Superman of the American Comics

Chapter 484 Timeline, final ending

Chapter 484 Timeline, final ending
"Is this guy a lunatic?"

Green Lantern Hal Jordan looked suspiciously at Batman and asked.

If we talk about the superheroes present, who usually has the most dealings with psychopaths, anti-social lunatics, and perverts.

The Dark Knight from Gotham dares to say that he is second, but no one dares to be number one.

As we all know, Gotham is a city with simple folk customs and outstanding people.

The clown, the penguin, the riddleman, the black mask... Just throw a brick into the sky when you go out, and you can hit three or four villains.

"I'm not crazy."

Dr. Manhattan replied.

He looked at the superheroes around him, but his eyes were in a daze, without a specific focus.

A few minutes ago, the time and space of this universe seemed to be disturbed, or affected.

The violent movement of tachyons, like a layer of hazy gauze, obscured Dr. Manhattan's quantum perception.

He couldn't see what would happen in the future a moment later, like a movie where the plot was skipped and only the ending could be foreseen.

"I hope you can explain your identity, purpose, and why you are doing this?"

Batman stared at the blue man, trying to get useful information from the other's expression.

However, nothing was found.

"This guy doesn't look like an intelligent creature at all, he doesn't even have the slightest emotional fluctuation."

Batman's heart sank, and he silently increased the opponent's danger index by a level.

Even a lunatic like the Joker, who cannot guess the logic of his actions, will show some obvious emotional tendency.

But Doctor Manhattan is like a god overlooking mortals, with nothing but indifference.

"My purpose?"

Hearing the questioning, Dr. Manhattan's eyes became even more dazed.

He looked through the haze of tachyons to July 1940, 7.

A young engineer named Alan Scott boarded the train, but unfortunately suffered a collapse while crossing the bridge.

He clung to a green lantern and miraculously survived.

This is the story of the Justice Society, the first generation of Green Lanterns.

Time dragged forward, Dr. Manhattan's eyes fell on November 1940, 11.

Alan Scott donned a mask and sat around a round table, wondering who would speak first.

This is the first meeting of the Justice Society.

This is the story that should have happened.

And Dr. Manhattan didn't let that happen.

On July 1940, 7, Alan Scott boarded the train according to the original trajectory of his life.

The bridge collapsed and the accident occurred.

A blue arm reached out and moved the lantern of the green light.

So Alan Scott didn't get it, and he didn't survive.

The first Green Lantern of the Justice Society disappeared.

"This is an experiment."

Dr. Manhattan replied.

His eyes stopped on Batman, but passed through the other's body, looking at the more distant past.

On April 1938, 4, Doctor Manhattan left the Watchmen Universe and entered the DC Universe.

The first person he talked to was a down-and-out actor named "Cavill Coleman".

Doctor Manhattan just glanced at each other and knew everything.

In December 1928, Carville Coleman came to Los Angeles alone, with only seventeen dollars and a few changes of clothes.

January 1929, 1. Cavill Coleman had been delivering papers at Paramount Pictures for eight months, and people still couldn't remember his name.

On February 2, Cavill Coleman lost his job because the studio was burned down.

On February 1937, 2, Cavell Coleman was fired from Dan Tanner's for skipping work to line up for an audition.

On April 1938, 4, Cavell Coleman was kicked out by his landlord and could only spend the night on the street.

Ten minutes before midnight, he was awakened by a blue light and saw himself.

Dr. Manhattan, who left the Watchmen universe, was confused for the first time.

He goes to new places and meets new people.

Everything in this world and this universe is like a puzzle, and the answer has not yet been reached.

So, Dr. Manhattan did a simple experiment.

He invites a down-and-out Cavill Coleman to dinner and tries to see the future three minutes from now.

However, it failed.

Realizing that he needed a "coordinate" to focus on, Dr. Manhattan stared at Cavill Coleman, seeing a year into the future.

On April 1939, 4, Cavill Coleman auditioned successfully.

A successful attempt to restore Dr. Manhattan's state of looking at flowers from the fog back to normal.

His quantum senses seem to be constantly adapting to this multiverse.

The future looks more and more clear.

On April 1943, 4, the movie starring Cavill Coleman hit the box office.

On April 1952, 4, Cavill Coleman won the Oscar statuette and won the honor of best actor.

On April 1954, 4, Cavill Coleman had cancer and was about to die soon.

On April 1955, 4, the seat opposite was empty.

In just a short moment, Dr. Manhattan watched that person's life.

Then he noticed a more interesting presence than Cavill Coleman.

On April 1938, 4, news of Superman spread rapidly across the United States.

There was a man in a red cloak who easily lifted a car.

Doctor Manhattan sensed that this was the beginning of a world change.

A theoretical physicist named "Bryce DeWitt" hypothesized that the universe is splitting into distinct timelines all the time.

