Chapter 23 - 20-25 (Multiple fronts offense)

Normally survivors tend to sneak on the sides of the walls to attack any zombies or set up a bait for ambush spot, thus the bait will make some sounds to attract them, which is like tactical computer games played on last 5 to 10 years ago.

Sometimes they use hit and hit tactics to reduce the numbers of zombies in order to clear their quests or enable them to sneak in other parts of the area in a safer way or mere reducing the zombie's overall numbers.

Right now, I am moving with a group of survivors, no I mean toys to the upper floors.

Notice new challenge issued, Force reclaims of the upper floors (may force to fight more enemies than you think), Reward less time wasted on clearing the floors, accepting it will gather all the zombies at the same floor, and 10th are new hunting zone for the zombies. Fail this challenge: 10th floor will not be a safe zone.

Yes, do it system, show those zombies who is the king. I talk to the air while Junias look at me like I am talking to someone but invisible.

The walls and ceiling above me start to disappear and the 12th-floor ceiling can be seen as it flip at 360 degrees and go right back up, thus sending even more zombies and people to the ground. Suddenly every human and zombies land on the floor.

Notice 11th and 12th floor are disappearing, get to the safe zone ASAP.

Since the world has gone insane, now everything has gone insane, Well 3 days ago, I am just a worker that work night shift duty at an electrical application company, I came home from work, I was taking a bath, just then a list of notifications and popups that I can't remove, then suddenly there are m.o.a.ning sounds in my kitchen.

I hurry to wipe my body and check what up on my kitchen as there is nobody except me at home.

What I see it is 2 man who is slowing at me and m.o.a.ning.

Suddenly, there is a notice of me battling the two zombies, is this a video game, well I think I am getting tired that is the reason why I can see those things. I quickly follow the tutorial, and get my weapon ready and defeated the zombies, sudden there is a new quest pop up, on blocking the holes and windows to prevent the monsters from coming in. Then I do what I was told and take a nap.

Once I am awake, I walk to the kitchen, to see there are some nails and a human skin. Then the notice pops up, saying that the reward of me killing those zombies, I place them into the inventory like it is the natural thing to do even though it is not the natural. After that I drink some water, now even water has a few statuses.

In the meantime, I turn on the digital television (TV) for some world news, while I play with some inventory items, like opening up the packs, using RTE as snacks while watching the TV, News shows that in many parts of the world, zombies, insects and any other animals are attacking humans, the government called all civilians to stay at home or group up with a large group of people. While calling for the men to fight and help defend the country, if it is so bad, as what they said, most men are dead at the halfway of the route. I have to check that is it even safe to leave the house.

I look through the peephole and see 2 people stand there doing nothing, the new notice tell me that there are zombies.

I have the choice of opening the door and attract them in to kill some time or do nothing, the 3rd solution is to open the sealed holes to allow pest to enter, system suggest that doing that will be easier than killing zombies, thus gaining more experience to the next level, on top of that there are more chance of drops compared to killing zombies. I decided to go on the easier route, but I need a bait which I set up a bait using the bits and piece of RTE, then use a tissue paper to place the bait onto it. Then I wore my shoes and go on unsealing the seal, upon the release of the seal, the pests rush to the bait before meeting my foot. I stomp them hard. The notice again, the place becomes like a turn-based game. I stomp at the lizard, it is like there is a chance that it will dodge and attack me, I just simply stomp those pests once it is my turn.

After the long and annoying battle, what I say pests mass killing after I kill a group of those pests at ease, it just that it is good for time killing as some pests can manage to dodge when I attempt to stomp them to death. Notice pop out and informs me that I level up.

I reseal the hole and distribute the stats points, after that, I surf the net on more help and information. After browsing the net, I go to sleep. The cycle repeats again on the next day. Even though there is loud noise of explosion going on, I choose to not bother on them. Notice then again informs me that I level up and I have minor bait making and stomp skill mastered. Also manage to pick 2 packs of RTE packs and some pest skins and shells, also some coins, the system only acknowledge that coins are the only money in this world, others are mere paper or pointless notes.

