The Adventurer System

Chapter 148 - Finding Collar

Under the night skies, Yumiro decided to stay at the Draven sea. Just to feel the warm breeze which made to feel more relax.

"Are you good, if we rest in this place for this night?" Yumiro suggested to them nonchalantly.

"Yes, brother Grim I would like to stay here for more." Yuki cheerfully responded to him.

"How about you, Chirla? What is your decision?" Yumiro asked.

"I'll stay by your side, Adventurer Grim! I decided to serve you for my entire life." Chirla said, then kneeled in front of him to show her loyalty.

"What are you doing, Chirla? Stand up, you don't need to kneel just because of me. You're free, you can go to the place wherever you want to go." He explained the condition why he helped her.

"I know, adventurer Grim. But I have now nowhere to go. So let me repay your kindness." Chirla said while showing her neck that set free from the collared slave.

"Jeez, you didn't understand, Chirla. You can't work for me or serve me, just live your own life." His voice was raised a bit as he knew this woman would be persistent to come along with him.

"My life is to serve others, I could never escape with this fact." Chirla said.

Yumiro gently rubbed his chin, thinking about the best plan for Chirla. "What about some job, in the Capital?"

She shook her head. "I can, b-but probably they will treat me just like a slave." Chirla stuttered.

"If they treat you in the same way, fight back."

"I can't, Adventurer Grim. They could kill me whenever they want."

"Who said it to you that you will fight them? You should call me, and I'll never hesitate to give you a hand." Yumiro said with a persuasive tone.

"Yes, I'll do my best to have a new life. Thanks again for your big help, Adventurer Grim."

"Yeah, yeah, it's enough, Chirla. We make drama scene here."

After those words, Yumiro leaned his back on the coconut tree and planning to use it to support his body. As he was about to come back to the real world.

"I'll guess it's time to leave, I'm going back to my inn." Asarki said while moonlight touched his astonishing hair.

"Is that so? Then you can leave, and meet me in this place in the early morning."

Asarki frowned her brows. "Again? And you're late again, cut that crap!" She said as she was frustrated since the Guild selection was about to come.

"For real, we will find an item for Yuki tomorrow. We should follow our plan." He said in a cold tone, then tilted his head a bit and simply glance at the skies.

Asarki quickly understood what Grim plotting about, or to be exact, he mentioning the process of Yuki becoming a slave.

"Make sure that you came at the right time because if you are 10 minutes late I'll proceed with my plan." She told to Grim the consequences.

"Okay, okay, I know. Also, I would like to go to the place where Yuki could train."

"Okay, let's talk about this tomorrow. Goodbye!"

...

[7:30 PM]

After Yumiro saw Chirla and Yuki had a good condition at the Draven sea. He clicked the log-out icon, so he could back into the real world.

Distorted white lights flashed in his eyes as his mind passing through his true body.

Swoosh!

"Ahh!"

Yumiro felt someone hardly pinched his head, so he swiftly took off the black VR helmet along with a knitted expression.

"My head, it's getting stronger and stronger every time I log out? This is because of the strong radiation?" Yumiro discovered.

He slowly wiped his eyes to clear his vision, then glance around. He noticed he was sitting in his wheelchair, and seeing Amiya already left her place earlier.

"Where's Amiya? Seem like he logs out first." He didn't intend to call her as he was already sleepy.

In front of him, food and medicine that placed on the wooden table. Yet, Yumiro was looking at it with his lifeless whisky eyes.

He deeply sighed as he could not escape from this type of situation. To regained his strength, Yumiro finished his food and take his medicine. He then got back from his room.

...

On the other day, Yumiro heard the wildly ringing of his alarm clock. So he mildly slapped it to stop it.

Next to it was Amiya that already expecting her brother would do it. "Get up, brother Yumiro. It's time for your breakfast and medicine."

Yumiro stretched his arms along with a wide yawned. "Okay..." He responded in a lifeless voice, he then wiped his sleepy eyes.

