MIA'S POV:

Blue. I could never manage myself to hate the colour. I rather like it very much and I'm wearing it. But even after all that, I might positively hate this colour right now. Or maybe everything in the world.

Yep, I detest everything. There's no helping it. Otherwise, why would I, a 250+ year old soul need to attend a tea party? Not c.o.c.ktail party but a tea party. With kids. Kids who were barely 5.

A proof that God doesn't contain much mercy reserved for few people like, Me.

As much as fate loves to toy with me, and this was a whole new level.

After a chat (or therapy) with Gresil, I reluctantly agreed to halt my plans on being a social recluse. I agreed, yes, but… this is too much.

How am I supposed to talk with kids who were barely able to make proper sentences. Gresil had cut all contact with me. He did that because he knew I would slaughter him right now, and then revive and this workout's on repeat.

While my cat was laughing his a.s.s on the ground, I need to… thinking about it makes me horrified.

The image of me trying to play with some snot nosed kids… was anything but dreadful. I can put up conversations with full-grown a.d.u.l.ts, hypocrites or not. Sigh… I feel extremely drained.

"You are not facing a dragon dear. It's merely a few kids. It would be effortless." My mother tried to lighten up my mood.

"I'd rather face few dragons than a couple of kids." I'm serious about it.

"Enough of jokes, love. I'm serious about it. You're five. And I'm allowing you to be alone anymore." I'm definitely not joking, mum.

"I'm not alone. I have Gresil with me."

"I meant humans."

"You are there with me every day."

"Sigh… you're just a little girl Mia. You need to have friends. It's your childhood, and I want you to have a happy one, love."

"...you want me to be friends with someone dull?"

"Sigh… these kids are not stupid, honey. They are from wizarding families like ours and you can probably-"

"They'd die if they learn any magic from me, mum."

"Sigh… I don't know what to do with you."

"How about leaving me alone?"

"That's it, young lady. This ends right now. You are making some friends. I don't care if they are stupid. Make them smart if you have to. And no more whining. You get that?"

"Yes ma'am." I said dryly and know there's no escape now. I sighed for the nth time today. Soon, there was a knock on the door. It was my grandmother. She brought some menaces known as 'brats.'

There was a girl and two boys. She left them to me, and I took them to one of the guest rooms.

They were observing all the way. I guess it's not their fault. At one point, I got bored and redecorated the entire house with mother. She was happy to oblige. Hence, The Morgan Manor was now adorned with many decorations. It was imbued with the flavors of all the three worlds combined with an ancient flavour. In simple terms, it was breathtaking.

"We're here." I stated blandly.

The kids stopped in their tracks and followed me inside.

We all sat on the sofa. While they were looking at all the paintings and other stuff in the room, a house elf brought us some refreshments.

"Here, have some tea."

The three kids took just a single sip from the tea and started eating some cookies.

"What are these?" the blonde haired girl asked me timidly. Was I intimidating? Well, I could be when I'm bothered.

"Cake pops."

"...What?"

"Sigh… They are cake pops. Don't you know about them?"

All three shook their heads.

"...Seriously? Sigh… they are just some desserts, similar to cakes but not entirely."

"Can I try it?" The boy with pale, platinum hair asked shyly.

"Yeah, you can."

He took one and ate. His eyes widened and instantly took another. Seeing him enjoying it, the other two also ate.

Soon the playdate turned into a Q&A session about sweets…

It's understandable. I became an epicure. Couldn't help it. It just happened. And no one can dare say they are better connoisseur than me. I've lived three lifetimes and know better. The dragon slaying magic allowed me to even taste nature…

In short, the food at our house tastes divine all thanks to me and the house elves trained by Gresil...

The girl loved strawberries. The black haired one liked chocolates, and the pale blonde ate every sweet Everything was bite sized. So even though they ate a lot, they could eat more. If I didn't know any better, I would think these kids haven't eaten anything for days.

Kids, wizards or not, enjoyed sweets. Exceptions were rare.

I simply watched them eat. Finally, when they were full, they had the spare time to look at me.

"Do you need some more?"

"...no, thank you." The trio replied feeling a bit embarrassed about overlooking me. I didn't mind. If every play date was to feed a few kids, I can tolerate that. They haven't asked to engage in any foolish games and stayed silent. It's decided. These kids are reasonably decent, maybe because of the upbringing.

"I am Mia Morgan. What are your names?" Let's invite these kids. They were quite well behaved.

Once again, the three of them were red-faced. They forgot about introducing themselves.

The boy with raven hair spoke first.

"I am Theodere Nott."

"I am Daphne Greengrass."

"I am Draco Malfoy."

Holy Moly. Thank Mavis, Zeref, and Lucy that Gresil's not here. He would've died from laughter, or I would've killed him anyway.

"Okay, nice to meet you all." I lived for a long time and was able to keep my calm.

But in all honesty, I was just chanting the four letter word again.

Of all the people, my family had to select these kids. Why can't I have the luxury of supporting few no-name kids?

Fine, two of them didn't matter much but the other was demi antagonist.

Like they say, Fate is a fickle thing.

But I say, Fate is an abusive thing.
