The Adventurer System

Chapter 165 - Upcoming Problem

Yumiro asked the woman next to him with encouraging eyes. Showing that he needed Hippie to complete his quest even Hippie was still clueless about this.

Hippie hummed while looking at Grim that she couldn't do anything to escape from this situation. So she worriedly rubbed the back of her, then nodded a bit.

"Fine, since there's no other option to get away from this." Hippie said and pushed herself into a stood-up position. "Count me in, you can rely on me in close combat."

Bam!

He barely tapped Hippie's shoulder. "If that's your decision. Let's get moving."

In the rectangle cart that hanged on the gate, Yumiro read that context. If you think logically, those words were suspicious so he kept them inside his mind.

"How we supposedly enter this gate?" He was cautious observing the mildly yellow gate. Wondering if there was any planted trap here.

To begin with, he straight toward his arms, then held the two metal bars. By holding into it he felt a mild heat passing through his hands.

Moreover, both of them awaited how the gate would react. But luckily after a few seconds, there was no unexpected occurrence that could harm them.

"It's safe, no traps and no sign the monster will approach us." After those words, he hardly gripped the two metal bars, then suddenly pushed it with some of his strength.

Bam!

The one gate split into two pieces and each one of it touched on the pillars. Which made the surface shook a bit.

He took a glance at his behind. "Hey, don't lose yourself. We aren't yet inside." He warned her after seeing this woman couldn't make a focus in this expedition.

She flinched as she didn't anticipate Grim starting watching her. Also, there were some thoughts that bothered her mind.

"I'm sorry, Grim. I'm just thinking what's inside of it." She pointed her index finger at the wooden that positioned at the middle two concrete sculptures.

"No matter what the thing inside, you could guarantee you will leave this place alive. As long as you're inside of my party raid." He gave her peace of mind, so he could lessen her tension.

"If you say so... Then fine with me. But if I see the condition inside is getting worst. I'll not hesitate to use my teleportation crystal." Hippie showed that she needed to continue to live in the VR world no matter what.

"Okay, there's no problem about that. And also, the exchange of the loots we could get inside is 50:50. I didn't mind if I'm the one who killed the monsters, but it just fixes in that range."

"Seem like, you're a man of your words let proceed in your plan. Also, if that suggestion is really true, it will be a big benefit to me."

"Yeah... I know."

After the conversation ended, both of them promptly sauntered to the brown in front of them.

The two concrete sculptures standing beside them, to the left side was a man raising his sword, and to the right side was a woman holding a shield.

By staring at those sculptures, it couldn't help for Yumiro to think that there was a meaning behind this. However, in his current situation, he had no any to prove it.

So to gather more information with this, he didn't hesitate to push again the wooden door.

"Let's see what's inside." He mumbled, then smiled a bit.

A strong brightness was the first thing they could see when they opened the door. So both of them covered their eyes as the light touched they dazzled them.

Nevertheless, Hippie was alarmed since there was a high tendency for the monsters to attack them in this state. "I can't lower my guard here." She positioned her hand on her right waist, to easily pull the Kobold's knife if the monster leaps toward her.

As soon as the white light disappeared, Yumiro slowly opened his eyes and seemed still not recovered from it. So he closed it once again and gently rubbed his eyes.

"Phew! What is wrong with this place? There's too much light." He complained to himself while looking at the place with hazy vision.

Since Yumiro couldn't see the place clearly, he invited Hippie to come with him. To avoid the chance that they were separated from each other as they were still ignorant about this place.

"Hey, if you don't want to lose. Maintain 2 meters distance away from me." He ordered him.

She blinking her eyes in confusion, yet, she nodded her head as she was obeying the order of the party leader.

Both of them passed at the brown door, then now looking at the ceiling. As they seeing huge chandeliers into it, and more likely this was the origin of the extreme brightness earlier.

Under them, was downstairs and if you count the steps it was a total of 15 steps. Hippie and Yumiro looking at each other with curious eyes and eventually nodded.

"Stay in behind, we'll go down."

The chandelier distance within the surface was 12 meters. It was quite high, however, the light releasing of it was enough to see all the things inside.

She crossed her arms and gently rubbed her skin. "This place made me chills, I'm afraid of something." Hippie was feeling there were upcoming skirmishes in this place.

The room was not that kind of spacious, or to be specific, the structures inside seemed rounded. Over them, was a floor and the bookshelves there were forming like a circle.

Yet, around them was surrounded by unfamiliar paintings that more likely it was the first they could see artwork like this. To the left side was upstairs that probably heading to the second floor where the numerous books were placed.

Nevertheless, in this place, there were always catching parts. So both of them were dumbfounded at the oval stage where the place was so empty. Just a white table that had 1 meter of width and 2 meters of height while the light spotting into it.

In his mind, he thought once he entered this place he could see the dungeon boss or the treasured place. However, a different thing happened.

Hippie sighed with relief as she didn't need to fight a monster in this room. But, couldn't take away her eyes at the podium.

"I guess we need to go there?" She unsure suggested.

Yumiro nodded a bit as he agreed to her. "Seems you're right, but you can tell me if there's something with this place or it just my imagination?"

"No, I can feel it too. We need to be careful and avoid unnecessary action."

The exact distance of the podium was 34 meters away from them, and those adventurers needed to amble in the red carpet before they reach it.

So without wasting more of their time, Yumiro started to move while Hippie keep obeying his order as she remained on Yumiro's back.

After a few were moments, Yumiro noticed there were four portals plastered on the wall. By seeing it, he couldn't help to didn't feel obnoxious as the portal would head them in a different location.

Orange, blue, yellow, and white those were the colors of the portals. Each color seems to represent something, that Yumiro needed to figure out.

"Grim, we should leave. This is place is quite dangerous." Hippie proposed and stepped back a little.

"I guess you're right. We need to avoid any casualties that might happen to us." He agreed since even him didn't know the intention of this place.

In his mind, forget the Barlane quest as finding the numerous Gobogren was a difficult task in the maze place.

He was optimistic that he could complete the quest, but the downside it will take a lot of time. That he must already spend that time with Yuki, so she could learn how to fight.

Yumiro suddenly chuckled. "It's embarrassing that we didn't get any loot in our expedition. This is the very first time for me. Inventory." He took the transparent crystal as he already planned to leave.

"No, it's not a big deal. I should thank you more since you save me from the monsters and give me this valuable item." Hippie merrily responded and pointed about the Kobolds knife.

To be exact, she was happy that they will leave this place.

"That's just a waste, I'll be off now so I could my back from my former party member." He said nonchalantly.

"B-By any chance, can I add you as my friend here? So you can call me if you need some help, also to pay my debt to you. I promise I'll give it tenfold." Hippie said.

Yumiro barely looking at the ceiling as he was thinking. "I didn't see any problem here, okay." He added her without thinking too much.

"Thank you, Grim. I hope I can repay you as soon as possible. Goodbye." She cheerful said and in her grasp was the crystal.

"Yeah, goodbye." He turned, then raised the crystal. "Bring me to the Tyrant forest."

"Bring me to the Adventure Capital!"

Both of them used the teleportation function, but all of a sudden, a red screen appeared in front of them.
