Supreme Emperor of Mist

Chapter 202: General of Three Armies (4)

"What do you think about the battle? It seems that the start was a little dull to our liking." Sun Ding Tian's guardian said as he sat on top of the Vermilion Tailed Golden Peacock belonged to him. In his hand was a bottle of the delicious and fragrant Rock Lotus Fragrance Wine.

"That's how he always does. This boy always kept his card hidden well. Look at the two detachments he just sent out. Shall we guess what he's trying to do?" Sun Wu Jian's guardian added. He's also seated on his Yao Beast companion.

"There's one more detachment following from the back. Looks like this boy is hellbent on taking one of the commander's head at the beginning of the battle." Yang Wen pointed at Lu Yi's group of close to twenty Crimson Mist soldiers.

"To think that there are still a few of them hidden behind the one that already moves out. How many sets of the equipment do you think this boy has?" Sun Chen Long's guardian asked.

"Close to five thousand, perhaps? I'm sure there's less now since he has lost quite a few in the two previous battles. It will be no surprise if a hundred or two is all he's capable of taking out." he added.

"Look... It seems that the other side has made their own preparation as well..." Sun Wu Jian's guardian pointed at the side where Xu Hu came. It seems that there's a detachment full of siege crossbows is moving out to counter Sun Ding Tian's Rampart Formation.

...

...

"Woah!!!" a cheer can be heard from the battle point between Qin Fan's Crimson Mist Army against the Beheading Army. From the way it looks, it seems that Qin Fan's side was the one cheering in the middle of the battle.

"Report! Commander Qin has slain an officer and heavily injured the other. They're now pushing further through the enemy's rank!" a messenger immediately came to Qin Lan and read out his report excitedly.

"Order the flare holder to fire the Qin Family flare immediately." Qin Lan revealed a nervous expression after listening to the messenger's report.

"Ge - General?" the order puzzled the messenger.

"Now!" Qin Lan used his Spiritual Qi to pull the messenger up from his knees and urge him to relay his order.

"Yes! At once!" the messenger quickly left.

"Expert Yi, go to the battlefield and inform my stupid brother to not fall to our opponent's Provo..."

"Bang! - Bang! - Bang!" three explosions happened on the battlefield where Qin Fan is before he managed to complete his sentence.

"Damn! I'm too late!" Qin Lan cursed.

"Expert Yi, go and drag my big brother back! Qing Yun! Follow and make sure the core units were uninjured." Qin Lan revealed a panicked expression as he delivered two of his most trusted subordinates into the battlefield.

...

"General, we've trapped the leader of Crimson Mist. Please give us your order." a few messengers reported.

"Great work. Send all the Beheading Army to that battlefield and the others towards Xu Hu. Order Yang Yuan to join the battle and tell him to move wherever he likes." the mysterious commander ordered without a hint of emotion in his speech.

It seems like Qin Lan's worry had happened. His opponent was not Yang Yuan, but this mysterious commander.

But what's weird about this is an elder was standing nearby the commander. It was as if she was controlling the action of this individual.

"Senior sister, don't you worry it will incite the Genius Warfare General's wrath by doing such thing?" asked another elder standing beside her.

"So? Once a disciple of the Evil Infant Sect, she'll be forever a disciple of our Evil Infant Sect. The King of Wei will be against me as this will be the collateral for him to control the uprising power of the general at the same time." the elder said.

"Senior sister, I just hope you know what you're doing." the other elder left as she returned to the sky to witness the battle between the two countries.

...

"Guard your position! Do not allow any of them to get an entry point through our formation!" Sun Ding Tian ordered. His current appearance was entirely different from the one often seen within the tent. Done in a set of protective gear from his chest to bottom, he looked like a proper officer standing on the battlefield.

'How good would it be if our second prince kept this appearance at all time?' his adjutant thought.

But a flying bolt capable of killing an early Bone Level expert came in at the worst time. Although it missed the adjutant's vital, he was still heavily wounded from getting scratched by that siege-powered weapon.

"Adjutant!" a few of his long-serving subordinates immediately turned around after they noticed that the adjutant was on the ground, bleeding profusely.

Even Sun Ding Tian lost his calmness as he turned his attention around.

"NO! KEEP FIGHTING! KEEP FIGHTING!" the adjutant struggled and shouted with all the energy he had left. There was a hint of stammering in his words as he stops everyone from coming to his side.

Sun Ding Tian's hands were trembling as he had difficulty choosing what to do. As he was to leave everything aside and choose the adjutant, two loyal subordinates quickly pulled Sun Ding Tian's hand and kept him from turning away.

"Your highness, we'll go. We'll go. You can't leave the battlefield." the soldiers said.

"Make sure he's alive." Sun Ding Tian grabbed the collar of the soldier as he finished his sentence. Shifting his attention back to the frontline, Sun Ding Tian tightened his fists as he wished that the three messenger's order came as soon as possible.

"Your highness, the second wave of Crossbow Bolts will arrive soon! Take cover, please!" a few soldiers moved left their formation and went to protect Sun Ding Tian as he pointed at his opponent's formation.

**Whoosh!**

*Bang!*

An explosion happened where Sun Ding Tian stands. The morale of the Far-Left Army was immediately disturbed when this happened.
