"It's a deal."

The taxi driver had a pleased smile when he heard Divine's reply. He could not help but imagine the large amount of value points and other benefits he would get if he could successfully accomplish the mission given to him by his boss.

Not only would he not have to worry about paying his rent for at least six months, but he would also have enough money to live in luxury… for a short period of time, though.

The promised rewards almost made him drool in anticipation, and he wanted nothing more than to finish his mission quickly.

As the taxi driver had all these thoughts, there was another individual with a different idea when he heard Divine's reply- Corey.

Corey's light blue and deep violet eyes flashed with a calculating glint as he subtly gazed at Divine.

His mind went through the sensation he felt a few seconds back, and he stroked his beardless chin.

'His luck reduced?'

The instant Divine agreed to make a deal with the taxi driver, Corey perceived a change in the karmic luck of Divine.

The change was minute, and Corey instinctively knew it was a reduction. But, the reduction could be likened to using a cup to take water out of an ocean.

Highly insignificant and minute.

Although Corey knew the amount of karmic luck deducted from Divine was little, Corey was still curious, interested, and a little bit surprised by this.

It was surprising to him that Divine's decision to make a deal with the taxi driver would most likely result in him getting some kind of benefit and that the heavens decided to interfere with something as simple as this.

'Or maybe the deduction in his karmic luck is so that his safety would be guaranteed?'

Corey thought, but his instincts told him that was probably not the case.

If the heavens had to deduct Divine's karmic luck to guarantee his safety, that meant the situation they were probably going to get themselves into was not safe at all.

Even for him.

Corey did not know if the heavens played favorites. However, he had a feeling it did since there were beings like Divine who were known as The Children of Heaven.

If the heavens played favorites, Corey just hoped they didn't play favorites with him, especially in his current situation.

Corey did not even want to think of what his fate would be if the reason why Divine's luck was deducted were so that he could escape from the central area safely.

If that was the main reason, and he didn't have any karmic luck reduction, there was a possibility he would be in trouble.

'Or maybe I'm just overthinking it?'

Corey rubbed the middle of his brows with a frustrated expression, and he could not help but curse in his mind.

'I wish Nina and the Paragon Ancestor would just give me information about Hell, Heaven, and whatnot.'

'So fucking stressful.'

Corey released a tired sigh, and just as he did, Divine spoke:

"So how are you going to get us out of the Central Area?"

Divine glanced at the side mirror to his right before shifting his gaze back to the taxi driver.

"People have been watching our movement from the moment we left the central hub. They know we entered your cab, which means we can't leave your cab without attracting their attention. Nor can you drive to just any place without attracting their attention."

Divine pointed out the main problem they were going to face if the taxi driver wanted to actually secure a safe route for the two of them to escape the central area.

Divine was extremely curious as to how the taxi driver planned on making them escape the central area.

Although, if he wanted, he could actually find a way to escape the central area. Though, he could only escape if he was alone.

This was also one of the reasons why he told Corey he could leave the central area without him.

"Did you really think I wouldn't think that far ahead?"

The taxi driver chuckled, and with a smile, he pressed a button on the dashboard.

Divine and Corey raised their brows seeing his action, but a second later, their eyes widened when they saw a hole slowly form in the center of the bottom of the car.

Not only did a hole form at the bottom of the car, a hole of the same size also formed on the ground beneath the vehicle.

"We have made preparations to make sure you're able to escape the central area of the city of sin safely. So if you will please."

The taxi driver gestured to the hole, and Divine glanced at the taxi driver, then the hole, then Corey.

"Ladies first."

Divine said with a smile, and Corey's right eye twitched.

"Rosa will teach you a lesson when we meet."

Corey said emotionlessly, and Divine felt a chill creep up his spine when he heard Corey's words. He had forgotten Rosa's ruthless nature and also how obsessed she was when it came to Corey.

If Corey desired, he could tell Rosa to cause him so much harm, and she would not hesitate to do harm to him.

'That girl has no respect for me even though I'm the leader.'

Divine thought with a sigh, then he shook his head. He observed the hole, and as he did, he noticed a transparent slide that stretched down to depths unknown.

Without saying a word he entered the hole, and with a woosh, he went down the slide.

Corey glanced at the hole, and then he glanced at the taxi driver.

The taxi driver indifferently gestured to the hole, and Corey looked at the shoulder of his outstretched arm for a few seconds. Without a word, he entered the hole.

The taxi driver looked around, then he pressed a button, and a sound resounded in the car.

[AUTO-PILOT MODE ACTIVATED.]

The taxi driver looked around one more time, then he entered the hole.

A few seconds later, the two holes closed, then the car started its ignition and drove off.
