Tamer of Cosmic Beasts

Akash bared his claws and with a clean sweep, he tore the belly of the dragon apart. This female was smaller than the former Duke Black Dragon, around 60 meters tall. Akash cut and pulled out the dragon's insides, he saw the ovaries and gently cut them. Two eggs were there, one was whole while the other was already destroyed inside the belly.

Akash tsked and took the former out, it was pitch-black. Akash sensed the baby inside and was relieved after checking that it was healthy and unharmed.

"I found my next pet."

Akash said to himself.

*beep*

[The King cannot make a contract with any other beast except one that's provided by the System.]

Akash had an expressionless face after hearing that.

[The King will have beasts that will be many magnitudes stronger, the rest can only pale in comparison.]

Akash replied.

"True, Ponytail has proven as much. Nevertheless, this is still a very powerful beast..."

[The King can gift it to a trusted subordinate.]

"That's what I'll do then."

Akash decided before asking again.

"Will keeping it in my inventory harm it?"

[No, the egg will be safe there.]

"Alright then."

Akash put the egg in an empty inventory slot and looked at the mother dragon. He wanted to feast on it but his conscience didn't allow it.

"You gave me a good gift, so I'll spare your body. And don't worry, I'll make sure to give your child to someone who will treat it as their own."

After that, Akash searched but couldn't find any more beasts to feast on, he only wanted to feast on beasts with a bloodline of Star Emperor or higher.

The rest kept on working throughout the entire day and rested at night. It took them a total of three days to fully harvest everything on the list. Some were hard to cut, some were deeply hidden inside just like the cores, there were thousands of beasts to loot. After which, the dead bodies were buried with respect. Akash had ordered everyone to bury the beasts from Black Dragon's side as well.

~3 Days Later~

The beasts and Akash's force got friendly over time. They all gathered on the fields, while Akash was floating in mid-air as he addressed them.

"From today onwards I, Akash Tagar, will be your duke and this dukedom will now be renamed to V-Valley Dukedom. I am benevolent to those deserving of it and loyal to me, however, I can also be be quite cruel to those who aren't. It's up to you how you want to be treated, I will launch an attack sooner or later on the other dukedoms and will conquer them one by one until my claws reach the necks of those kingdoms and empires.

Those who want to live with their head held high can join my army, riches and power will be bestowed upon them. Those who don't want to risk their lives and instead spend it with their family can go wherever they want. I will not harm anyone that wants to leave now. Quickly decide. Those who want to join me, stand on the right, otherwise you can stand on the left."

The huddle divided into two. From an army of around 20,000. only 3000 beasts went to the left, one of them was One-Eyed Wolf.

Akash looked at One-Eyed Wolf, the latter flinched. The new duke spoke.

"Don't worry, wolf. I respect your decision. You can live your life peacefully with these people around you in my dukedom. However, you are prohibited from acting against me or holding any ulterior motives. There will be only one army in my dukedom and that would be mine. If any other army is made in my territory without a valid reason and without my knowledge, it will be considered as an act of treason."

One-Eyed Wolf bowed to Akash Tagar and spoke.

"Duke Akash, don't worry. I will do nothing of the sort. In truth, I wanted to serve you as well. But... I have a wife and daughter. My parents were killed while I was still young, thus I don't want my family to suffer that same fate."

Akash nodded.

"Give my regards to your family."

"I will."

As One-Eyed Wolf and the rest turned to part ways with Akash, they heard a loud blast. Everyone turned their eyes, what they saw was a large thousand meters long chasm.

The System sent a message to everyone in Akash's force, which they immediately followed.

An owl came from the chasm, a 45 meters long owl. It had a pair of sharp claws, purple eyes and was of a creamy-ivory colour. Akash checked its profile.

Akash's eyes widened as he saw the beast, it was his first time seeing one like it in his new life. The owl caught the interest of the gigantic army on the fields and spoke.

"My my, what do we have here?"

The female owl flapped her wings and landed on the mountain.

"Did a war occur here recently?"

"Yes."

Akash replied.

"Oh, so who killed Duke Black Dragon?"

The owl asked and, immediately, everyone looked at Akash, however, he cunningly pointed towards the moose and answered.

"Duke Shine Moose was the one who killed Black Dragon."

Owl checked Akash Tagar and found out he was only at the 1st Star, her suspiciousness vanished. She looked at Shine Moose and checked his cultivation level. Her eyes widened as she couldn't check it, that only meant he had some special power preventing it or was simply at a higher realm.

Regardless, the moose was a threat. Ivory Ocean Owl expanded her wings as her eyes glowed and within a few seconds, Shine Moose's head exploded, the remains falling to the ground. After which, the owl checked everyone else but it seemed like the rest couldn't hide their power, so she laughed before speaking.

"Now that the moose is dead, let's give you a new living leader instead!"

The owl hooted and the army of beasts fell from the chasm to the other side of the mountain.
