Chapter 19: Zone 6: War Zone

"Return our young lady or die right here, right now!"

Back from when Dan and company arrived as well at the Wolf Village to chase after their young lady...

Dan's party was now threatening the other party who kidnapped their young lady. And as what his subordinates had said, two High Rankers were the ones who kidnapped the young lady.

Not only that, it seemed like the other party, the man and the beautiful lady, were pretty strong enough as well. Probably, stronger than himself. Dan was really astonished.

But what on Earth was with that old man?! Dan failed to measure the strength of the old man in the other party. Was that old man wore a divine item that could hide his strength? Or was that old man really that strong for him to be incapable of measuring his strength?! Dan hoped that the latter wasn't the case. Because if so, he knew that even with the five of them combining their strength, they would never be able to defeat such an opponent.

"You want to get your young lady?" The old man laughed coldly as he added with a mischievous grin, "Entertain this old man first."

After which was said, something like a shockwave exuded out from the old man rushing in all directions. And right after that, the surroundings turned dimmer. The sun then turned blood red in color as the surroundings were engulfed by a red hue because of the light coming from the sun.

"!"

"Z-zone 6?" Dan's party was alarmed. How could they not if they had just entered Zone 6, the so-called War Zone.

"Woah!!! War Zone!" On the other hand, Robert was delighted seeing that they had just entered the War Zone. This Greed Spirit before him really lived up to his name. He really was greedy!

In this world, there were nine parallel worlds. Namely Zone 1 to Zone 9. Zone 1 was the real world. On the other hand, Zone 2 to Zone 9 was an illusion world made and designed for convenience. Each world was similar to each others except for their effects.

For example, in Zone 1, everything was normal. But once they entered Zone 6, the surroundings would turn dimmer and a red hue made by the rays of the sun was everywhere. At night, the moon was red as well giving a red hue coming from the moonlight.

Not only that, in Zone 6, once people destroyed things here, everything would go back to what was supposed to be once they got out of this Zone. Not only that, once people were killed here, they would not die for real and only die in zone 6. After that, they would return to zone 1 with the experience of death remained intact in their heart and mind.

With that being said, people weren't afraid to go all out and destroy everything they could see if they decided to fight here. They weren't afraid to kill as well since they were not killing their opponent for real.

From that perspective, people called this zone, War Zone.

But to enter such a zone, one must use the item, [Zone 6 Ticket]. With that item, unless they were killed or they decided to exit the zone, they could enjoy the War Zone for an hour before they were automatically kicked out of the zone.

Knowing all of it, Dan, on the other hand, could tell that the old man before him used such an item. However, that only meant that the other party was eager to take something from them.

Dan's party gazed upwards and sure enough, the War Fairy had arrived. She descended from the sky and floated right in the middle of them. As if a referee going to watch over their duel.

The War Fairy was small and had only a height of two feet. Her skin was pale and she wore a face of a tyrant. Her wings were blood red in color and were somewhat transparent at that.

She grinned at all of them as she moved her right hand that was holding a wand. "What's the bet?" The War Fairy asked. Her voice was warm but at the same time, chilling. She spoke as if she welcomed all of them, but what she really wanted to see was a bloodbath.

Sure enough. As Dan had expected, this fairy was asking for a bet. It only meant that the old man and his party that they would face were confident in their strength to defeat them and take away their possessions.

At that moment, Dan's party raised their wariness to the highest level as they decided to not take the old man too lightly.

On the other hand, they saw the old man grinning. He opened his mouth and said leisurely, "I will use this young lady here as a bet."

"What did you say?!" Stella was angered. How could this old man use her as a bet?

The old man laughed at her before he said, "Don't worry missy, they won't be able to defeat me. Besides, even if they did, aren't you happy that you could finally go back to your family now?"

Stella gritted her teeth. Her fists were clenched very tightly. She knew that if she was used as a bet, and whichever team won the duel, her life wouldn't be in danger. But to use her as a bet? That was something she would never accept in her life. It was an utter disgrace!

But before she could even speak any more words to retort the old man before her, the War Fairy suddenly spoke, "Bet accepted!"

"What did you say?!" Stella gritted her teeth yet again. She didn't even agree to it, how could this mere fairy accept her as a bet?

"Haha, there's no turning back now missy." The old man laughed. But at the same time, he was surprised as well seeing that the War Fairy accepted that young lady as a bet. One must know that if anyone betted a person, the consent of the betted person was needed for the War Fairy to accept it.

The old man was just bluffing at first, but who would have thought that the War Fairy would immediately accept this young lady as a bet? That was very sudden. But of course, he didn't express his shock in front of everyone as he covered it with his laugh.

The old man then stared at Stella who was now glaring at him. How could this lady be accepted by the War Fairy as a bet just like that? Could it be that she was not a human but a...

The old man shook his head slowly as he crossed out that possibility he was thinking. Even in a million chance, that was impossible.

On the other hand, the beautiful lady stared at Stella as well suspiciously. A War Fairy could never be wrong in her judgment. And that War Fairy had just accepted Stella as a bet without the other party's consent. That only meant that this Stella was not a person. Just what was she? With that in mind, the beautiful lady decided to put more attention to Stella.

Only Robert didn't care if Stella was accepted as a bet or not. He didn't even know the significance of it. Besides, he rarely entered this War Zone to extort people. It was much better for him to rob people in the real world.

After some time, the War Fairy finally finished calculating the value of the bet of that old man. Everyone around was impatiently waiting for her to finish calculating already.

That being said, now that she raised her wand, everyone was excited to hear what was the value of Stella. Even Stella herself was curious about it.

So then, the War Fairy finally spoke, "Calculation complete... Party B needs a total price of 1 million diamonds to match the party A's bet."
