Sol Vestitor: New Age of God

Sol got to the arrow without a hitch, he could see clearly that it was an arrow with its arrowhead stabbing into the ground.

What shocked him was it's only an inch into the rock, the Demigod tried very hard to pull it out while it was just an inch deep.

Sol grabbed it with a single arm while he was still proning on the rocky ground, when he pulled it, the arrow did not move a single bit as if there was something holding it to the ground.

He ends up standing on both feet, risking the Demigod to notice him, he used both hands on the arrow but the result was the same.

"Fuck! It's stuck!" Sol cursed as he tried to pull it with all his strength.

Sol's arm muscle bulge and he started to sweat but there was no movement from the arrow, he almost shit himself trying to pull it, but it was a futile endeavor.

"What the fuck is this arrow?! Is this some kind of godly hammer that I need to be worthy to use it or something?" He complained as he threw a glance at the Demigod from time to time.

Blacky's condition was not great either, He got beaten faster and faster that his regeneration was barely able to keep up with it.

The fire burning on his body was getting dimmer and dimmer as every clash would eat up the oil on the hellhound body.

Frozen oil could be seen all around, as every clash the Demigod inflict on the hellhound body would make the oil on its body frozen solid in a matter of seconds.

On the other hand, Moon was doing great, with the help of Miya and the other, the Yetis was beaten back as they could not overcome the wolf's regeneration.

Sol could see the Yetis turned red from all the blood they lost, their movement was sluggish as they lost too much blood.

After checking on everyone, Sol continued to pull the arrow to no end as it would not move, he was fighting against time as Blacky could not keep the Demigod occupied forever.

Suddenly he had the smartest idea he had ever had in his life, "Even the strongest door, depend on the wall it was attached to!"

He pulled out his knife and slashed it at the rocky ground that holds the arrow in place, with a few swing, the arrow got successfully freed and it fell to the side.

"Haha!" Sol laughed in amusement as it was easier than he had thought.

But his laugh was destined to be a disappointment as he could not lift the arrow from the ground, there was no difference between when it current position or when it was stuck on the rock, Sol could not move it even an inch.

When it falls to the ground, the arrow did not make any sign that it was heavy, then there must be another reason for him being unable to lift it.

Sol even resorted to begging at the arrow in case it was sentient, "Mr. Arrow, please let me use you, I will do anything you want if you let me use you" he begged but it was useless as well.

"Fuck! I refuse to believe that I can not lift this thing" Sol cursed at the arrow.

Sol back to using brute force to lift the arrow but he still could not lift it, "I need to get stronger like that time!" Sol concluded.

He tried to simulate the feeling he felt when he beheaded the Yeti but he could not get the hang of it, he could feel electricity start to form around his body but it disintegrates the next moment.

He had one foot kneeling on the ground, trying to pull the arrow up when Blacky giant body crash right next to him.

The hellhound was bleeding all over and its size had decreased by half as the fire around it dim, the next moment Sol could hear the Demigod angry roar as it notices him trying to take the arrow.

"Fuck!" Sol cursed as he tried his best to simulate the burst of strength he had before, the sense of urgency grows as the Demigod get near.

An aura of lightning start to form around him and the arrow move a bit but it suddenly vanishes as Sol failed to keep the power he gathered.

Blacky got up and ran at the Demigod, trying to stop it only to be swatted aside with a single hand by the Demigod.

The giant Yeti reach out his hand at Sol while running at him, Sol looked at the giant arm in horror as he tried his best to pull the arrow up.

The Demigod was only a few meters away then he finally felt like a wall break inside him and purple lightning start to appear around his body.

Sol tried his best to raise the arrow up and aim it at the Demigod, it was the heaviest arrow he had ever hold and at that time he realized something.

"Fuck! I don't have a bow!" Sol was panicked, the Demigod was almost upon him.

Its hand was less than a meter away from him when Sol reflexively threw the arrow like a javelin at Demigod.

The throw was very weak as he barely had enough power to lift the arrow, normally it would just bounce back when it touched the Demigod's durable body but the arrow did not bounce not stopped when it touches the Demigod's body.

Sol had thrown the arrow at the Demigod's head but his aim was far from accurate as he was panicked.

The arrow would have missed its head by a wide margin but suddenly it turned to where it was aimed to hit.

When the arrow touched its target, it pierces through it like a hot knife through butter, the Demigod staggered back a few steps and fell on its back with a BOOM.

The Bronze arrow was not a normal arrow but one of Apollo's twenty bronze arrows, other than the golden bow and silver quiver, the former Sun God also known to have a set of twenty bronze arrow.

Apollo's arrow had the reputation of never miss its target, it would hit its target whether they like it or not.

Sol fell to his back as a familiar sense of weakness envelop his body, but the sense of weakness was stronger than before, he could not hold his ground anymore.

"Thank God! That was close," Sol looked at the sky as he lay on the ground weakly.

He wanted to drink a vial of Moon's blood to stabilize his condition but he could not as he had given ever vial to Miya so she could keep up with the Yetis.

At his current speed of recovery, he estimates that he would not be able to fight for two hours after the used the purple lightning, Sol decides to name the ability Limit Break.

The limit break was as its name indicates, it breaks through one limit and uses every hidden strength in the user body to enhance their ability for a short duration in exchange for exhausting oneself.

For half an hour, Sol could only look at the sky as everyone else fight until they finished the rest of the Yetis.

With the help of Blacky, Moon was able to finish the rest of the Yetis with ease, Blacky still had some flame around his body and it was enough to make him a force to be reconned with, at leat it was no weaker than Moon.

Both Undying canine in the end by using their endurance against their weakening enemy, as time went on their fight grew easier.

When there was no more Yeti standing, Miya went to Sol to help him up, He told her to get him to the Demigod's body as he wanted to check if it really died from the arrow.

To his horror, The Demigod was not dead, it had a hole on its head, the arrow had pierced through its brain stem rendering it motionless but the wound was healing at a visible rate.

For a mortal, such a wound would have killed them thousand times over but the Demigod survived from it.

"Moon, Blacky, Kill this thing!" he weakly ordered to both canine as he was in no situation to swing his blade.

Both of them tried to attack it with their all but they were not able to hurt the Yeti's durable body, at most Moon could slow the Demigod's healing.

At an hour mark from Sol used the limit break ability, Sol regains his ability to stand on his own, He had found the bronze arrow but it would need more than a day of recovery for him to be able to use limit break again.

In the end, Sol used his knife to repeatedly cut at the Demigod's neck, It was glaring at him as if trying to kill him with its stare.

The Demigod could only watch in horror as Sol behead it, it took Sol an hour and a half to finish the job.
