Junior Battle Contest is a special event that happens every 5 years on the Althea. The purpose of this event is to motivate all youngsters to push themselves to their limits even before reaching 14 years old.

Because they were lazy and just do training after enroll in the Elementary Academy. The Crest usually will evolve faster when you reach 14 years old and that time is the best to learn about Role and Magic stuff. So before they reach 14 years old, they only spent their time reading books or fooling around.

His Majesty (The King) wants to improve their quality and find a potential youngster to become the pillar of the Kingdom. That's why this Contest was born.

How ironic isn't it?

If this is was on Earth, the youngsters will enjoy their youth without doing something dangerous like this. They will go to school, hang out with their friends, playing games, reading manga, get a girlfriend or boyfriend and go to an interesting place.

Sadly, this world isn't kind enough. The strong one will always get everything, while the weak will be crushed.

There are three phases in this contest. The first phase will take 1 day. The second phase will be held the day after the first phase and after that, the last phase will come.

The first round is Free For All.

40 contestants will fight each other on the Arena until 4 last contestant left. The arena itself will have a border to eliminate the contestant IF they are knocked out from the arena. Another condition is IF they are surrender or passed out, they will be eliminated.

Round two is a Team Tag battle. Two contestants will be paired via the lottery. They will fight until 10 contestants left.

Round 3 is One on One Battle. I don't need to tell much detail for this phase, isn't it?

Colosseum is very large with an area of ​​about 1 hectare. The height of the wall is around 10 meters with a capacity of 25 thousand people (my estimation). The arena itself is very wide and I think it could fit 100 people and still have much space left.

In the first phase, I think I will avoid getting closer to the other contestant to save my energy. They can fight with each other until they are worn out. Since in this phase you only need to survive and stay in the arena, I think this is the safest choice.

It will become a different story IF this phase is about how many contestants that you defeat. If that happens, I will aim the weakest contestant and knock him out.

I also will stand near the border to make my enemies think twice about approaching me. Using my speed buff, I can dodge their attack and knock him out from the arena in the process.

Honestly, long-range weapon is better in this phase. My attack range will become wider and I can use it without risk myself to engage in close-range combat.

The second phase is dependent on my luck. If my partner is weak or not cooperative, my chance of winning will low.

The third phase is my purpose to enter this contest. I hope I can enter this phase and have sparred with a talented child and find my weakness.

After the sunset, the colosseum is illuminated with magic lamps. There are also some spotlights that focus on the arena. After that lighting show, there a masked guy comes into Arena.

"Good evening Ladies and Gentlemen, today we will begin the most popular event 'Junior Battle Contest'.This year we have 320 participants with various backgrounds and talents. I will call the contestants with the number from 1 until 40 to come in this Arena!!!"

A hooded girl using a rapier, two boys using swords, a boy that using a dagger and another boy that using a long spear. They staring at each other and don't make any move. What will they do I wonder....?

Could it be they will gang the weakest?

Or maybe they will eliminate the girl since she was alone. But that girl seems quite strong, so I doubt they will attack her even they work together.

Since no one makes a move, the battle becomes stagnant.IF this happens any longer, the audience will be bored.

Suddenly the girl makes a move and attacks the boy who used the dagger. As I thought, he will be sacrificed for this round.

His weapon range is the shortest among the other contestants. That means he needs to get closer to his target. He can't stay and keeping the distance IF he wants to win.

Another contestant also moving. The contestant who holding sword clashing each other and the long spear boy was left behind. Since sword becomes ineffective against long spear, they avoid him.

The rapier girl attacks the dagger boy with incredible speed. The unfortunate boy is cornered by her attack and slowly retreat until he out of the border. After the boy who held the dagger eliminated, the first phase part one finishes.

The remaining contestants in 1st part are The hooded girl with a rapier, two boys with swords and one boy with a long spear.

"Pretty good match isn't it, Vin?"

"Yeah, they are talented. Especially that girl."

"Huh, there's a girl?!"

"Yeah, the one who using hooded robe."

"That one?" , Sam said while pointing to the girl.

"Yes."

"Ahh, her hair huh...Your eyes are pretty good Vin."

The contestants from the 2nd part are all boys. One using saber, one using the sword, one boy doesn't use a weapon and the giant boy.
