The Adventurer System

A tremendous collision emerged on the tenth floor of the Dungeon Castle, then it shook the entire place in an instant.

Then suddenly, the white grasshopper ice blade was whirling around in the mid-air with exceeded speed.

Boom!

As soon as the monster weapon fell to the ground, it created a white smoke that was enough reason to stop them for a couple of seconds.

Yumiro gazed at his hands with an exhausted facial expression. "This is the true capability of this knife?" He asked himself with a weak tone.

In his mind, why were his hands uncontrollably moving? It seemed it was not about his strength as he even maximized his body with the [Physical transmission] skill, still, the Kariki knife wildly swing in the air. 

"Grim, are you okay?" Asarki said by using the party function.

In far Yumiro nodded with a gasped expression. "Yeah, I'm fine..." He replied.

"There's something I would like to suggest." Asarki said in a low voice.

"W-What is it?" He stuttered.

"We need to leave this place, the monster here is become dangerous with your abilities right now..." Asarki said while staring at Grim from afar.

"No, I'll finish this monster." Yumiro said, then slowly pushing himself into a stood-up position.

"B-But why? There's no reason to continue this expedition, we need to let go the ambition to defeat this dungeon record." Asarki explained to him.

"I don't have any reason to continue this, bu..." He couldn't complete his words as he hasn't had enough courage to do that.

"B-But... What?" She stuttered once again as she was eager to know what was the reason why he pursued himself to defeat the white grasshopper. 

"You've nothing business with it, there's no reason to bother to you. If you wanted to leave, leave now, I'll just want to finish this fight." Yumiro knew Asarki won't leave him as she wasn't that kind of girl, however, the main reason why keep continue this expedition was because he noticed this will be the last monster before Asarki become a level 20 adventurer. "Tch! Why I'm doing this? I promise to myself I don't have any interaction with another adventurer around here. But why?" He murmured.

"I will not abandon you!" She yelled with an anxious expression.

"Whatever..." He replied, then darted his eyes in front of him as the monster there was recovered from his attack.

Grrr!

The monster growled and washed away all the things that could block its vision.

For the first time, Yumiro could land massive damage, however, it made the monster become more aggressive.

He saw the monster left blade was still burning by his black fire and even though the monster's freezing body wasn't enough to stop it.

Creek!

The white grasshopper charged again, but this time it was just using its 4 feet in behind since it could maintain its balance if it used the remaining ice blade to skate in the polish surface.

As expected, the monster's movements were affected by the adventurer attack that gave him a chance to carefully watch its movements.

"It's my turn..."

[Dash!]

Yumiro dashed on the brick surface as his burning feet easily melted the ice surface. Yet, the main problem here the monster all ready stacks by 4 attacks, which means one more attack could activate its passive skill that could turn the favor of a fight in an instant.

"I should dodge every attack of this monster."

[Physical transmission!]

To increased his speed and strength he enhanced all the parts of his body as he let go of the idea that he needed to conserve his power even though there were fifteen floors waiting for them.

The red color of his scales was strongly added by [Physical transmission] skill, then he swiftly dashed directly to the monster.

In his mind, one more contact with the monster ice blade, his body probably froze for 0.5 seconds, nevertheless that freezing time was enough to eliminate him in the VR world.

"I should avoid to keep clashing with the monster's weapon. So, there's no other choice I must use the same skill even it's hard to control."

[Black-Fire Blade!]

A strong fire occurred again in his Kariki knife, but the scene that happened to him was the same as he keeps using a big amount of his strength to not wildly move his arms. 

"This is yours!" Yumiro widely swayed his left arm along with the help of his right hand.

A keen fire blade moving uncontrollably in the mid-air, however, the close distance of him within the monster was the main reason why he was impossible to miss with his attack.

Boom!

In just 2.0 seconds, the monster received again massive attack, eventually fell to the ground, and slid closer to the adventurer.

The strong force blew all the things inside the tenth floor, except for Grim Draigh that fearlessly stood up straight in the amid with the thought to finish the attack in an instant.

Swoosh!

Then suddenly, while the monster laid to the ground its body emitted extreme radiance that seemed along with the new problem.

Shhh!

The temperature on the tenth floor was getting stronger and stronger as the monster releasing body release a severe coldness. Seemingly the temperature now in this place was over 5 degrees that could freeze everything.

"What's going on?" Yumiro said, then stared at his feet seeing the monster's ice blade touched on it. "This is possible? I didn't receive any damages why does the monster passive skill activate?"

From far, Asarki soon to be frozen by the monster's passive skill as she couldn't move some parts of her body.

"G-Grim, let's leave we can't defeat this monster..."

But the answer she received was the same thing. "No, this is the end of it."

Since Yumiro borrowed the magma salamander skill, his body became immune from the white grasshopper skill.

"Just stay still, you're just frozen but you will never die..."

Pop! Pop! Pop! Pop! Pop!

As soon as Yumiro wanted to settle the fight, blue particles arose in the place as it seemed there were new creatures were coming.

"New adventurers?"
