My name is Veigaz, a commoner. I am from the Listel Kingdom and currently, I am on the Althea, the Capital of Evandel Kingdom. I run from the Listel Kingdom to the neighboring Kingdom, Evandel because of some circ.u.mstances. But that was my past.

My current name is Vin, and now I stayed at a private house owned by Avalon Merchant Union. I have exclusive butler too until I reach 14 years old. My butler name is Jake. His job is very simple. He just needs to clean the house and accompany me everywhere I go. I never have treatments like that, so I just ask him to do house chores, and I will take the cooking part.

It's been 9 days since I escape from David Wardenia Bas.e.m.e.nt. I spent 2 days in bed to recover. Honestly, I just need 1 day, because I can cast [Heal] to myself, but Lady Sophia insists that I need more time to rest. So I reluctantly do that even I feel uncomfortable.

During that day, Lady Sophia always helps me, at the point, I could think she was like my Mom. Whenever I want to move from my bed, she will scold me.

She has the point but still, I feel bored. She spends most of her time to stay in my room. She helps me to eats and drinks. As for my need to go to the toilet, Sam will help me. Sam recovered faster than me (Though I was okay, I was forced to rest one more day). My arm still feels numb, my feet are a little bit shaking when I stand, but I think I will be okay on my own.

We stayed at David's Mansion since David Wardenia is already transported to the Althea and arrested for kidnapping Lady Sophia. My plan is successful even there's a small problem before.

Caroline successfully found some important doc.u.ments after searching every inch of the mansion. David was a criminal who does dirty work like smuggling and killing several aristocrats to keep his secret.

After 2 days of my recovering, We departure from Andalas and go to Althea together with Caroline's cavalry corps. She brings 30 cavalries to helps us and suppressing David's man.

We spent 7 days to reach Capital and nothing special happen on the trip. The bandits won't come near us who guarded by a corps of cavalry.

Currently, I am strolling in the city with Lady Sophia and Sam. As my butler, I tell him to do house chores because I have Sam to accompany me.

"How was your day in the Capital Vin?"

"It's very pleasant."

The private house isn't too big like Lady Sophia's private estate. The size is fit for a small family of four people to stay comfortably on that house. There are 3 bedrooms, a dining room, a living room and a bathroom with the toilet installed too.

I use 1 room and my butler use 1 room. The vacant room is supposed to welcome guests if I have one though. Since I fulfilling the promise with Sam and Lady Sophia, they will cover my expenses until I reach 14 years old. The reward is worth the risk.

I even got an allowance from Lady Sophia. She gives me 10 gold coins for a month. Since I got the house and money from helping them, I success to achieve my short goals.

The Capital, Althea is looked like New York, which like the city that never sleeps. Even in the night, you can see countless light from this city. The city is 10 times bigger than Andalas with round shape.

The trademarks of Althea is a Stone Tower that towering up to the sky in the middle of the city. Sam said that tower is a Dungeon entrance, Abyss Sanctuary Dungeon. That dungeon is one of the oldest dungeons in this world.

But I don't have the plan to visit any dungeon, since I know I will make the dungeon become Hell to the adventurer if I dive in. I still don't have many clues about my existence in the first place. I will hide my identity and continue to live as long as possible.

The people who know about my heterochromatic eyes are Olivia, Sophia, Caroline, my family and Count Wallace Mansion's residents (maid, attendants, Count Wallace family).

I think Olivia and Caroline won't tell anyone about my identity because Olivia already swears to keep my secret and Caroline can't argue with Olivia's order.

Sophia already swears to keep my secret and she even hides that from Sam.

As for Count Wallace, I think they will forget me and treat me like I never exist in the first place. The attendants will be keeping their master dignity by bury my existence and never bring that topic anymore

To know the situation on Count Wallace's territory and my parents are also my long-term goal. But I will hold it for now. I don't want to spread any information about my background by asking Sophia to investigate that now. I will wait for an opportunity to mask my intention.

The town's wall looks like a sturdy fortress with a lot of Archer holding longbows and crossbows. There are several guards with swords and long spears too. The wall probably 25-meter height and wrapping around the city with 4 mains gates on the north, east, south, and west.

The road in the capital is paved and well maintained. A lot of crowd flooding the street. Be it the merchants, city's residents, carriages, and adventurers. I even found a Colosseum in this city.

I can see a lot of people are lining to enter the Colosseum. They are probably enjoying the 'Gladiator' show.

"Vin, there is Junior Battle Contest in the Colosseum today. Do you want to join?"

"Sam, Vin is still recovering and he won't enter that contest!!"
