Su Household

Su Ruoyan's Room

September 14th, 20XX

The day after her birthday party Su Ruoyan told her parents about meeting Mu Zhao Yun. She purposefully left out her encounter with Mu Fan Xie, hoping her parents wouldn't have Wu Qianli bring him over. Of course, she knew that it was inevitable that Wu Qianli would bring Mu Fan Xie along, after all, how could the scheming Wu Qianli miss the chance to increase her connections.

Walking into her bedroom Su Ruoyan quickly locked her door and tightly closed her blinds and curtains, before heading towards her desk drawer.

Grabbing a ballpoint pen from atop her desk Su Ruoyan slowly unscrewed the tip and pulled out the thin ink container. Pulling the bottom right cabinet open, Su Ruoyan removed the few notebooks she put in it. After, she stuck her hand underneath it, feeling around for the small hole. Finding it, she maneuvered the ink canister and inserted it into the hole. The false bottom of the cabinet rose, revealing the thin notebook hidden underneath.

The unassuming small notebook was something that you could probably find in any stationery store, held Su Ruoyan's greatest secrets. Grabbing the edge of the notebook, Su Ruoyan quickly pulled it out before setting back everything as it was.

After confirming that nothing looked out of place, Su Ruoyan carefully opened the notebook. The notebook in front of her was one of the items meant to secure her survival. In order to not forget anything, Su Ruoyan noted down everything that she could remember.

Every last detail of everything that she could remember happening in the next 20 years or so was written on these pages. Su Ruoyan was too paranoid to not hide it well. This notebook was probably her most important item in this world, and she couldn't even imagine what would happen if anyone got their hands on it.

In order to make sure no one did, Su Ruoyan built a contraption based on one made by one of the most intelligent people that she knew of. A person who she knew also needed to hide a super important notebook. Using his idea as a basis Su Ruoyan spent the next 2 weeks building her contraption.

After confirming that her cabinet drawer indeed had a two-layered bottom, Su Ruoyan proceeded to remove the first layer and using a long thin nail she took from the toolbox in the shed carve a small hole in the second layer of the bottom. Afterward, using two pieces of cardboard she cut out from a shoebox in her closet, Su Ruoyan placed it along the bottom edges of the cabinet, before placing the false bottom on top. Although she did not have the materials to hide the notebook as well as Light did, at least her notebook was well hidden in this.

Opening the notebook Su Ruoyan flipped through the pages at a rapid pace finally came to the page she was looking for.

Info: The brother of Su Ruoyan, born around 6 years after her. Later on, he will be crippled by Mu Fan Xie.

'It's currently September', thought Su Ruoyan as she narrowed her eyes at the page, her body stiffening. 'I was right'

Su Household

September 15th, 20XX

The morning of the playdate Su Ruoyan woke up earlier than usual, having barely slept the night before. After brushing her teeth and changing into a simple dress, she headed downstairs for breakfast.

For the past few months, Su Ruoyan has continuously eaten breakfast with the Su couple. Even though their relationship was still a bit awkward, it was not nearly as bad as before. She may not be the original Su Ruoyan, but it didn't mean she couldn't feel the love that the Su couple poured onto her.

Perhaps the reason why she treated them as well as she did was due to the guilt that she felt. Guilt from taking over the body of their actual daughter right under their noses. Guilt from taking away this love that was never hers in the first place.

"Ruoyan, hurry and eat breakfast."

Hearing Yu Xialan's voice, Su Ruoyan broke away from her thoughts and glanced up. Seeing Yu Xialan sitting at the dining table with Su Ruochen next to her.

Quickly, Su Ruoyan made her way towards the dining table. Sitting down she waited for the maids to finish setting the food. After the food was set, Su Ruochen picked up his chopsticks, Yu Xialan and Su Ruoyan followed thereafter.

Though quiet there was harmonious atmosphere around the table. Both Yu Xialan and Su Ruochen were happy that Su Ruoyan eating well, while Su Ruoyan was both anxious yet excited for the playdate.

After finishing his food Su Ruochen quickly kissed his wife and daughter goodbye before quickly leaving for work. Yu Xialan seeing her husband leave led Su Ruoyan towards the living room.

Motioning for Su Ruoyan to sit down, Yu Xialan turned to the maid, "Zhao Ran, go boil some Baihao Yinzhen tea for me."

"Yes, madam."

Seeing the maid leave, Yu Xialan turned towards Su Ruoyan. "Mrs. Mu told me yesterday that she would be here at around 8:30 it's currently 8:20 already, she'll probably be here soon."

"I see," Su Ruoyan shifted over so that her body faced Yu Xialan, "Mother are you close with Mrs. Mu?"

Letting out a laugh Yu Xialan shook her head, "I have not spoken to her in many years, until a few days ago. It is your father and Mr. Mu that are friends."

Su Ruoyan hummed in acknowledgment, "Mother, have you known her long though?"

"Oh yes! I've known Wu Qianli for many years since high school perhaps. That was also where I met your father." Yu Xialan laughed as she remembered the memories.

"At that time I was from a regular family and had only gotten into Yuxian Academy because of my high grades. Your father was in my class and on my first day our homeroom teacher sat me right next to him. Everyone stared at me in shock and pity. After I sat down, I introduced myself but he only glanced at me before ignored me completely! I was completely infuriated!

After that, I labeled him a rude person and vowed to not speak to him again. I was new to the school at the time so I had no idea why they were looking at me like that. Your father was actually one of the most sought after boys in the school. We had a name for the top four bachelors in the school, they were called "The Four Kings of Yuxian Academy". Mu Wan was actually one too along with— "

The sound of the doorbell interrupted Yu Xialan and made her pause. Realizing who it was Yu Xialan quickly stood up, "It must be Mrs. Mu, Ruoyan I'm going to go open the door."

Yu Xialan quickly walked towards the door, waving away the made that was about to open it. Turning the knob, Yu Xialan opened the door swung open.
