Ding Ding Ding

Sounds of metal hitting each other can be heard at the outskirt of the mountain. Sol keeps trying to behead the snake to no avail.

Sol left arm is still being strangled by the snake, but he keeps his grip on its head. His right arm is numb from his repeated swing.

The snake isn't hurt but definitely pissed off by him. It hiss a lot and keep tightening its grip, Sol can't help but screams in pain,

"Akkhhh.."

Sol had tried everything, bashing its skull with a rock, shot it with his rifle, suffocate it under the snow, but none works.

"Akkkhhh...."

On the bright side, he discovers that he can cool down it burning hot scales with the snow, even though its grip is still pain full and it's only about time before his hand gets broken, but every little bit helps. Without the burning pain, he has more time to think of a solution.

"AAAkkhhhh..."

Sol still bashing its head on the snow when his screams finally attract the attention of another creature.

From up the mountain, come a Wereboar holding on a tree trunk in one hand, most likely it uses that as a club.

The wereboar has a bulky humanoid body with a lot of fur on its chest and arms that make it look even bigger. It has a boar head and a big tusk that protrude out of its mouth. Its feet look exactly like an animal foot, but it can stand on its two feet.

Spotting Sol, It stops on its track cautiously. It looks around checking if there is another creature nearby, after confirming that there is no one nearby it laugh.

"HAHAHAHA. Looks like it's just an injured animal, I'm so lucky to get a free shard" it talks to itself.

"Stop!! what are you doing?" Sol holds his scream and shouts at it. "I can't believe that I am talking to this thing" deep in his heart he sulks.

"HAHAHAHAHA I will kill you and take your shards, that way I can be stronger" It looks happy that it become so talkative.

"Looks like my guess about the shards is correct, we can plunder another being shards by killing the owner"

"If that so then how strong is this snake?" Sol heart jump. This snake that he struggles with has eaten a lot of creatures ever since he met with it.

"Enough talking, it's time for you to die. HAHAHAHA"

It runs at him and swings its club down to bash his head. Sol can feel his skin tingling from dread, he jumps back to dodge.

Sol has an easy time dodge the sluggish blow, but his breaking left arm gives him a more pressing situation.

While its blow was slow, it's power is no joke. With a single swing, it blows all the snow up while the wind generated by it pushes Sol back a few meters.

While its blow had done close to zero damage to him, it makes the curtain in his left-hand swing backward and exposes the snakehead to the outside world.

"shit!!" sol panic but before he has time to cover it again, the snow settles down.

The boar about to rush at him but it suddenly stops as if its body had turned into stone.

"Chance!!" Sol tries to hold his left hand, while his right-hand pulls out his knife and swings the knife at its neck.

His knife makes a deep gash on its neck but fails to behead it completely. Sol swings his knife repeatedly until it's head roll on the ground.

The warm current comes again, it flows from his knife to his body. This time he can feel that his body becoming a little bit stronger and his left-hand feels a little less pressure.

"looks like the plundered shard take its last owner attribute as it base attribute"

"if I can make use of the snake to kill some more creature that excels in strength then maybe I can finally be free from its grasp" Sol muse.

"Akkhhh.." The snake's grip tightens.

"looks like I need to be fast or it will break my arm before I find another creature"

Sol's breathing is unstable but he doesn't have much time to rest so he runs up the mountain to find another creature.

"OWW... HELP... helppp" Sol shout to attract more creature.

Not long after Sol starts his hunt, another creature comes his way. It's a birdman, it doesn't look that much different than a bird other than it's human size body.

"Wa.." It about to talk when Sol opens the snake's cover and it can't continue its words.

Sol decapitate it as fast as possible and continue his hunt.

Sol's body is smeared with the blood but he doesn't care, what he cares about is how many he can kill before the snake breaks his arm and eat him.

Sol has turned from the bottom of the food chain to the peak of it with the snake's power. He runs around the mountain and kills anything he met.

Even then Sol knows that it just a borrowed strength, without it any creature can easily kill him.

Lucky for him the snake has got smaller, if it still the giant snake from last night he won't be able to hold it down.

"it's getting stronger" sol notice that the snake is getting stronger as well, looks like it about to go out of its weakened state after its evolution.
