"Get in there and surround them! Do not allow a single enemy soldier to escape from this battlefield today!" Wang Xun ordered as he splits his troops into a few divisions and encircles his enemies, preventing them from escaping.

With the loss of the Tian-Jian Unit's officer, they're now just like a pile of loose sand that can be toppled even by a touch of wind.

The officer from the Tian-Gang Unit wasn't doing too well either, as he was filled with wounds and bruises from getting attacked repeatedly by Qiang Shou.

Their defeat is inevitable.

"I don't believe this!" the Tian-Gang Unit's officer screamed. Taking out a few medicinal pills from his Qiankun Pouch, he chuckled as he looks at Qiang Shou with a hateful gaze.

"I'll drag you down to hell with me!" the officer took the pills in a mouthful.

"Qiang Shou, be careful." You Qing flicked his dagger and beheaded a few more enemy soldiers as he warned his companion to take extra note of his opponent.

"I know." Qiang Shou replied by taking a few Blood Genesis Pill along with an Essence Transformation Pill. This will help him to recover most of his strength in the shortest time.

"Azure Lightning Blade!" holding his sword with both hands, the officer finally went crazy as he attacked with all his strength. The medicinal pills he had taken seem to push his cultivation to the peak of first-level in the Bone Reconstruction Layer.

"Commander, should we send some people to rescue them?" another officer asked for Zhu Tingyi's advice.

"No... Since the battle has just started, there's no point for us to rescue the soldiers that failed to perform excellently. If you have something to say, you might as well volunteer to be deployed after this battle." Zhu Tingyi replied.

The reply made the officer retreated back to his position as a sense of pity appeared in his mind. He shook his head lightly as he knew that there's no way a thousand soldiers still fighting down there could come home.

Soon, the battle entered the climax when less than 500 Thunder Roaring Palace's soldiers remained on the battlefield. But most of them were captured as the Demon Mountain Fort is facing an issue with lack of manpower right now.

"Captain Wang, should we wrap this battle here?" the squadron leaders from his unit came forward as they asked for Wang Xun's opinion.

"Yes. Wrap up the battle and tell everyone to retreat after this." Wang Xun smiled. It's like they had achieved what they came out to do here.

The horn was blown as soon as Wang Xun gave his order to slowly retreat with all the captives.

"How could all my men be defeat... Urgh!" the unit leader of the Tian-Gang Unit coughed a mouthful of blood when he turned his attention on the battlefield. But it was a stupid move of his. Taking the opportunity given by his opponent, Qiang Shou made sure to destroy his heart in a single attack.

"Wang Xun thanked your highness for the kind words." he immediately kneeled after listening to what Sun Wu Jian has said.

This time, more soldiers were deployed from both sides. Furthermore, the strength of the soldiers wasn't too low as the weakest amongst them were at the eighth level of the Flesh Refining Layer.

The majority of the soldiers were all between Peak-Level Flesh Refining to half-step Bone Reconstruction.

"To think that everyone is sending out five thousand soldiers on the second battle. I'm sure this is going to be an exciting one. Anyone want to volunteer for this battle?" Sun Wu Jian asked the three commanders seated before him.

Qin Lan was smiling as he looked at Shan Xiong Xin and Huang Ping.

"Looks like all of you are waiting for me to show what kind of trick I have in my sleeve. Since that's the case, I'll take the helm to lead the second battle." Qin Lan volunteered.

"Hahaha, then, I'll leave everything to you, brother Qin!" Sun Wu Jian laughed as he tossed a golden tiger tally onto Qin Lan's hand.

"Men!" Qin Lan summoned some soldiers to come into the tent.

"Yes, Commander Qin!" three soldiers came in and kneeled before Qin Lan.

"Order the kitchen to prepare wine, meat, and other delicacies. Tell them that the Ninth Prince's army will be having a feast early than the others tonight!" he said.

"Also, sent someone to inform the elders that if they're interested, the ninth prince had prepared plenty of good wine for them to taste while celebrating our victory banquet!" Qin Lan's order was like an announcement to the public.

It was spoken out loudly on purpose as he tried to make sure that the elders eavesdropping on their conversation knew what he's intending to do.
