Soul Trader

Chapter 20 - What can you offer me

After couple minutes passed girls finished their discussion and turned toward me.

"Okay, we decided what to offer." Said Sasha as she looked at me seriously.

"Oh, I'm all ears, please do tell."

"We will become your slaves for a month if you spare us." She slowly spoke while her face scrunched up.

"Oh interesting proposal, but do you think it's enough to keep your lives? Mia is my little sister so making her do some things for me isn't impossible even if she isn't my slave, you two on the other hand… You are far too weak to be of any use to me, so convince me why should I accept that proposal." I spoke as yet again I smile wickedly.

"How about we pay you to keep our lives?"

"I currently have 79 gold and 27 copper coins, I could be considered filthy rich by normal player standards, and how exactly did you want to pay me again?" I must admit I love this game, I mean they look so cute when they are trying to concentrate and be serious.

"What if we pay you with our bodies?" She asked with her head down and face flushed red.

"Cough, cough, what did you say just now? I hope I misheard you." Ohmygod this girl will give me a heart attack for sure.

"I said what if we paid you…" She tried repeating but Diane interrupted her.

"Sasha stop, big brother will you please stop teasing us, just tell us what you want and we can get this over." Diane said as she looked at me seriously.

"Fine, finally someone smart, okay three of you tell me now, how probable is for you to convince Sasha's sister to do something she doesn't want to?" I should get to the point before more misunderstanding pop up.

"Something she doesn't want to do? Like offer her body to you?" Asked Mia as she looked at me confusedly.

"No silly, do I look like a lecherous bastard to you?"

"Yes." They all responded in unison, damn that hurt.

"Well I'm not, NOT!"

"Then tell us what do you want her to do exactly before we answer you."

"I want her to sign a merchant contract with me, she and her guild will sell me and only me all of their excess gear and materials, and they will promote my name as a merchant, for everything they want to buy they will first inquire with me before they look elsewhere."

"That's it? God you had us scared for nothing, we can convince her do that, it will be even easier if you join her guild, then you will be their exclusive guild trader." Answered Sasha.

"Not possible, I will have my own guild later and I have my own studio, which I believe Mia already told you considering how big of blabbermouth she is."

"Hey who are you calling blabbermouth you big oaf." Mia yelled angrily.

"Mia keep quiet we are negotiating now." Spoke Sasha.

"Tsk, fine… Big oaf petty brother." She mumbled.

"Mia you already forgot which word put you into this situation, now add to my previous condition another one, you three are free to join any guild before I create my own guild, after which you must leave and join my guild, no excuses allowed."

"God Mia seriously stop with it, you can see he hates being called petty." Said Sasha.

"Say that word one more time you three will be going to slave market as first grade merchandise." I spoke as my face scrunched up into frown, I really do hate that word, and I'm not even petty…

"Slave market?" Asked Diane with confused look.

"Yes, you see this kingdom allows slavery and there is slave market in the city where you can buy or sell slaves, you three would turn out as premium goods and some lecherous rich guy might want to buy you for some big bucks."

"Slavery huh, so it's allowed here… But I doubt you would've sold your sister as a slave."

"Why not, this is just a game, if she doesn't want to be a slave she can just stop playing this game."

"You are so ruthless even toward your sister." Spoke Sasha disappointedly.

"Even saints have their limits, and I am no saint, not to mention you have been pushing my limit over and over again."

"Fine, I will agree with helping you with my sister's trading stuff, and we will agree to joining your guild once you create one, it doesn't really matter to us which guild we belong to as long as we are together, any more ridiculous requests?"

"Once I create my guild your sister's guild will become allied with my guild."

"That would depend on potential of your guild."

"Oh trust me every other guild would pay huge price just to be allied with my guild."

"You seem overly confident again, I wonder where does all that confidence come from, do you perhaps know something we don't?"

"Of course, as merchant I must know what other party wishes and yearns for and I must know their limits so I can push those limits as far as I can."

"So profit is only thing that interests you?"

"Nope, profit is just the pleasant side effect."

"Then what is that which you yearn for, you keep promoting yourself as a merchant but profit is just side benefit for you, which is absurd to any other merchant so I'm really interested in what is that you seek."

"Profit means nothing if I'm not alive to spend it, to be alive long enough to spend all that gold I need to be strong enough, I have knowledge on how to obtain that strength, I just don't have the means of obtaining it, that's where you three get to shine."

"So you want to use our strength to secure you?"

"What? No, that's absurd, no one wants to live under the cover of a skirt at that includes me, you three will just help me acquire more connections, first one is your sister, but she's far from the last."
