"What is wrong over here?" Huang Ping asked. Shan Xiong Xin was also following behind him as he came on behalf of Sun Wu Jian to maintain the prince's prestige as the owner of this fort.

"Commander Huang. Commander Shan." the half-drawn sword was returned into its sheath when Expert Yi turned around and greeted the two officers above his rank.

"Please allow this subordinate to explain the situation here." Expert Yi started to whisper in between Huang Ping and Shan Xiong Xin as he guided them through from when Qin Fan sat by the side of the road.

"Ah! I remembered. Will this works?" Qin Fan, who was still clueless about what is happening around him, took a golden token out. Because he rarely needs to show his identity to others, Qin Fan has totally forgotten that he had something like this on his neck.

"Heh..." the soldier looking at Qin Fan's token chuckled as he was unsure if Qin Lan was mocking him or he was purely stupid.

"What's so funny? Look? There's a word (Qin) here. I'm the eldest of the Qin Family's younger generation, Qin Fan. Your commander, Qin Lan, is my third siblings." Qin Fan said.

"Expert... Everyone guarding the door knew that Commander Qin hates exhibiting wealth and power in public. Even if you're trying to imitate his elder brother, shouldn't you follow the others and engrave it on a stone or wooden plate like the others?" said the soldier. He shook his head as he speaks.

But the token caught a mixed response from the others.

"Fan-Gege?" Zhou Mei finally noticed Qin Fan on the other side of the road. Even she had no idea that they could end up not coming across each other just because another carriage is blocking her view. Luckily, they were all stopped here because of some misunderstandings.

"Ah! Xiao-Mei!" Qin Fan waved his hand and greeted her back.

"Look at there, that's my future sister-in-law, your commander's second wife. She can verify my identity, so go to her, would you?" Qin Fan said. Although he didn't speak loudly, it was clear enough for those with some cultivation to listen to him audibly.

Zhou Mei lowered her head a little by being addressed as "sister-in-law" by Qin Fan right in public. Of course, she was happy that more than one person approved the wish she had in her mind, but saying it like this was like she's trying to announce her engagement out aloud in public.

Peng Yan's expression turned sour the moment she overheard the conversation between Qin Fan and Zhou Mei. It never crossed her mind before that she would be stuck in between the two.

"The two of you must be associated with one another. Who is the one sending you here to mess with the enjoys from the Country of Wei?" Peng Yan said. The horseman on her carriage approached Zhou Mei to capture her in case she tried to escape.

At the same time, one of the two elders went to apprehend Qin Fan. 

"Surrender obediently! It will only get worst if you resist!" the elder said. Like Qin Fan, he's also a middle-attainment rank Bone Expert.

"How can a fight happened out of sudden?" Shan Xiong Xin and Huang Ping were puzzled by the sudden changes of events before them. Right here, perhaps only Expert Yi had a slight idea of what was going on.

"Expert Yi, explain this!" Huang Ping asked. In the last battle, both he and Shan Xiong Xin missed the scene unfolding between Qin Lan and Peng Yan. During that time, they're still trapped inside the bloody mist created by Lang Xue.

"How should I say about this... I think it's jealousy between the girls. Is it legit that Lady Zhou is engaged to Commander Qin?" Expert Yi asked. Even he's confused. As for the soldiers, it was natural for them to be clueless about everything happening right here.

"Country Protection Fist!" the power of Spiritual Energy belonged to a middle-attainment Bone Expert approached Qin Fan like a falling meteor. The pressure alone is enough to force all the soldiers around Qin Fan to collapse on the ground, awaiting death.

"Aargh!" the strongest one amongst them, which is also the one that grabbed Qin Fan's token for inspection earlier, only capable of groaning as he stuck on the ground.

"Golden Lord's Holy Fist!" Qin Fan casually retaliates the moment he sees there's no space to mitigate the misunderstanding. And since he's yet to get in a fight against someone in the same cultivation rank as himself, this was a chance for him to test himself.

The achievement of his martial art from the Golden Lord's Temple is much higher than everyone else. The moment Qin Fan threw his fist out, the Spiritual Energy within him manifest into a silhouette in golden carapace armor.

"Martial Manifestation!" even the elder was shocked by Qin Fan's counterattack as he was forced to retreat. The collision between the two attacks seems simple to the others. But in the eyes of another middle-attainment rank elder, it was enough to force him to make a move.

"Brother Li-Xun, let me help you!" the other elder approached Qin Fan when he noticed that this opponent is not somebody to be underestimated. Although both of them were capable of Martial Manifestation, it was not as casual as how Qin Fan did.

"How dare you make a move on the Zhou Family's member! Are you getting tired of living inside the Country of Wu?" Zhou Mei's guard speaks after blocking the attack from Peng Yan's horseman.

The battle of two half-step Bone Cultivator over here were not as exciting as the one between Qin Fan and the two elders. But the Spiritual Energy they release still managed to cause disturbance to the people queuing around the fort's entrance.

To some people with cultivation, this was a chance for them to witness a battle and received enlightenment from studying it. But to the old and weak, it was like getting caught in between a few eyes of the wind that could easily tear their flesh apart.

"Protect the people from getting involved in their fight! Stop them from fighting!" Expert Yi said.

Those soldiers that still idle immediately executed Expert Yi's command. The experts following him also immediately interrupted the battle between Zhou Mei's guard and Peng Yan's horseman from escalating further.

But their involvement in this also made the other guards who belonged to Peng Yan joining the brawl. Fights immediately break out in the time enough for two breaths.

"What a mess!" Huang Ping and Shan Xiong Xin stare at each other. Even Expert Yi is forced to join the fight to stop them from turning this into a bloodbath.

The fight even caught Sun Wu Jian and Qin Lan's attention when the Spiritual Qi started to converge around the fort's entrance.

"Shouldn't they be going there to welcome the envoy from the Country of Wei? Why would they ended up fighting?" Sun Wu Jian placed the brush back on the holder as he lost his mood to continue marking his paperwork.

As for Qin Lan, he had just left his Private Refining Hall. The start of a fight is indeed troubling to Qin Lan, but he was preoccupied with another matter right now. He was bombarded with more than twenty problems related to alchemy the moment he stepped outside.

"Change this spiritual herb to..."

"Stop refining..."

"Get a new cauldron before you continued..."

"Go to the supplies office and ask them where are the containers and boxes for the pills..."

Even Qin Lan himself felt overwhelmed as the workers inside the Pill Hall is too inexperienced. Luckily, someone would be here soon to help.

"We're not going to shop, teacher. Did you forget that big sister Zhou will come to the Demon Mountain Fort today? Let's go to pick her up at the entrance!" Zhuge Xinyu said. She was the closest to Zhou Mei because the two were alike in their personality.

As for Zhuge Yanyu, she's closer to Hu Jia because they're both reckless, hurried, and daring whenever they're doing something.

Then both of you should follow me. I am going to the fort's entrance anyway. Let's go over there and have a look." Qin Lan smiled as the two follow him like a pair of fluttering butterflies around him.

"Stop them from fighting!" Expert Yi finally separates them apart. Panting as he kept them from continuing, he was stuck in between Zhou Mei and Peng Yan's rivalry.

Right now, the only problem left is between Qin Fan and the two elders. He was torn and clueless about what to do to stop them from fighting.

"Should we let them fight until they got tired?" Huang Ping asked Shan Xiong Xin.