But now the notice pop up is insane, as I have 3 minutes from now to get to 9th which is as insanely dangerous as I did not prepare to even go outside of my home. I just simplify throws useable or anything good into my inventory, at least they worth money or I will be using them for a while.

I just grab almost everything I can find except for tables and chair, even beds I throw them into it.

Notice 1.42 minutes to decide on, failed to reach 9th will leads taking part of zombies killing mission.

I wasted too much time on throwing things into my inventory, I open my doors and stomp at the zombie's legs, quickly kill them off before they can attack or even stand up.

I reach the staircase and go down a floor.

The survivors and zombies are falling on the ground, and taking damages from the height. The homes or house disappear, the floor is converted into a larger space that has nothing to hide with.

I take up my gun flip the auto switch and shoot the toughest zombie, where I killed 2 armoured hulks (Mc spam all his skills on the first shot to kill the first then 2nd shot take all his shots to kill another one) along with some other zombies.

While the others do their fighting. Junias and My toys take the advantages of being able to attack first, they get to kill 11 zombies around while the rest of survivors and zombies try to get their footing on the new floor.

As newly arrived targets have found out that the floors vanished and they have fallen from higher height to this floor. My team are ready to strike again

The non-stop gunfire continue to attract more zombies due to it is too loud, while I try to aim for stronger zombies, while my allies continue to kill more endless zombies.

Notice due to breathing in too much of smoke, c.h.e.s.t pain + ASTHMA triggered -20 hp

I cough and cough, my c.h.e.s.t hurts as my lungs are squeezing itself hard while swapping out my gun for a slingshot, then I use the inhaler.

It is the rest of the survivor's turn which they kill some of the badly wounded zombies, well a few trips onto the pellets. 1 actually fell on the floor and hurt his knee.

The zombies who are attacked return their attacks back along surrounding zombies, well 5 survivors manage to die, while most of the zombies are rushing towards to me, while some are tripping on pellets.

All focus on the d.i.c.kers, smokers and other zombies that is not your normal zombies, I shout up loud

I start shooting the zombies the slingshot, my team are spamming on their skills to quickly kill off the zombies

The turn going to and forth, after 8 turns, all the zombies are fully cleared

Notice all zombies are cleared, the system will now give out the mission rewards...

Notice Rewards are given to the survivors and coins are reduced from the player who has died, according to their levels.

While everyone already goes to 8th floors to relax, while I ask Junias to go help out on the 6th floors with all the Toys.

I have seen the hulk have armour, I should improve my armour. Maybe I combine my shirt and pants and +5% regen in the safe zone, into one piece of armour.

Seriously this is insane, all my armours and a lot of drop materials and my only melee weapon and food??? I just throw in all the food packs that I have, and also all the pills and 2 inhales too, since it may cause the armour.

That is a great armour well made by the fusion, it is flesh covered with grey skins and along with white bones while it covers its self with more like a rubber-like structure.

I guess I have to go check up on the lower floors, maybe I want to clear the 6th and 5th floors

Sam and his team and trio, plus Alice come and steal kills on certain hulk.

Now what, just now 11th and 12th floor, now someone wants to clear the 5 and 6th floor at the same time. This is insane. The group of kill stealers are scared and now running to the lower floors. Say the man holding the slingshot in the group

The most survivors are going to rest while a few trying to take a nap

Ladies and gentlemen, let roll, stock up and get your equipment repaired, it is time for us to get the reward or we will lose our safe zone, E mission has the greatest experience points just by taking part in it. As the group starts to storm out of the safe zone for more free rewards, more and more people join the group to form a large group. Currently, there are no people in the safe zone except for the man who manages to survive the previous mission and he is looking at the vending machine.

Strange just now a guy shouted as there is a new mission going on, now everyone starts to go crazy with him, well I better repair my stuff before following them, since I cannot trade my daily stuff with them if there is no one around. The man thinks inside his thoughts

What now, there is another guy who is walking in the same direction as the group did which I remember he is the one who uses the strange shotgun that keeps firing for no reason. The man continued in his thought but he decides to follow them to the lower floors.

???? Same notices mission as just now, I better hurry to the 5th floors. Aggh the floors are disappearing as he finds himself falling off the staircase.

