Tales of The Mighty Dragonair

1051 The End Of The Novel - Part 2

Arthur's wait didn't last for long. After the rumblings continued for five long minutes, a bright flash white light was birthed from the center of that prison.

A gush of energy spread all around in a growing wave before a bulb of light appeared from there. This wave of light carried a hidden pressure that didn't create any problems for Arthur to withstand.

It wasn't just a probe attack, but also a way to scan the entire world. That wave expanded beyond Arthur's vision, and ended up engulfing the entire world in mere minutes.

However Arthur's gaze was focused on top of that ball of light. The bright white light masked the vision from seeing what lies beneath it.

"Welcome to my friend from far," a soft voice appeared, carrying its own charm and melody. Arthur was surprised to realize that the owner of this aura, the strange creature he waited for, was actually a female.

Yet he couldn't see through the thick viel of bright white light to determine if she was a human or something else.

"Sorry to disturb your sleep, but I needed to do so. I hope you don't mind," Arthur's voice came strong and domineering like usual, while showing no weakness or doubt.

He knew if that creature decided to fight, this fight would end in his victory. So he wasn't pressured at all.

"I see you came across the same path as mine, another colleague in the path of the grand ascension I see," the creature spoke in her charming tone before she stood ten miles away from the broken farm. Arthur didn't know why but he felt like that lady was gazing up at the farm at the moment, and he even felt a tinge of sadness and regret stemming from his opponent.

Yet the words he heard piqued his interest. He didn't know what that lady said, so he asked:

"What do you mean by that?"

"You don't need to cover it up, I can already sense the same type of higher energy running through your body," the soft voice replied while Arthur felt her gaze falling on top of his body. "You also have the seed of the system. I have to congratulate you, I still couldn't get it even after all these long years. May I ask how you obtained it?"

Arthur had to admit that this lady was acting strange. How could she tell he had a system? And also what did she mean about having a seed of a system?

Despite wanting to ask, he didn't. Arthur felt that even if he asked, this lady wouldn't tell.

"I just got lucky," he simply said, "now can you please leave this world? I still have unfinished business here."

A silence was his answer for long minutes. Arthur wasn't in a rush to hear an answer from her. After all he held the higher authority and power here.

"You are seeking to unify the worlds under your reign… Impressive ambition. I have to admit that I'm lacking compared to you."

"Thanks."

Arthur felt like this lady didn't intend to leave in peace. He felt that a but was coming after what she said. And he was correct about that.

"But I have to ask for something in return."

"What is it? C'mon, I'm in a good mood today."

"I want that thing," the lady pointed towards the broken farm. Despite not seeing her body, he could see a stretch of white energy as she pointed towards that prison. "Also you took many of the seeds I planted there. I have to trouble you and call them back."

"Seed?" Arthur feigned his surprise, "I don't know what you are talking about."

Silence came once again, but this time Arthur could see wisps of white energy moving out from that ball of light and surrounding him.

"Are you trying to provoke me?" Unlike what that lady predicted, Arthur's casual tone came in response to such a move.

"Can you see my energy? Amazing!" The lady seemed surprised this time. "But leaving behind such great effort will make my attempt useless. You either bring back what you took from me or fight me here."

"Force me then," Arthur said with a sneer, "if you have the ability!"

"Let's see if you are arrogant or deluded to be stronger than me," the lady said in a vicious tone, so much different than what she showed before.

Arthur saw the ball of light moving towards him. However despite him seeing her move at a slow pace, her speed was fast, much faster than what he could see.

In the blink of an eye, she moved and arrived at his side. What Arthur felt was great pressure exerted over him and the next moment he could feel the large black scale his body turned into flickering under that pressure.

"Oh, you have strong defense here," the shocked shout from the lady came to tell Arthur she didn't expect such a result. Despite not being able to see how she attacked, it seemed she already hit him.

"My turn," as she attacked, he couldn't be a gentleman and let her off this easily. The next moment he started to ignite all his golden pearl energy inside his body.

Instead of that big black scale, his body started to twist and show a mirage behind that scale. He didn't see it clearly, but he could faintly feel a golden body appearing behind.

It was a large image of his own body, an image of his incomplete golden body. The moment that body appeared, Arthur felt an obvious increase in that lady's tension and anxiety. And that came clearly in her tone when she exclaimed in shock:

"A golden body? You train in the golden god energy?!!"

Arthur didn't answer her in words, but actions. The next moment a sword appeared in his hand. And it was his turn to change into a bright star, shining with golden blinding light that masked up his entire existence.

"Woosh!"

"Not this easily!"

The lady tried to run and retreat as fast as she could. But how could Arthur let her run away? He simply followed and stuck to her side like an annoying bug.

"Get away!"
