The Adventurer System

At this point, Yumiro needed an adventurer who was knowledgeable about the game. Also, an adventurer could show some of the techniques of the swordsman class.

Hippie looking at Grim's toe up to his head, finding where was the black shimmering armor she saw in the video clip.

"Grim Draigh--" She stopped after seeing Grim raised his left hand while walking in the straight path.

"Just call me Grim, that's fine with me." He said in a low voice.

"Okay, from now on I'll call you Grim. But, can I ask you one question?" Hippie said with a polite tone.

He barely tilted his head on his behind. "What is it?"

Hippie wanted to know the outward appearance she had seen before she passed out.

"You're wearing green armor earlier, right? I'm not sure because my vision is too vague. But, the way I look at it, it seems that is a valuable weapon." She said while attaining a closer distance to him.

To be more simple, Hippie was talking about the green scales of the Kobolds monster. Its thickness gave it to have a good defense in both physical and magical attacks.

"I didn't wear any armor, you just had a hazy vision." He replied nonchalantly, then stopped when they reached the endpoint. He turned left and right, thinking which was the best path was good to take.

"Is that so... I thought you're just hiding your true armor under your ordinary attire," Hippie said the words that were inside her thoughts.

"You should avoid asking a meaningless question, it might change my mind to tag you along in this party raid." He responded, then went to the left path.

"Oh, I apologize..." Hippie followed him while maintaining their distance to 2.5 meters.

At this juncture, Yumiro couldn't determine the exact length of this path. Only the place width that had 12 meters.

'It's too dark in this place.' He noticed the pillars here were quite limited. Or to be exact, in the middle of the path was one pillar, and its magical light wasn't enough to lighten the entire place.

"Grim, let me take the front line." Hippie volunteered, then ambled in front of him. "I have lighting skill here, it can help us to glance around." She suggested and raised the kobold's knife over her head.

[Fiery sword!]

As soon as she cast her skill, a white light emitting in the Kobold's knife. By just looking at it, it seems the range of this skill was 15 meters radius. It was long enough to see the thing in front of them. 

Hippie had an uneasy smile on her face. "I apologize, Grim. The light turned into a green light because this knife had a green blade."

Since the Kobold's knife had a green blade, the light inside of it was projecting green light all over the place.

"It's fine, as long as it can help us to see the monster."

Both of them continue their expedition inside the Barlane dungeon. In the quiet place, where the only sound you could hear was their footstep. It was inevitable for Grim to have some thoughts inside his head.

'If I complete this quest? This woman is also part of that achievement?' Yumiro wondered while looking at the woman merrily used her knife.

After a few minutes, Hippie and Yumiro did still not see the endpoint of this path. It seems this maze was harder than they were expected.

"Hey, Hippie." He called her to ask for something. "I didn't familiar with this place, so lead this expedition since you're quite knowledgeable about this place than mine."

She frowned her brows, as it was a direct task. Yet, she nodded to him without any hesitation to show she was ready for all the task Grim might have given.

Not to mention, Hippie was savvy with all the fundamentals about the game. As she was watching all the video clips on the online platform that could help her inside the game. By doing this, you could remember their movements and develop yourself as an adventurer.

"No worries, Grim. Just relax here and leave all the small jobs to me." She was optimistic since the man behind her was a popular rookie in the VR world.

Yumiro didn't know the reason why he felt light with this woman. He secretly smiles and said. "Do whatever you want, it's no big deal about me."

10 minutes had easily passed, 2:15 PM was the exact time in the VR real world and the real world. Nevertheless, they suddenly stopped as a new tunnel appeared in front of them.

Inside of it was surrounded by transparent crystal more likely the light used in this place. Once you look at it for too long it could dazzle your eyes.

"Hippie, did you reach this place?" Yumiro asked her as felt suspicious inside of it.

She shook her head while checking how long this tunnel was. "No, this is the first time I never see a tunnel that is full of lights before."

Yumiro smoothly rubbed his chin, thinking if this path would lead to a different place. "I feel something different in this tunnel, but I can't explain what is it."

"If you're bothered, Grim. Let me head first in this tunnel, so I can report what the thing I'll see inside." Hippie suggested.

'Eh? She loves to become bait, isn't it?' Yumiro uttered to his mind, also rejected her suggestion. "No, both of us will get inside. Also, I don't want to save you anymore."

Hippie is the 3rd adventurer that could join to Yumiro expedition. Roshy and Asarki complete their raid and no one died among them. He was thinking if this woman dies here because of her foolish decision, it might affect him in the future.

Grim Draigh was still well known as the KS specialist. So if Hippie dies here, the other adventurers would mock him.

Both of them started to move and inside was too much light. So Yumiro forcefully closed his eyes.

"Damn it! I can't see anything. The monsters probably attack us in this position." He said while barely opening his eyes.

"Don't worry, Grim. There's no monster exists here since this place is so bright. We know the monsters here are loved to hide in the place where the lights couldn't reach them."

In a bright place like this, monsters had sharp eyes would avoid it. Moreover, inhabiting a dark place was one of the monster's traits.

When they were going deeper and deeper the light became so much strong. At this moment, Hippie and Yumiro had zero visibility.

Bam!

After few minutes, both of them fell to the ground. Luckily, it wasn't too high so their HPs' was still 100%.

"Shit! What was that? Ah..." Yumiro said and when the time opened his eyes. He felt some pain.

"Grim, don't open your eyes yet." Hippie warned.

As expected, they were had teary eyes. So Grim and Hippie decided to stay on the ground for a couple of minutes.

After were few moments, Grim arrived in a new place. To begin with, he slowly opened his eyes when he felt the itchy feeling disappeared.

On the surface, it had the same texture as the red carpet. His vision was too hazy, so he rubbed his eyes.

"What is this?" As soon as his vision was back in its original state, he was dumbfounded.

Cold breeze touching on his skin, over him was the a dark ceiling. One thing he was sure of, this place was still inside the Barlane dungeon.

They were standing on the rounded platform, and in front of them was the straight that had 250 meters of length. 

Yet, the straight part had 2.5 meters of width. To see the things down there, he promptly sauntered closer to it.

When the moment he stepped on it, he stopped as this path was the bridge to the huge gate in front of them. Under of it, was too dark as he couldn't see anything down there. It seems, their current location was too high, once they fell with it. It could easily drain all their health powers.

Hipper was started to have a shivered legs. "Grim, w-we should get back. I'm afraid of heights." She stuttered.

Yumiro looking at her as he discovered she was stating a fact. However, two things bothered his mind. first, must be behind that huge gate where was the dungeon boss inhabited. The second one, the treasure room that Asarki mentioned to him.

If they find it, probably they would hit a jackpot. Based on what he heard from Asarki, that place was full of valuable items, so if that was true. He could sell it and starting to earn real money.

"No, we will go there?" He pointed his finger at the silver gate. "I know you already heard the treasure place, what if behind that gate is full of treasure." He said while having a malicious smile on his face.
