Sorcha Knight In The City

Chapter 46 - Save her

Marion was standing in front of the military base's gate with an ugly look on his face. He has been waiting for around ten minutes here for his friend Ryan. They've agreed to meet each other here at exactly six in the evening so he could meet Ryan's chosen student to join the military, but the two haven't arrived yet.

Ryan has been boasting about how much potential the kid he chose have. Because of his excessive praises towards him, his interest was piqued, and so he told him that he wanted to meet this student who caught his best friend's eyes.

Before his patience ran out, he fished out his phone from his pocket and dialed his number. He called for two times, without the other picking up the phone. Finally, on his third try, he was able to connect to his friend.

"Where are you?" He directly said.

"This.. we were about to go there when something happened. I'm sorry, I think it is no longer possible for us to come." Ryan said on the other line. His voice didn't contain the usual calm and gentle tone.

Marion raised his brow. "Oh. What could possibly happen?" He asked.

He heard Ryan sigh and then said, "Someone wanted to kidnap Sorcha Barrons. Her friend managed to escape and told me about it. We don't know what's happening now. We're still waiting for help."

Marion froze instantly. As if the time stopped, he just stayed unmoving at where he stands. 'Someone wants to kidnap her.' he repeated in his mind.

"Hello?" When Ryan didn't hear Marion reply, he called, "Are you still there?"

His friend's voice woke him up from his thoughts and he finally digested that information. 'Sorcha is in danger!' he exclaimed in his heart.

With an anxious tone he asked, "Where are you?"

"Why? You want to come here?" Ryan answered.

Irritated with the useless question Ryan asked, he said with a forceful tone, "I. Said.. Where. Are. You?!"

Ryan on the other side was shocked at his sudden shout and blurted out, "the abandoned block, a kilometer away from the high school."

He drove his car fastly. With every red light, he'd smash his hand at the car's horn. The image of Sorcha's face keeps on popping up in his mind making him even more worried.

'Faster, Go faster!' he complained inwardly. His face becoming darker and darker, like the night sky above.
