An untimely rain hit the trees that had dried up during the winter. When everyone was asleep, Louise ran off the muddy ground. ‘Run away! ‘

Even though the strong rain was hitting her skin painfully, Louise continued to move forward. Her blonde hair, as yellow as honey, was soaked in the rain and had been dyed heavily.

The road Louise was running was a forest that the villagers did not even come close to because of the rumors of a ghost lingering there. An unmarried man who died became a ghost.

He has a handsome face and seduces women to fall from the valley.

But Louise didn’t care. It’s because she has recently come to the realization that people are scarier than ghosts.

Louise caught on to a dry tree stump and fell forward with a shriek. Pitt, a spiky branch brushed against Louise’s temple. It was so close to the eyes, making her spine run cold.

Her clothes were covered in mud and turned cloudy. Her palms and knees were sore. It was a miracle that she fell only after she had almost come out of the forest because she  was running blindly on a forest road without any lighting.

“Find, find! If you can’t find her, you’ll die!”

“You damn bitch! I’ll kill you if I find you!”

From afar, men’s angry shouts could be heard. There was also the sound of a hound barking in excitement.

If you get caught here, you will really die.

They’re not really going to kill her, but she’d rather die than marry an enemy of her parents.

“Are the dogs going this way?”

“Follow me. He said he can tolerate minor injuries.”

Their voices grew closer and closer. Frightened, Louise stood up from the tree that made her fall. “Huh-uh…” She can’t breathe the moment she gets up because of the sprain in her ankle.

There was enough pain to tell. Louise bit hard enough to make her lips white and forced herself to walk. Even though she was limping, the sight of her walking somehow made her tears fall.

This was the end of the forest. The castle of the lord was right in front of him. Louise hurried her steps, using a wet, thick branch as a substitute for a cane. Fortunately, the voices of those seeking her were getting farther and farther away.

Tak, Louise stepped on the well-prepared stone floor. As she took a step, the gray stone floor where Louise’s shoes had just stepped on was covered in thick mud. Each time the castle got closer, Louise’s heart pounded. If running away from them was the preliminary round, what happened after arriving at the castle was the final. Just like in the finals, the castle guards saw Louise in the shape of a beggar, and showed caution and took out their swords from the scabbard.
