Chapter 33: Stealing The Ax

Wrathful Rat. Sakim mumbled the name of the boss monster. This Hidden Dungeon Boss really deserved its name, it really was easy to be angered.

But knowing that he was in the middle of a battle, Sakim knew that he shouldn't think of anything else other than the battle itself. After all, his life was on the line here.

That said, as the Wrathful Rat was furiously rushing at him, Sakim sent another batch of Go Die. There were five of them now. In fact, he wanted to send more Go Die towards the other party but who would have thought that this boss monster would give him something horrifying.

When the five consecutive Go Die skills that Sakim had sent towards Wrathful Rat were about to hit it, the other party suddenly swung its huge ax horizontally trying to greet the incoming attack. Wind blade then soon followed to welcome the attack.

What was more was that after the wind blade hit the five little balls of blood, its existence was being erased as the wind blade continue its way to greet Sakim as well.

Sakim's heart skipped a beat seeing the incoming attack. He quickly bent backward trying to dodge the furious wind blade. He was just lucky enough that even with hairbreadth, he still managed to dodge it. Even so, it still resulted in him losing his balance as he fell with his ass on the ground.

Crash!

Even though the wind blade didn't hit Sakim, it still made huge damage to the chamber. The place where Sakim had bumped into after a long rolling he had suffered a while ago, had now a huge and long horizontal line caused by that wind blade alone.

What the... Sakim took a moment of look behind him only to see the terrifying sight. His eyes couldn't help but widen. If that attack hit him, could he still survive? Sakim swallowed a mouthful of saliva as he thought that perhaps, not. He would definitely be cut into two if that wind blade hit him.

But then, Sakim was still terrified from the sudden occurrence when he suddenly felt a chill. He hurriedly shifted his gaze in his front as he didn't think anymore and quickly rolled to the side. How could he not if the Wrathful Rat he was fighting was already brandishing its huge ax against him while he was looking away? The other party didn't even bother warning him as it gave him another furious attack. Just when did this boss monster close its distance from him anyway?

After rolling frantically, another loud thud soon followed accompanied by another crater. At that moment, Sakim could only think about one thing. Sure enough, a lion would always give its all even when attacking a lamb. And this Wrathful Rat was just like a lion who wanted to eat him already. Just by the thought of it could only make Sakim swallow another mouthful of saliva. This boss monster was really treating him as no more than a prey!

But Sakim wouldn't allow something like that. He would never accept being the prey. After all, he was made for greatness that meant to stand on the very top of this world.

But what should he do now? His Go Die skill seemed to not be able to work against his opponent anymore especially when the other party had already seen through it. The pattern of his Go Die skill was just too simple and direct so even Sakim could agree that it was easy to figure out how to deal with it.

Even if he used the Go Die skill multiple times, Sakim felt that the other party would only deflect all of it as his mana would only be wasted just like that. It really would be a huge pity if something like that would happen to him.

Sakim needed to land one but fatal attack. He needed a stronger skill. If possible, a skill that could kill this monster boss in just a single hit.

At that moment, however, Sakim suddenly thought of something. He remembered that he had still the item [Wrath Of Heaven] under his sleeve as his trump card. If he used it now, then perhaps, with its ten thousand attack damage, he could kill this Hidden Dungeon Boss, right?

But no way! Sakim shook his head as he refused that thought. Although he was in a tough position, he wasn't that desperate to win in his fight against this Wrathful Rat. After all, although it was a little bit, he could still deal damage against the other party. Why would he use his trump card if his life was still not in danger that much? With his many healing items, he could just use it all if in case that he suffered another furious attack. Until then, until he had no more healing items he could rely on, then perhaps, that was the time for him to use his trump card. As of now, Sakim decided that he should try his best to hold himself back on using his trump card.

Should he just steal the other party's life then? Sakim suddenly thought about it. But then, he could only shake his head as the possibility of him touching that Wrathful Rat was pretty slim. With its huge ax, Sakim felt that with his low Agility stat, he might get being smashed into a meat paste before he could even touch its furs. Just by the thought of it could only make him shiver.

Just what should he do now? Steal the Ax?

Wait.

Steal the Ax? Sakim suddenly had enlightenment. If this ax was on his way for victory, then why could he not still this ax itself? He just needed to simply touch it and the job would be done.

But of course, he wouldn't be so foolish enough to try catching this ax if its blade was sent towards him. He might even die before he could take any action.

But there was a way on how he could touch it of course. Whenever the Wrathful Rat attacked him with its ax, and when that ax hit the ground, Sakim saw that there was a moment of pause before the other party could lift the ax again.

If Sakim could just grab that chance, that precious moment of pause, then surely, he could touch that ax and then steal it right away, right?

With that in mind, Sakim couldn't help but smirk. Although there was also the shockwave that could push him away whenever the other party's attack hit the ground, Sakim felt that if he hurried himself to get back up, he could rush towards the ax and then close his distance on it in that moment of pause he wanted to grab.

And then if this thought was done in succession, stealing the ax wouldn't be a problem anymore. Sakim could only nod his head slowly just thinking about it.

As of now, he was sitting on the floor with both his hands on the ground trying to support his upper body. He was gazing at the Wrathful Rat that was only standing at a certain distance away from him and was staring at him as well with its ax hanged on its shoulder.

"You... Good reaction..." The Wrathful Rat remarked nonchalantly. After a moment of pause, it added, "But... You... Still... Die..."

After saying those words with as if great difficulty, the Wrathful Rat then finally ran towards Sakim as its heavy footsteps made a couple of loud thuds. In every stride it made, Sakim felt the ground vibrating. But even so, instead of fear, what he felt right now was excitement.

This is it! The moment when he would steal the ax was now about to come. Sakim only needed to be more careful and try his best to dodge again the incoming attack this time.