Back on the 5th floor

Survivors are making more spaces by breaking through zombies ranks forcefully, to make more spaces for themselves

The red scarf man gets a shock by he is too late to change anything.

Just then 2 guys fell on the floor and get stunned for a round.

Red scarf man and the mass VS the combined arms of 5 and 6th-floor divisions

The buildings have been disappeared from sight, all things on a higher ground must fall without anything supporting them.

Damn it is the smokers, all ranged units focus fire at them now, while the rest put on your mask Ava shouted as some people are confused as it is the first time, they have seen a smoker, but attack the smokers as ordered, Once the smoker exploded, it creates a 5 x 5 spaces area of explosion, they could easily take out most of the zombies. 2 of them are takeout in this way. The melee starts to push their ways out of normal zombies.

During the zombie's turn, zombies start to hug the melee survivors, d.i.c.kers start to fire their beams at hugged melee and any range users that are in their range, furthermore, there are smokers all focus their breaths on a target area where there are the most melee survivors at while they try to move as close as they can.

Notice Smokers have triggered the Smoke storm (4 x 4 AoE 30 damage per turn for 2 turns)

All survivors on that area instantly died while some melee survivors died due to zombies focus the attacks and hugs on them.

3 Hulks are moving along with 2 hulks who is behind them.

Move away from your allies, the red scarf man panicked, anyway the zombies are going to get them if they are too far away from each other.

I get up and see what your next turn is,

What you are going to do, Junais hug my arm like there is no bother.

Well, the fight is a bit strange, there are normally not much too often that zombies can focus fire survivors. Maybe brainy is hiding in one of the zombies.

Everyone did their best on killing normal zombies, but they seem to position in a way that survivors are forced to group up for the smoker's breath attack.

Zombies once again have taken a lot of melee users this time around, smokers like seems to use their breaths to create choke points by limiting the space that can be move, while the d.i.c.kers are in charge of clearing the melee survivors

Notice survivors have the choice to revive themselves

They charge and manage to kill 3 more smokers and triggered explosion to them, it takes 70% of the d.i.c.kers along with them. There is a large head popping out of the smokers has exploded, I just simply shoot that head and along with it.

The smoke released by smokers haven't dispelled, everyone has informed by Ava and currently taking the antitoxin pill to counter it

What a relayer? A relay messager? What the strange zombie

Relayer

Description: A goblin size zombie that its main job is to relay commands from brainy to the rest of the zombies.

Lame cheap zombie, brainy is the best zombie to be killed, maybe there is a few more brainy to kill, I seriously need more Int based books. That is the thought that flash on my mind. As I spray another volley of shotgun shots while moving forward to the hulk while the gun firing totally cancels off whoever is shouting commands or orders, it killed 2 hulks and a few zombies on the background. I pop 2 antitoxin pills as smokes are overfilled in the room and are looking for ways to escape in order to reduce the effect of the smoke happening to me.

At the meantime Alice blast her fireball at the d.i.c.k of the d.i.c.ker (ouch burning d.i.c.k, Sam and his team blast their way through the hordes of zombies, at the same time Mist of protection reduce the damage when group together, thus they push more to towards hulks, leaving weaker of half-dead zombies for the weaker survivors to finish it off. Fast moving survivors like Chung Tai pick off d.i.c.kers, they pinpoint specials zombies like smokers, hunks, d.i.c.kers and etc. As for now survivors already do not care about saving pills for the future, thus will take pills to restore health to put up a fight when they are out of mana or hp.

Notice the great explosion has triggered rage mode on all zombies on the battle

All the zombies turn red including the d.i.c.kers, as their all their veins and blood vessels are filled with blood thus making their d.i.c.k looks bigger and powerful. Normal zombie start to become more beefy, while that one hulk has its body turn red, while the other 2 hulks behind become glowing red.