According to this theory, the birth of parallel worlds is endless, like branches from a big tree.

"Multiverse."

Dr. Manhattan opened his mouth and said something that superheroes on Mars did not understand.

His eyes are still moving across the timeline, and at that particular time on April 1938, 4, Superman first appeared.

Doctor Manhattan keenly felt that the man in the red cape called "Superman" was not only the world's first cross-dressing hero, but also the center of this world and this multiverse.

With the advent of Superman, in July 1940, young engineer Alan Scott would become Green Lantern.

In January of the same year, a college student named "Jay Garrick" lost consciousness in a school experiment and inhaled heavy water vapor.

When he wakes up, he will be the fastest man in the world.

This is a generation of Flash.

In the same month, archaeologist Carter Hall came into contact with an ancient knife, which awakened the memory of being an Egyptian prince in his previous life.

This is Eagle Man.

In May, a golden helmet with unknown supernatural powers fell into the hands of Kent Nelson.

This is Dr. Fate.

In October, Al Platt, frustrated by his size, found one of the world's greatest fighters and began training under him.

This is the atom smasher.

In April 1939, Wesley Dodds dreamed of a serial killer who took advantage of the Expo to make trouble.

Wearing a gas mask, he caught the killer.

This is the original Sandman.

In February 1940, the body of Jim Corrigan lay still.

Afterwards, he came back from the dead, seeking revenge.

This is a generation of ghosts.

In November 1940, everyone came together and the Justice Society of America was formed.

Dr. Manhattan has finished reading the past and the story of heroes in disguise.

Then, something unexpected happened.

When Dr. Manhattan went back further, he was surprised to find that Superman had disappeared.

It's like it was deleted and no one heard of it again.

Until 1956, the man in the red cape appeared in the Metropolis.

And 25 years ago, a meteorite fell over the Kent Farm in Kansas.

Jonathan and Martha discovered the Kryptonian orphan and adopted him, named "Clark-Kent".

The reason why Superman disappeared is because a mysterious force that even Dr. Manhattan could hardly detect changed his story.

Such a change affects every world in the multiverse at the same time.

By October 1986, Superman's arrival on Earth had changed again, and the story was different.

Dr. Manhattan is confused.

He couldn't understand such a phenomenon.

Why do established facts change again and again?
In May 1949, a young Clark Kent sat beside his dying parents in bed.

In 1956, Doctor Manhattan watches Clark as he sweeps his grave.

And in October 1986, he saw the Kents, who should have died, were alive.

A few years later, Jonathan Kent died again in his son's arms.

Dr. Manhattan stands quietly in the palace of Mars, but his consciousness travels through the past and the future.

Time is like an empty room to him.

He can exist both in the past and at the same time based on the future.

"I misunderstood the nature of this universe."

Dr. Manhattan spoke again, saying something that other superheroes couldn't understand.

He no longer clings to the past, but looks to the future.

Follow the trajectory of Superman and see 1000 years later.

Clark Kent is still there, not gone like Cavill Coleman.

The legend of Superman, the brilliance of Superman, and the name of Superman seem to be engraved on the multiverse, unbreakable.

As a result, Dr. Manhattan's irresistible curiosity arose.

After becoming a quantum being, the world no longer has any secrets from him.

Human beings are too ordinary and life is too mediocre.

Everything seems to be the same, but it is completely different.

Until he came to the DC universe and discovered Superman, Dr. Manhattan found something of interest again.

For example, reshaping the multiverse.

If this world, or even other parallel universes, they all exist and change because of Superman.

So what would happen if he directly changed Superman?
Therefore, Dr. Manhattan eliminated the first generation of Green Lantern, Alan Scott.

On the eve of Clark-Kent High School prom, the couple Jonathan and Martha were killed in a car accident.

Clark, who lost his parents, became increasingly estranged from humans.

Since then, Dr. Manhattan has made several changes.

Like having Jonathan Kent die in a tornado.

Or let Superman die on Doomsday.

The man in the red cloak will always return.

No matter how Dr. Manhattan is changed.

The greater and greater changes finally caused the multiverse to fluctuate violently.

Wally West, the third-generation Flash, discovered the existence of Dr. Manhattan.

Later, Batman also vaguely saw it.

"I want to know my end."

For the last time, Dr. Manhattan uttered words that superheroes could not understand.

When he makes these changes, watch Superman change, the world change, the multiverse change.

The blue man saw the end of the future.

The cloak fluttered, and the fiery eyes shot out heat.

Superman shook his fist at himself angrily, and then there was darkness.

For the next 100 years, 1000 years, nothing has changed.

"So, did I destroy the world, or did Superman kill me?"

Manhattan's dazed eyes seemed to have found a focus, looking at the superheroes surrounding him.