"Brother tries to be energetic, no something good will happen if you continue to act like this." Amiya advised him.

"I'll try, Amiya. Yet, you're going to back the VR world?" He asked with a weak tone.

Amiya nodded, then looking at him with meaningful eyes. "Yes, we have important business with our guild. Which means, I can't come along with you."

"No problem, Amiya. We also doing something important and need to prepare in Guild selection." Yumiro said while he was assisting by Amiya to hop in his wheelchair.

"Is that so... Speaking of, which Guilds do you prefer to join?" Amiya had forgotten that her brother fought Orlan in his quest, as she was busy with their guild, and problematic since her brother needed money for his next therapy.

"I have no idea, but if I can't choose I will be forced to join in the Blue leaf guild." Yumiro replied in a low voice.

Then suddenly, Amiya chuckled at what she heard. Thinking her brother now learned how to spit some joke.

"B-Brother you made me laugh, will be forced? Hahaha!" Amiya laughing out loud, and the tears formed in corner of her eyes.

Yumiro frowned his brows as he understood what the means of that laugh. "Why you didn't believe me?"

"No, no, no, let's get head to the kitchen." Amiya presented that she believed, but Yumiro knew about it. "Brother Yumiro, you're welcome to our Guild."

"No, I'll look for the other guild. And I'll ask Alison about this." Yumiro snickered, knowing Alison was quite popular to know it by his sister.

However, the scene that happened was different. "B-Brother I can't breathe, stop joking around. Even you become popular because you fight a green frog, there's no reason good reason for them to get interested in you."

Yumiro won't mind her words, in his mind, if his sister didn't believe him. He probably makes a way to prove himself.

"Okay, okay as you said."

Both of them headed to the kitchen and finished their all-important stuff in the real world.

One hour had passed, then in his grasp was a VR helmet.

"I'm headed first, Amiya." Yumiro informed her with a weak tone.

Amiya nodded at him. "Yes, brother Yumiro. I'm going to finish the dishes and I'll get back in the VR world too."

"Okay, then see you around, Amiya. I hope we can meet there as soon as possible."

"Oh... Don't be sad, Brother Yumiro. I'm also there in the Guild selection, so show me what you got there." Amiya encouraged him.

"Yes! Goodbye!"

Amiya waves her hand along with the bubble that came from the dishwashing liquid. Yet, she remembered something important.

"Hmm... What happens to his quest? This is the reason why he looks so sad? Why I didn't realize it much early."

...

The sea waves that slapped in the seashore and rocks were perceived by his ears. As Yumiro successfully got back into his VR body.

As soon as he opened his eyes, he was dazzled by the sunlight. Which made him stood up, and shifted in position.

"Oh, what I great feeling..." Yumiro mumbled and didn't notice a woman was glaring in front of him.

[9:00 AM]

"You said in the early morning? Did you haven't any clock in your home or you're just in a different time zone?!" Asarki angrily said.

"Oh, I'm sorry. I'm not that kind of fast, so expect sometimes I'll be late." Yumiro had an uneasy smile on his face.

"Whatever let's go, bunches of stuff we need to finish right now," Asarki said.

"Yeah, you're right. But, where are Yuki and Chirla?"

"They already awake, they just looking for some seashell." She pointed her index finger at the seashore, then seeing them there "Hmm... Called them we were about to leave." She ordered him.

Yumiro looking at him suspiciously, yet he couldn't do anything about it since he made a mistake.

"Yeah..." He turned, then raised his hand along with a gesture. "Chirla! Yuki! Come over here!"

As soon as the NPC reached him, Chirla bestowed a seashell necklace.

"Adventurer Grim, this an appreciation for saving me." Chirla wore it to him, without giving Yumiro to check what was it.

"T-Thank you, Chirla. But, let's have some food there." He said with a reddened face.

Asarki used the teleportation crystal and directly went to their destination.

"Asarki, where I can learn more magic?"