Description: Improved and upgraded hulk that is in a rage who can charge more than 3 targets while knocking back at 5 spaces

Both Raging Charger charges themselves towards me, while the reminder d.i.c.kers cover fire for the two chargers. Maybe due to my death counter stance, I can manage to counter-attack at a few of them. I currently am pretty out of ammo, 15 more shells left that is for 3 auto shots. Boom as a loud bang as 2 chargers slam me at the same time, as they continue to bulldoze the rest of the survivors away. I am a pretty critical state as the combined damage took 98% of my total health as I fell on the ground.

Finally, it is the survivors turn, I try to get up since it is a knockback, it does not end my turn, I take a good look as I look, the rest of survivors start to revive, the red scarf man died, so everyone now gets a DEbuff of -3 Dex. I am shocked to see that even more survivors died. Mind tactic enables me to see the numbers of enemies and allies. There is a brainy hiding behind the chargers, there are one brainy overseeing a charger, while the d.i.c.kers are cover-fire for the chargers, I do not except that to happen. I move as close as I can to the rowers of d.i.c.kers then I clear them with a shotgun.

Elder brainy

Description: A smarter and experienced brainy which it can control more zombies to achieve greater goals.

Well, those brainy sure know how to hide their presences and command their zombies at distances. Have to kill them in a way that it is unexpected. The smoker is finally taken out, while chargers have some light damage from survivors, survivors start to spread out, a few intentionally hide behind the zombie, thus when the charger charge, the zombie will be taken the shock for them.

Notice if there are the senior engineer in the company, why can't be elder, both means the same thing.

I am seriously speechless once I heard the notice.

Each charger now starts one punching people which kill 2 people while each brainy start mind blasting some people which stuns them from the next turn. In the end, 4 people died and leaving at least 2 people are stunned

I swap out my gun with the slingshot and move to the chargers, and attack one then set up Death counter stance and calling out all to focus on the one that I shoot, while the rest focus on the charger.

This around, the charger has nearly died, it charge knock 3 more people and knock me to death. While I shoot it with the slingshot

Death counter stance trigger: if you have taken a blow that instantly kills you, there is 5% of return the damage and effect to the user

Charger died and I died too as I do the counter charge on the charger and smash the brainy to another charger but I died after charging.

Brainy is full opening for the attack, while another brainy manage to kill another 2 more people with another charger kill another 4 more people for charging.

I manage to revive, the brainy are dead, while the pair is slowly being damaged by the rest, I wait for a while to let the damage gathered, I run as quickly as I can, and spray the charger and brainy. But brainy manage to escape, upon landing on the hot pellets, brainy try to stable itself, but I have already changed my weapon to my slingshot and ready for the kill.

SPLAT brainy is dead, well it is an insane battle, and people have died 2 to 3 times, it is better to call it a day. Okay, guys revive yourself, call it a good day.

Notice to all Mission rating is worst. All survivors have one revive coin consumed. All drop increase by 3 times. The reason is mass death, the death of the temporary leader and safe zone master

I shouted, "Finally we won the battle". As the mist slowly regen the survivor's health. People slowly get the point. To everyone know that it is the end of the battle. They feel fatigue and muscles scores, they have no choice but to return back to a safe area to rest. Everyone knows that it is just a bitter victory but everyone is hungry after the battle so the life and trade continue on 8th floors as normal.

The red scarf man come and ask me that why do I am so quick on expanding the floors, I reply him loudly so everyone can hear me, it is because of people in trash apartment, they are expanding rapidly, in a rate that we can't match them, Everyone can see below them, their bodies have mutated a bit with the animals or insects. This is mere day 3, we are under level and we have too little in number, can't you see they own the apartment and carpark beside it now, the next day, they are going to own the block of shops. We are trapped if we continue this way. If you guys are unhappy that you lose a mere revive coins, in the open, you lose even more revive coins.

Some of you will know how they treat others. We know death is a painful experience but it is better to get stronger while dying than allow them to kill you to farm you for the experience.

Therefore it is more important to quickly get floors expanded, so better and more buildings to be built, hopefully, can manage to build something that is useful enough.

Despite the safe zone are rapidly regenerating my stamina, I still feel very tired and check the vending machine on its new function

It is just the same fusion function but you can see the percentage of chance of success.

There is a new pop up that shows that I could make a pant, shoes and etc. I select pants and shoes

and use my previous loots except for books and equipment.
