Tales of The Mighty Dragonair

1072 Chapter 11: Turning Into A Dragon!

The eerie silence was driving Arthur mad!

Strangely the darkness started to make swirling movements as soft rays of luminescent light started to shyly appear each time the darkness swirled.

"What is this place?" Arthur astoundingly questioned as he turned around and glanced all over the place. Despite his tries, he felt he couldn't break through this heavy veil of darkness that enveloped him.

The darkness tightened its hold on him. Ribs screamed in agony as Arthur wordlessly prayed for mercy.

"I won't let him die here with us!"

All of sudden Arthur heard this female voice scream. Taken aback by the sheer familiarity he felt in that voice, Arthur hurriedly scanned the world looking for the source of that scream.

"He won't understand, we won't be able to tell him anything."

This time the voice came from another swirl point and it was a man's voice.

"Who are you? Do we know each other?" He shouted in desperation as he longed for answers that he had no hope of answering himself.

"What the hell is going on?" Arthur questioned as his patience started to snap. "I have to go out, I have to maintain the resonance of my dragonair energy."

Just as he said those last words, the entire darkness abruptly trembled. It seemed like a beast lying underneath it got restless by his words and decided to express his annoyance from his words.

"He is a dragonair, he will know what to do!"

Again this soft female voice came and this time Arthur felt like the entire world exploded.

Arthur's body was overcome with a feeling of a gush of warmth that he lacked during his stay in that hideous place.

Arthur's body broke free from the chains of darkness. When Arthur regained his senses back for a brief moment he saw a symbol, shining so bright and releasing all the warmth he felt now.

Just before his mind could think about this symbol, he was hit by a strong wave of energy that made him exit the place and return to reality.

"What the hell happened just now?" Arthur nervously, silently asked himself as he was shocked to numbness that he couldn't find the strength to voice those words.

As Arthur was trying to control his numb body with thousands of questions racing through his mind, Arthur could hear the echoes of a vicious laugh in the background.

"I'll kill you old beggar, let the last line of the mighty Anobal family perish here on my hand," the guard laughed hysterically like was possessed by a demonic force. His voice was drenched in cruelty that came from the deep abyss of hell.

"I dare you." Arthur screamed in a strong tone while his numbness was fading away, "you bastard!"

Arthur clenched his hands, feeling more energy gathered inside his body. He glanced with extreme anger towards that distasteful guard.

Waves of rage swarmed through his blood with nails dug deep into his warm flesh, ruby red blood built underneath his nails, and all he could feel was desire to kill that guard.

Arthur was so overwhelmed with rage that he didn't realise what was happening to his body.

His body started to transform.

Arthur's body was immeasurable as he towered over the guard with his semi-translucent blue scales swept over his human flesh as it melted away.

Arthur's razor sharp tail swung in the air every time he moved. The guard was frozen in fear as the terrifying tail moved closer to his defenseless body.

Arthur could see the panic shining in the weak guards' eyes. He knew he was powerless to fight Arthur, which brought a smile to Arthur's face. Sharp crystalline teeth glistened in the dark empathising their deadliness.

The guard went pale to death as horrific horns grew out of Arthur's head.

"H- H- How is that even possible?'' The guard astoundingly questioned the terrifying beast.

"Wouldn't you like to know," Arthur replied condescending as he realized he turned successfully into a dragon. "No need to waste my energy over a dead man," Arthur smiled smugly, causing his teeth to glisten fiercer in the darkness.

The next instant he opened his mouth and started to channel his energy. This lost feeling felt like a warm embrace of a lover to him.

And then a fountain of white fire ejected off his mouth, surrounded by blue arcs of lightning that kept dancing all the time restlessly.

"Boom!"

Yet the moment his fire breath touched the bars, the bars vibrated and a shield appeared to stop his attack.

"Hahaha, I forgot you were locked behind these mighty bars," the guard nervously laughed before his face turned serious, "I'll go and bring my friends. No, I'll bring everyone. We have a dragon in the castle, a dragon that will be slain tonight by our hands."

Just before he could move a couple of steps towards the distant stairs, Arthur's eyes shone with a blue luminous light. The fire he breathed started to show signs of breaking through.

Instead of his white furious fire a smoky golden fire started to appear that had  jet black lines in them.

"Sizzle!"

"Sizzle!"

"Sizzle!"

Arthur's deadly fire started to melt the shield of the cage that the guard was so confident about. Arthur imagined that smug smile being wiped out when the guard realized his mistake… These bars couldn't protect him at all.

As Arthur continued to use his fire to attack and destroy the shield, he cockily watched the guard turn to a human deathless blue when he spotted the shield about to break.

"Damn you, you bloody scum bag. I am going to kill you, mindless beast," the guard screamed with real fear. The guard mustered up all the power he could and without hesitation he threw the long, smooth and deadly sharp spear towards Arthur.

"Swish!"

Yet the moment that spear touched his scales it got deflected, leaving nothing behind.

"Swoosh!"

"Thud!"

The translucent blue scales had ejected from Arthur's body as quickly as a snake!
