Sorry, I don't play poker on luck

The 2nd anniversary of Cube Card will be updated tomorrow

How time flies, Cube is two years old.

On June 30, 2021, Chapter 100 [Red Dragon Beast Lord] of "I'm Super Calm with Bosses", the first cube card came out.

The cube card is named after the word "light cube" in that book.

After all, it's the 2nd anniversary, so I feel a little bit emotional.

Next, let’s talk about the story of the cube cards. It may be messy to write wherever you think of it.

To be honest, I didn't expect to write a book dedicated to poker in the future.

At that time, it was purely an idea, just wanting to play the meme of Gwent cards.

As for the Gwent card itself, I haven't played it.

I haven't played Yu-Gi-Oh, and I don't understand the rules of Yu-Gi-Oh. Except for Qinglong's white eyes, other memes about Yu-Gi-Oh can only be understood by reading comments from book friends and then going to Baidu.

I have played Hearthstone for more than a month, so I may be able to get started.

At that time, I made a few sets of priest decks I created, but I kept losing so I stopped playing.

Because every time I PK with someone, I can't draw my countermeasure card, so I can't beat the opponent.

That's right, I was the one who said the bad luck in poker.

This is true for any cards, even if you play mahjong, you can lose 9.9 out of 10 games.

So I was thinking, can I have a relatively fair card game, and try to get rid of luck.

Although I know that minimizing the interference component of luck may lead to a dramatic reduction in the unexpectedness of the game.

But I'm even more upset when I lose because of bad luck.

How can we make the game relatively fair?

Get rid of the difference between first and second hands, get rid of the probability factor, and don't mix the mustache factor, this is the answer I thought of.

Then, the concept of both sides folding their cards, revealing their cards and replacing their cards was derived.

When it comes to the concept of folding cards, it refers to the military flag.

If you have to say what kind of chess and cards the cube tiles refer to, then the most influential one is the military flag.

When I wrote the second book "I can foresee the future, I just want to spawn monsters", the general framework of the cube card has been fixed.

It is said that practice is the way to test, and some things must go through the game design again and again before the problem can be found.

And I continued to slowly improve the rules by writing many games in the book "Future".

But at the end of the day, there are still many things about the cube that haven't reached the level of completeness that I am satisfied with.

In addition, at that time, I wanted to write a book about beasts for the straw man, and I came up with "This Summoner is Outrageous".

Writing about playing cards in the book "Summoner" was actually criticized by many readers at the time.

Because there are still many people who don't like to watch poker games, but I just ignore it.

It can be said that half of the writing of "Summoner" is for the straw man, and the other half is to continue to improve the cube cards.

I believe that friends who have read it know that in the later period of "Summoner", I wrote more space and games on cube cards, and updated the rules of cube cards every now and then.

Anyway, the results of that book at that time were not expected at all, as the nourishment of cube cards, finalizing all the rules of playing cards before the end is considered to be the completion of the task.

Up to the current book, you can see that I have basically not modified the rules.

Although there is no achievement yet, I can still proudly say: I have designed a relatively complete, relatively balanced, and loved card game by myself.

Let me talk about the update issue that everyone cares about.

This book was released on May 4th. I believe those who pay attention have noticed that starting from May 21st, my daily update of the second chapter has become unstable.

The reason is simple, the archives are exhausted.

Writing about such niche subjects is really thankless.

I need to design each game and each card from various starting points such as balance, rigor, rationality, logic, and ups and downs.

The various designs and data calculations involved in it are a very heavy burden on the brain.

Only after I have written it do I know that compared to general web articles, it is really difficult to write rigorous data flow playing cards.

The most frustrating thing is: Sometimes when I wrote the last few rounds, I found that the opponent's deck was designed too strong, resulting in the protagonist's winning rate being completely 0%.

At this time, you have to start from the first round, re-modify one stat one by one, and even redesign a deck that is not so imba for the opponent.

Equivalent to rewriting.

So sometimes, it is inevitable that there will still be calculation errors or deviations in some details.

Just let me know if you find it, and I will change it as soon as possible. (VIP chapters published more than 1 week ago cannot be changed without permission)

In short, it has been nearly two months now, and I am really tired and haggard.

Riwan is already my limit.

Often I can’t open my eyes while typing. If I force myself to continue typing, I will sit in front of the computer and fall asleep uncontrollably, and I won’t wake up until half an hour to an hour.

Looking at the almost negligible increase in grades, coupled with the recent frequent hearing of web writers or friends around them dying young.

Thinking about myself, from the beginning of "BOSS" to the present, I have been writing for two years and two months without a day, and I am somewhat afraid.

So for the sake of your health, save your life.

Later, I decided to rest one or two days a week depending on the situation.

Rest = one more.

But tomorrow, I'm going to explode more to celebrate.

So I decided to make an update.

Finally, let me talk about Fang Fang's 2-year-old wish list:

1. I hope that one day I can play the real cube game

2. I hope the grades of this book can improve a little bit, don't continue to pounce on it

Just sauce.
