don't even cross paths even before she occupied this body. She is the type of person who is benevolent to the people who don't touch her inverse scale and cruel to those who cause her disp.l.e.a.s.u.r.e.

Even with the absence of the three young masters of the Ren Manor, it doesn't mean her life is peaceful. She unexpectedly gains a little puppy that always follows her around wherever she goes. This not annoyed her as the little pup is quite adorable.

"Mo Shirong, are you not tired of following me around?" Ren Zhilan said as she looks at the colourful koi fishes swimming around the pond.

"Mother said that I should follow elder sister," Mo Shirong said with pure innocence reflected on his dark eyes.

"But you can't always follow me around. Your mother might miss you," Ren Zhilan said as she looks at the little bun with a helpless expression.

"But mother never stays," Mo Shirong said in a low and pitiful voice that almost breaks Ren Zhilan's heart.

She had a pure weakness when it comes to cute little things and this adorable little bun is not an exception. When she heard Mo Shirong's words, Ren Zhilan is quite surprise. It seems this aunt of hers is full of secrets. It's not her style to poke other's business. Whatever business her aunt Ren Wenling doing, she won't investigate any of it. She is more liked curious about her than cautious.

"Then, would you like to stay with this elder sister when your mother is not around?" Ren Zhilan said with a rare gentle smile on her face.

Mo Shirong is startle about Ren Zhilan's words. He always follows her around because that was her mother told him to do. This elder sister doesn't talk much and doesn't give him much attention but she gave him snacks and sweets whenever she spotted him tailing her. He grew up with only her mother and doesn't interact with other people.

Now that he is in the Ren Manor, aside from the grandfather who always showered him with gifts and toys and the servants who take care of him; he prefers the silent but gentle Ren Zhilan. Seeing her smile for the time made Mo Shirong in daze. He suddenly smiled and a dimple can be seen on his right cheek. It seems that Ren Zhilan acknowledge him. He feels delighted inside.

"Really? Does elder sister really mean it?" Mo Shirong said with sparkling eyes.

"Yes," Ren Zhilan said and gently patted his head.

As the two have a beautiful moment, a servant slowly walks to their direction. Ren Zhilan is currently taking rest in the garden of the manor where a pond, an oak tree and different flowers bloom. This is the only part of the manor where she feel relax aside from her courtyard.

"Third Young Miss, the general is looking for you," the servant girl said in a expressionless tone.

"En," Ren Zhilan said and followed the servant girl together with Mo Shirong.

Ren Zhilan is curious as she suddenly gain a favourable impression in the eyes of her stinky grandfather who shows his love to her once she became a little bit obedient and lady-like. Whatever it was, she doesn't care. This old man may be not being good but he is not cruel either.
