Chapter 35: Sakim Died?

Meanwhile, Sakim, who was thrown away and was now sitting and leaning against the side of the chamber where he crashed into, was delighted even though he suffered some damage because of it. How could he not if he had just managed to steal most of the HP of the Wrathful Rat?

It was just a pity that he couldn't steal all of its HP. If it was only the case, then he wouldn't have any trouble dealing with this monster boss anymore.

Even so, with the other party's remaining HP, Sakim was now more than sure that he could defeat it sooner or later. Sakim took a moment of look at the Wrathful Rat's Status window as he couldn't help but smile a bit.

[Wrathful Rat]

Rank: Magic

Level: 6

HP: 1,234 | 10,000

Seven thousand HP! Sakim was elated seeing that he had stolen the HP of the Wrathful Rat that much in just a short moment.

Adding the attack damage of the Go Die skill that hit the Wrathful Rat in succession four times, it only had a thousand HP left in it now. This really was good news for him.

But even so, Sakim couldn't be so complacent with just this. He knew full well how strong this Hidden Dungeon Boss really was. If he ever let his guard down, the other party might have an epic comeback and then defeat him instead.

With that in mind, Sakim stood up from the ground to face the Hidden Dungeon Boss and claim its remaining HP already. He knew that even though it was only a thousand HP, this would still be a tough battle.

Thus, he was prepared to suffer another furious attack as he prepared himself as well to give a finishing blow against the other party.

"Your... Greed... Energy..." However, just after he stood up, Sakim suddenly heard the Wrathful Rat speaking again of which he found it standing at a distance away from him. After a moment, the Wrathful Rat continued speaking again accompanied by its blazing eye, "Will... Mine..."

Sakim was taken aback when he heard those words. What Greed Energy? What were the other party talking about now? Even with the knowledge he received before regarding the System and this world, he was certain that no Greed Energy was ever mentioned.

"What are you talking about?" Helpless, Sakim could only ask the other party with slightly knitted eyebrows.

At that time, however, Sakim didn't know when did the other party get it but the Wrathful Rat was now already holding its huge ax. It was then again hanged on its shoulder as an aura of hostility was being exuded out from it.

It appeared that this monster boss was now wary against his passive skill: Greed. Sakim could only feel a bit disappointed. He could see that from now on, he would have trouble making use of this passive skill as that ax would now obstruct his way again for the victory.

Should he continue his plan of stealing the ax again? Sakim felt that it was the only plausible solution he could think of at the moment.

But then, on other hand, the Wrathful Rat didn't even bother replying to Sakim as it rushed towards him faster than the wind.

Sakim widened his eyes in shock. This was way too fast. How could its huge body move like that?

But before Sakim could get even more astonished, the other party had already closed its distance towards him. After which, it didn't waste any seconds as it quickly brandished its huge ax against him.

Sakim tried to back away to dodge the incoming attack. But to his horror, he suddenly found himself only bumping on the side of the chamber. What the heck! Only then did he recall that he was currently at the very side of the chamber as there was nowhere for him to run into. He was now completely cornered!

Sakim wanted to cry. Was this really the end for him? How could his journey so short and end just like that? But before he could get even more scared, the very edge of the huge ax had finally hit him and then cut through his flesh. Wounds then lined from his upper body down to the bottom.

Blood squirted from the huge wound. Blood spurted out from his mouth.

But the onslaught didn't end there as a strong shockwave soon followed. With a blown away effect from that attack, the shockwave still tried to push him back as the side of the chamber he had bumped into was now forming many cracks.

HP: 123 | 8,360

"!"

When Sakim saw his health bar, he almost died in shock. How could he not if that Hidden Dungeon Boss only left him a sliver of his HP?

Sakim hurriedly used his two remaining [Healing Leaves] afraid that the other party would flick his forehead and then die as a result. Not only that, but he had also used 60 [Cave Rat HP] to replenish his HP as soon as possible. Sakim was just really thankful that he could use them simultaneously as he willed. With that, he had a lot less trouble to deal with. He was just thankful as well that he had so many healing items under his pocket.

On the other hand, seeing that his dying prey had immediately recovered his health, the Wrathful Rat was taken aback before frustrations took over its mind. Veins popped out all over its body as its grip towards the handle of the ax became even tighter. Because it knew full well that its attack had just become useless when the other party used healing items.

Yet, to its surprise, when the Wrathful Rat was about to raise its huge ax so that it could end the life of the other party in one hit, it suddenly found its ax vanishing without a trace. Its eye widened in confusion before its gaze finally landed on Sakim.

What it saw was that the other party was raising his hand forward. The grin on his face was just too annoying that the Wrathful Rat couldn't bear with it anymore.

With that being said, and upon knowing as well what had very likely happened to its weapon that just suddenly vanished, the Wrathful Rat exuded out a terrifying aura as a heavy pressure had even engulfed the surroundings. Its killing intent was just too strong that even Sakim felt that his neck was being stabbed by countless thorns.

With that being said, no more smile could be found on Sakim's lips anymore as it turned into worry. Although his HP bar was now almost full after he used many healing items, he felt that if the other party attacked him now, his entire HP couldn't be enough to endure it.

Was this really the end of him? Sakim had a sudden grim thought about it. But then, he was still worrying about what to do when the other party had already made a move.

Long and sharp claws then sprouted out from the Wrathful Rat's right fingers. Not long after that, it raised its right hand as it was now ready to make a move at any moment.

"This... Your... End..." The Wrathful Rat didn't ask for the other party's last word but it gave him its last words instead. After which, it finally swung its hand with sharp claws against Sakim.

It was as if the air or the space around was being torn apart, five wind blades were sent towards Sakim. It then mercilessly cut through his flesh as his blood splattered around.

HP: 0 | 8,360

But who would have thought that that attack would really cause him all of his HP? This was really the end. Sakim could only think about it before he finally breathed his last.
