Chapter 29: Telling The Truth

Tian Huayu had merely assumed that Ye Yang was just trying to cheat something out of him, but he was surprised at how accurate Ye Yang was when he stated his symptoms.

“How did you know?” Tian Huayu was clearly shocked. He never expected such a thing to happen so he began plotting his moves behind the scenes.

His answer had basically implied that Ye Yang was right.

As business owners, from a certain perspective, their health did indeed influence the share value of their company. As such, many people paid great attention to the company president’s health. For the man before him to be able to speak of his illness so easily made Tian Huayu start suspecting his personal doctor.

Ye Yang was entertained by Tian Huayu’s changing facial expressions. Although Tian Huayu was still skeptical of Ye Yang, he was actually hoping that his symptoms could be reduced.

“How did you know?” Tian Huayu was puzzled. While his family doctor had been constantly searching for a cure, and their efforts so far had been fruitless.

For Ye Yang to show up before him without Tian Huayu ever voicing out his health concerns meant that Ye Yang wanted something from him. However, if Ye Yang was truly able to solve his health problems, whatever the man wanted might not be as important as his health.

A human’s worst fear was to be of no value in this world. That would mean that one could be easily abandoned.

Ye Yang sighed inwardly. Although Tian Huayu’s personal life was considered a mess and many people were laughing at him behind his back, the man was so remarkable when it came to business-related matters that those who laughed at him only dared to do it in the dark.

“Not only do I know this but I also know the cause of your illness,” Ye Yang spoke with so much confidence that Tian Huayu ended up believing in him.

Tian Huayu’s wife had been very discreet, but how could she ever be able to hide from Ye Yang’s keen eyes? Even if Tian Huayu was immoral in his personal life, it still did not justify her actions.

Being a man who was a veteran in the corporate world, Tian Huayu was familiar with the law of equivalent exchanges. Without needing much thought, Tian Huayu knew that Ye Yang was here for something else in return.

However, Tian Huayu couldn’t be bothered with anything else, even if deals like this were considered taboo for many people.

“My young friend, is there anything that you need my help with? If it is within my power, I won’t hesitate to lend you some assistance.” Tian Huayu assumed that anything Ye Yang was going to come up with was going to be a piece of cake.

Ye Yang wore a sheepish expression and said, “To ask for your assistance is too much. But President Huang is my girlfriend so I was hoping that President Tian could show her some mercy.”

While Huang Ruobing hadn’t given up on solving this issue, but since Ye Yang had come across it, if he could take some weight off her overburdened shoulders, that would be wonderful for Huang Ruobing.

At the mention of Huang Ruobing, Tian Huayu vaguely got the idea of what Ye Yang wanted. Since Ye Yang couldn’t possibly come up with any overly-absurd requests, if Ye Yang could help him with his problem, Tian Huayu didn’t mind showing mercy.

Once he heard Ye Yang’s request, Tian Huayu simply replied, “And here I was wondering what it could be. It’s only a small matter, and now that you’ve mentioned it, it will be done.”

As he spoke, Tian Huayu took out his phone to make the arrangements, showing great sincerity. Seeing how easy-going Tian Huayu was, Ye Yang’s impression of him turned better.

He Dong was extremely influential and not many people could afford to reject him. Hence, for people who were sensible enough to back down when the time called for it, Ye Yang would let them off.

In fact, Tian Huayu had been bitter about this incident. He had only decided to launch this attack mainly because he felt that Huang Ruobing was too arrogant and showed him no respect. However, after suffering a tiny loss from his attack, Huang Ruobing began showing great tenacity afterwards.

You’ve just been poisoned, and to prevent you or anyone else from realizing, the dosage of poison was strictly controlled by the perpetrator. Otherwise, you might not have been able to survive until our fateful meeting.”

Tian Huayu was stunned by this. He didn’t expect that anyone would have the nerve to do such a thing to him. But before Tian Huayu could catch his breath, Ye Yang continued elaborating.

“You’re quite relaxed when it comes to your immediate family.” While Ye Yang’s new comment seemed to be unrelated to what he was saying earlier, it was a clear hint to him that the perpetrator was Tian Huayu’s wife.

At this, Tian Huayu went into a state of disbelief. Although he enjoyed frolicking outside, Tian Huayu was no brainless fool. Despite having many mistresses outside of his marriage, never did he come back with an illegitimate child.

If he were to die, his wife and son would inherit most of his wealth and assets. Hence, Tian Huayu never suspected his wife.

“She… There’s no need for her to do this.”

Tian Huayu had just spoken when he saw Ye Yang sigh. “There isn’t a wall in this world that doesn’t have a crack. Since they’ve deliberately planned their tricks, it is only a matter of time before their plot finally gets uncovered. Especially something like falsifying the results of a paternity test.”

Ye Yang’s words came like a bomb that exploded inside Tian Huayu’s head.
